3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
See My Baby Jive 3.05 @ 5/2
Maze Runner 6.40 @ 8/1
Caius Marcius 4.30 @ 7/1
Selected Newton Abbot – good ground on this flat and sharp track
2.45 This is ultra competitive and hard boiling it down just to one with the best chance . You could have 4 tries and still miss .
3.20 Zabeel Champion returned from a lengthy absence with a fine win, but previous runs were poor and not for me at short odds . A good gallop is on the cards which will suit C&d specialist Clearance , who is still a few pounds too high , but still preferred to the others . Nibras Gold and Sisterandbrother are now on very testing marks .
1/4pt win Clearance @ 13/2
3.55 The lightly raced Enemenemynemo was well backed when making all at Perth beating a couple of useful yardsticks and considering he’s open to improvement , good chance of the double off just a 2 pound higher mark
1/2pt win Enemenemynemo @ 4/1
4.30 The veteran Caius Marcimus has won 4 of his last 6 and this late player remains on a workable mark . There is a stack of early pace in this and he’s 2 from 2 here , so unsurprising that Nicky Richards makes another 700 mile round trip and overall he has a 66% record when travelling a long way to the races. The stable form could be better , but Northern based top jockey Brian Hughes , also makes the trek.
1/2pt ew Caius Marcimus @ 7/1

Selected Ayr – soft ground on this flat and galloping track .
3.05 The 4 timer seeking See My Baby Jive has won her last three over C&D , on soft ground and has been a revelation since sporting blinkers . Not a deep race and you have to stick with this determined mare .
3/4pt win See My Baby Jive @ 5/2
3.40 PREMIUM RACE
4.50 The admirably consistent Fifty Sent handles soft ground well and should be OK with the drop in trip in a race of far more quantity than quality .
1/4pt win Fifty Sent @ 7/2
Selected Galway – very soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
6.40 A highly valuable stayers’ handicap and well worth trying last year’s cracking 2nd in Maze Runner , who was unlucky in running and beaten just a length in the field of 20 on soft ground . He’s a late player and his recent pipeopener on fast ground at The Curragh over a trip far too short , should have him cherry ripe to run another big race . Just 3 pounds higher than last year , which surely keeps him in the picture .
1/2pt ew Maze Runner @ 8/1
Selected Lingfield – good t0 firm on this undulating and sharp track
5.52 The hat-trick seeking Bailar Contigo has a stiff 6 pound penalty and the drop in trip on this sharp track and on quick ground , won’t help. Coloane is consistent but blew an easy opportunity when odds on last time and can only be watched . Storm Valley runs in famous colours for a top stable and comes here on the back of a decent effort when 4th in an Epsom handicap when trying to make all . Drop in trip and the ratings will help .
1/4pt ew Storm Valley @ 8/1
6.57 PREMIUM RACE
8.02 Spanish Mane comes here in fine shape and was a close 3rd at Brighton last time and previously won over C&D on quick ground off a 3 pound lower mark . Appeals at the odds. Proud Fairy won very well over C&D last time on quick ground and has to be respected despite being up in the ratings and grade .
1/4pt ew Spanish Mane @ 10/1
8.32 All of these are struggling to get their noses in front but Bear To Dream has been placed in his last 3 all around this mark , trip , ground and on this kind of track.
1/4pt win Bear To Dream @ 13/2
