3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Alodia 2.30 @ 9/1
Elusive Tiger 3.05 @ 7/2
Black Poppy 1.35 @ 5/1
Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack
2.30 The vast majority of these are struggling for any kind of form at all , the exception being recent Brighton 2nd Alodia , who stays on the same mark, is proven at the trip and surface .
1/2pt win Alodia @ 9/1
3.05 Another race where it’s hard finding genuine contenders , and the reliable No Turning Back has it to do up to a trip where he is 0 places from 6 tries and is badly drawn too. Elusive Tiger is rarely far away and is far better drawn than what he has been of late . Fine chance of breaking his duck .
1/2pt win Elusive Tiger @ 7/2
3.40 Plenty of money for the lightly raced ex- Irish Awesome Spirit , who has his first start for Mike Appleby , who does very well with new intakes but at the odds I much prefer a play on recent Yarmouth winner in the mud in Royal Bliss , who’s only 2 pounds higher and is proven on the surface.
1/4pt ew Royal Bliss @ 12/1
4.15 The clear form horse in Nordic Glory has the worst of the draw and also going up a furlong is far from ideal , while Sparked , another with decent recent form , is another who’s better a furlong down . Moorgate has run some good races on turf of late and worth a dabble on this surface.
1/4pt win Moorgate @ 4/1
4.50 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Cheltenham – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
1.35. Course form stands for plenty here , and the progressive Black Poppy won over C&D very well in April and backed that up with another good win in a big field Haydock handicap , and looks capable of defying the 5 pound hit . Afadil ended the season with a good win at Ayr, and has improved since switching to racing prominently , and also ran well here in The Cheltenham Festival .
1/2pt win Black Poppy @ 5/1 1/4pt rev fc Black Poppy – Afadil

7.15 We know where we stand with the vast majority of these exposed sorts and despite Doublethetrouble , 3 consecutive 2nds , and Lord Torenaga , 4 consecutive seconds , banging at the door, it’s worth a try on the lightly raced youngster Ezmerelda, who runs for a good stable and did well in her first try here , running on soundly to be a 4 lengths 4th, and the 2nd horse has landed a competitive race since . The tip very much races as if this longer trip will suit .
1/4pt win Ezmerelda @ 11/2
Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
5.00 Chestnutter has been going well in good handicaps and ran creditably over C&D last time from the worst of the draw . Should be too good for either modest or struggling rivals .
1/2pt win Chestnutter @ 3/1
5.30 The vast majority of these have been struggling for some time , with the exception of the well drawn Exquisite Acclaim , two good 3rds over C&D of late. . This looks there for the taking , but as the tip has a rotten win record , just a dabble .
1/4pt win Exquisite Acclaim @ 3/1
7.00 A good quality and valuable Group 3 sprint which has attracted attention from the Uk and from France . The useful Bouutemont raids from France and must have a very decent chance while the out of form Queen Me and the useful handicapper Pillow Talk represent the Uk . Harry’s Bar , The Highway Rat, Arnhem and Big Gossey crossed swords over C&D recently when a back to form Harry’s Bar prevailed , but The Highway Rat was most unlucky , uncharacteristically missing the kick , and then finding racing room hard to secure , and was only beaten a neck and is 5 pounds better off with the winner . Gets the nod .
1/4pt win The Highway Rat @ 3/1
