Cold Stare 3.15 @ 3/1
Ravenscraig Castle 3.50 @ 9/4
Beltane 7.15 @ 3/1
Selected Newbury – good ground on this flat and galloping track
4.10 A valuable fillies handicap , with a stack of in form and progressive types , but all have felt the wrath of the handicapper . Anything which crosses The Irish Sea has to be of interest and recent winner Night Sparkle cruised to victory at Fairyhouse , in her first start for Michael O’Callaghan and the stable jockey has made the trip too . Up 10 pounds , but grounds for thinking she’s up to it . Expect a prominent ride for this strong staying filly .
1/4pt ew Night Sparkle @ 8/1
4.45 PREMIUM RACE
5.20 Vegas Jack has run well in all three starts this season , looking unlucky more than once .This could be his day in a race far more about quantity than quality .
1/2pt ew Vegas Jack @ 8/1
Selected Haydock – good to soft on this flat and gallpoping track
2.05 A race where it’s easier finding more negatives than positives about the whole field , but the one with less negatives is Tele Red , who’s ran well a few times this season , has no issues with the ground and this prominent racer should be fine dropping in trip .
1/4pt win Tele Red @ 11/4
3.15 Cold Stare comes here on the back of a fine series of runs and has both the ground and the C&D very much in his favour today . This isn’t a deep race and can finally nail an overdue success .
1/2pt win Cold Stare @ 3/1
3.50 Ravenscraig Castle is a similar type , as he’s responded well to the drop in the ratings , with 3 seconds from 5 starts this season . He was only just touched off last time out in the Ayr mud last time and this looks at his mercy .
1/2pt win Ravenscraig Castle @ 9/4
Selected Nottingham – good to soft on this flat and galloping track
2.50 I’m having a little dabble on the unexposed Tiger Tap , who’s on a fair looking mark and decent chance he’ll handle the ground better than most .
1/4pt win Tiger Trap @ 12/1
4.40 Eltham Palace wasn’t far away last time , is down to her last winning mark and handles soft ground well.
1/4pt ew Eltham Palace @ 9/1
Selected Newmarket – good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
5.45 Only a short head separated Summit from Wild Goddess when both ran well on debut , and both should improve for this extra furlong , and as Summit is a much longer price , has to be the play .
1/4pt win Summit @ 9/2

7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.05 The very excellent front running Sophia’s Starlight , who comes here on a hat-trick , is up a further 6 pounds . She’s a C&D winner and is certainly improving , but may not have the lead to herself tonight as recent C&D winner , Star Guest , responded very well to the drop to this trip, making all and winning comfortably , and as she’s unexposed at this trip could be up to the massive 10 pound hit . This is far from a 2 horse war and the lightly raced Peony comes here on a hat-trick and just 4 pounds higher for a smart win at Haydock . Likely to benefit from the aforementioned pair battling for the lead .
1/4pt win Peony @ 7/1
8.40 No surprise that the lightly raced Conquistador is a warm order , racing off the same mark as when he was a magnificent 3rd of 26 at Royal Ascot , doing well from a poor draw. Even money never makes any appeal in a handicap and at the odds I’m with the reliable veteran Venturous , a C&D winner , who’s dropped to a good mark . Lively longshot
1/4pt ew Venturous @ 18/1
Selected Hamilton – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
7.05 PREMIUM RACE
8.50 This looks there for the taking and as A Day To Dream has optimum conditions , soft ground and a stiff track , has clear claims .
1/4pt win A Day To dream @ 7/2
No Hamilton placepot picks
Selected Ponty – good to soft on this undulating , very stiff and galloping track
6.05 The fav and clear form horse is Sleven , but he hasn’t been seeing his races out well and could well struggle on the ground up the hill to the post . Odette’s Beau didn’t come cheap . is with a stable renowned for sprinters and can produce them first time of asking
1/2pt win Odette’s Beau @ 7/1
7.15 Plenty of in form runners in this but the lightly raced Kentucky Bluegrass two wins have come in maidens , and a bit more to do tonight tackling a stiff track for the first time. Beltane has responded very well to the stable switch to Mike Appleby , 2 wins and 2 places from 4 tries this year , and comes here on the back of a smart win at Beverley in the mud , and just 2 pounds higher . Stiff tracks and this kind of ground is this tough customer’s thing .
1/2pt win Beltane @ 10/3
7.50 A chance can be given to all of these but the back to form Copper Knight , who bounced back to his best last time ,with no real warning , is only a pound higher , but this is likely to be too gruelling Elegant Erin was progressive last season and her wins include over C&D on easy ground. She did well on just her 2nd race since her break , just 2 lengths behind Copper Knight , but this C&D and ground should see her comfortably overturn that and gets the nod in a tough heat . All of the other 4 have clear chances .
1/4pt win Elegant Erin @ 11/4
8.25 Midyjama is a warm order , but 4 pounds higher for her win at Ffos Las , and her only try on soft ground wasn’t good, Forever Pound was a close up 4th last time at Carlisle on easy ground , so has conditions in her favour and should relish this extra furlong .
1/4pt ew Forever Poundv @ 8/1
9.00 C&d winner Run This Way finally responded to the ease in the ratings with a good 3rd at Carlisle on easy ground . Not many in this field will be as well suited to this stiff track on soft ground , including the fav , the long standing maiden Lord Abama . The well drawn tip shouldn’t be far away .
1/4pt ew Run This Way @ 6/1
