Satellite’s chance is out of this world

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Sleeping Satellite 1.35 @ 7/2

Bents Hollow 2.45 @ 4/1

Brave Display 5.30 @ 7/1

Selected Fontwell – good to soft on this sharp and track

1.20 Recent C&D winner Mr Ticketyboo must have claims of the double , despite a stiff 7 pound hit in this modest opener , but fair to say his win came completely out of the blue . A chance is taken with the novice Abingworth, who has showed glimpses of ability in his novice hurdle races and his best run  ever was on good ground in a bumper . Runs for easily the top stable here but in a race for conditionals , the jockey hasn’t had much racing of late .

1/4pt win Abingworth @ 9/1

1.55 The odds on fav is the hat-trick seeking Unit Sixtyfour , a clear all the way winner here last time . Up 7 pounds , but a capable 7 pound claimer takes the reins . Dindin was only 5 lengths behind in that race , and the extra yardage could suit him more than the fav . Looks very solid ew .

1/2pt  ew Dindin @ 8/1

2.30 It looked very much that the prolific Kilbeg King bounced on his 2nd run back after an absence , not a rarity . In a modest novice hurdle , course winner Red Windsor has the form to double up , with the longer trip and slightly easier ground expected to suit . Returns after a 4 months absence , but always has breaks in between his racecourse appearances .

1/4pt win Red Windsor @ 5/2

4.30 As both the recent winners Sawpit Sienna and Force De Frap are now on testing marks ,the latter a massive 12 pounds higher , this could be the consistent Begin The Luck’s day .

1/4pt  ew Begin The Luck @ 7/1

Selected Carlisle – probably soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.35 Sleeping Satellite came into his hurdles debut on the back of a win in a point and a bumper , his only two career races , and was only a 4/1 shot in a decent Haydock Class 3 event . He looked outpaced on that flat track and this stiffer track should suit . Runs for the top stable here .

1/2pt win Sleeping Satellite @ 7/2

2.45 The odds on fav is the consistent Poetic Music , who brings the best form to the race , but easy to have concerns around a demanding C&D on soft ground . Ebonello’s only poor effort came on soft ground so preference is for the former pointer Bents Hollow , good form already and this longer trip will suit .

1/2pt win Bents Hollow @ 4/1

3.15 Maid O’ Malley has made giant strides in the last 12 months and runs this C&D in the mud very well . She’s been taking on  much higher rated opponents in Class 1 events , and ran a cracker over C&D , in the mud , two starts back , and should be too good for beatable opponents .

3/4pt win Maid O’Malley @ 7/4

3.45 Quite a few here with a chance but C&D specialist Applaus , has the ground in his favour and the 5 pound hit for a C&D win last time , still keeps him in  the picture , as long as he’s fine with the 2 months absence .

1/4pt  ew Applaus @ 11/1

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta

5.30 This will take little winning , but is a hands and heels apprentice race , so calculations could go out the window ! The ex – Irish Brave Display won well here quite recently but was hit with a stiff 5 pound fine , but has been  holding his form well enough off his new mark to be a major factor .

1/4pt  ew Brave Display @ 7/1

7.00 Tothenines is rarely far away , but doesn’t win many . He’s dropped to a good mark and has a rare run in  Class 4 , at which he has a good record . Nicely drawn and the 3 pound claiming jockey has a good record on him .

1/4pt win ToTheNines @ 10/3

7.30 Mint Edition has won his last two in fine style at Newcastle , but does have to contend with a stiff 6 pound penalty and an easier track , but the longer trip should compensate . Sprezzatura is rarely far away and comes here on the back of a close and unlucky 4th over C&D . Very nice ew alternative to the fav .

1/4pt ew Sprezzatura @ 15/2

8.30Following Sicario of late has been the quickest way tp the poorhouse , as he is rarely far away , but can’t nail one , despite help from the handicapper . International Law is a reliable sort ,very effective over C&D and has to be considered but the nod goes to another course regular in Jenny Ren , a late player , who wasn’t far away last time she ran over C&D off around this mark .

1/4pt  ew Jenny Ren @ 8/1
