Sure to go Well in the 4.30

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Fast Response 2.25 @ 4/1

Mutanaaseq 4.55 @ 4/1

Well Planted 4.30 @ 4/1

Selected Goodwood – probably very soft ground on this undulating , sharp and tricky track

1.50 The short priced fav is the lightly raced Amleto , who runs for a top stable and made short work of the opposition last time out in the Chester mud, a win which puts him on a good mark in his handicap debut and on breeding the longer trip should suit but at the odds I prefer a play on the consistent and useful Struth , who hasn’t been far away in his last two handicaps off his present tough mark. Tactically versatile and handles soft ground very well .

1/4pt  ew Struth @ 9/1

2.25 Fast Response was massively progressive last season and the key factor for her improvement was racing on deep ground and ended the season with a smart win in Listed company in the Donny mud. She comes here on the back of almost achieving the impossible, coming from the back at Chester and she failed by less than a length to reel in the useful Holquin , this being her first try at today’s trip . She’s right up there with the best of these at the ratings and with the ground in  her favour more than anything else , can storm home off the pace .

1/2pot win Fast Response @ 4/1

3.35 The ultra classy Paddington , has won his last 6 , the last 3 all Group 1’s and has a verry lofty rating of 125 . Proven on deep ground and will be many a professional punter’s idea of the bet of the week at 1/2, but happy to watch .

Selected Redcar – probably very soft ground on this flat and galloping track

3.10 Mother Mary was impressive winning last time at this trip in the Salisbury mud . That form is good enough to win this , despite her penalty , and does have the best form on soft .

1/4pt win  Mother Mary @ 11/4

4.55 This looks very much there for the taking and the handicapper could have been far harsher than just the 3 pound hit for the reliable late playing Mutanaaseq , who previously was a good 2nd at Nottingham in the mud at this trip. , form well good enough to land this .

1/2pt win Mujtanaaseq @ 4/1

5.30 Ey up It’s Jazz relishes deep ground and comes here in fine form . She’s a bit high in the ratings and it is a race for amateur riders . Just a dabble .

1/4pt  win Ey Up It’s Jazz @ 11/4

Selected Perth – probably good to soft on this flat and sharp track

2.45 Ultra Violet is a regular here and rarely far away . He ran his best race over C&D when there was some give in the ground , so this could be his big day .

1/4pt win Ultra Violet @ 7/2

3.20 So Be It has done really well since switching from Hunter Chases to handicaps and chased home course specialist Castletown over C&D last time . He has a 5 pound pull and the winner has never been at his best on easy ground . It is an unknown for the tip , but this isn’t competitive .

1/4pt win So Be It @ 5/1

4.30 Garde Des Champs ran them ragged over C&D last time , but does have a hefty 10 pound penalty to overcome and easy ground not ideal. Well Planted is a regular over C&D and has gone close a few times of late and the ground is no issue .

1/2pt  win Well Planted @ 4/1

No Perth placepot picks

Selected Galway – probably good to soft on this undulating and stiff track

5.10 After landing a Limerick maiden on  easy ground , Lan Cinnte has done well in both of her handicaps , and last time , when too much use was made of her , still finished a 2 lengths 5th at Leopardstown . Tactically versatile and a return to this trip on easy ground looks ideal .

1/4pt win  Lan Cinnte @ 9/4

6.10 Very few of these are likely to relish a 2 mile slog around Galway and well worth a try on handicap debutant in the consistent but luckless Mon Coeur , 2nd in all 3 maidens , each time running to a level 5 pounds ahead of his opening mark , and stays this trip well .

1/4pt  ew Mon Couer @ 12/1

8.20 I’m with a similar type in Somethings Abouther who  put in a career best run when winning at this trip at Punchestown , so this C&d should suit well and that run was measured at 121 and can race off just 114. A consistent sort who is ground versatile .

1/2pt  ew Somethings Abouther @ 8/1

Selected Sandown , probably soft ground on this stiff and galloping track

8.02 Bernadine is a progressive filly who handles whatever is chucked at her and a recent good 2nd at Ascot on easy ground augurs well for tonight’s task,.

1/4pt win Bernadine @ 5/2

Selected Leicester – , probably soft ground on this stiff and galloping track

7.37 The well related Crown Dreams ran well on his recent debut at Haydock on easy ground , arguably the best form on offer and this stiffer track should suit .

1/4pt win Crown Dreams @ 4/1

8.42 The lightly raced Selenachorus won pulling a truck on soft ground over C&D last time and the 6 pound hit unlikely to stop her in an uncompetitive finale .

1/2pt win Selenachorus @ 4/5

No placepot picks for Sandown or Leicester
