Selected Yarmouth – good to soft , but drying , on this flat and galloping track
1.35 PREMIUM RACE
2.10 Whatever could have gone wrong went wrong for Proverb on debut at Windsor on easy ground, but still managed to be a cracking 2nd . With that experience behind him , looks good to go one better .
3/4pt win Proverb @ 7/4
3.20 There are in the main very inexperienced and have showed little, the possible exception being The Johnston trained Timewave , who ran a decent race on debut and will certainly find the longer trip to his advantage and very probably the softer ground .
1/4pt win Timewave @ 6/1
3.55 PREMIUM RACE
4.30 This is very much there for the taking with plenty coming here in disappointing form . Makarova was one to disappoint last time , but came into that race in top form , and won’t be the first horse to miss a beat at the start at Salisbury , then finding it impossible to get competitive . The fav is the lightly raced Tarhib , who when last seen , 3 months ago , was a good 2nd at Chelmsford City behind the massively progressive Princess Shabnam , 2 pounds higher , but never been a lover of horses which have lengthy breaks between races .
1/2pt win Makarova @ 5/1
5.03 Plenty of in form types in this finale and also plenty of early pace , which will probably not help those near the front : Grandfather Tom , Han Solo Berger , Haveoneyerself , Josies Kid and the clearly thriving The Defiant . The late player Colombe is on a manageable mark and if the ground remained on the easy side , so much the better for his chance .
1/2pt win Colombe @ 7/2
Selected Redcar – good to soft – but drying , on this flat and galloping track
1.43 Simulation Theory pinched a race from the front last time and may well not be able to duplicate that with a stiff 5 pound penalty and others in the field liking to race prominently . One of those is the consistent if luckless Russian Virtue , , who could well benefit from the drop in trip . Royal Prospect was found out by this mark last time while Bold Territories is very much an all weather horse .
1/4pt ew Russian Virtue @ 9/1
2.10 Lady Jane Grey won well on debut and lost little in defeat next time when 3rd carrying a penalty and should have the edge over Thankyouappreciate , who drops in trip .
1/4pt win Lady Jane Grey @ 11/4
2.53 Hello Deira holds his form well and is on a workable mark , after good runs in all 3 races , but not convinced on him getting the extra furlong on breeding . After a last gasp win at Goodwood, coming from out of the clouds, beating the useful yardstick and last time winner X j Rascal , Prairie Falcon lost little in defeat off this mark when dropped back in trip . Back to his best distance, good chance of picking these up late .
1/2pt win Prairie Falcon @ 7/2
3.28 This has a winnable look to it and Forgivable has run some fine races off around this mark of late and gets the nod .
1/4pt win Forgivable @ 4/1
4.03 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Uttoxeter – good ground on this undulating and sharp track with a long galloping straight .
1,50 A case can be made for many in this fiercely competitive stayers’ handicap hurdle , but the admirable Robeam, a win and 5 places in his last 6 , will again run his race, front rank throughout and stays on the same competitive mark .
1/4pt ew Robeam @ 10/1
3.35 Hard picking between Denable, Henri Le Bon and Belle Na Ban .
4.10 After a series if disappointing runs, Judge earle dropped to a very low mark , and fully took advantage at Ffos Las, and has since won 4 more times , and was placed behind well handicapped rivals in the other two . He’s again likely to have his own way up front , around a track of which he is 2 from 3 , but the 10pound hit for landing a modest heat last time, will take some overcoming in a competitive heat . The lightly raced youngster Kinondo Kwetu won on his chase debut ,m which you would expect from this former pointer . The 5 pound hit could have been worse and is preferred .
1/2pt win Kinondo Kwetu @ 5/2
4.45 PREMIUM RACE
5.17 Presenting Pete landed his first two races this season very well but flopped in his hat-trick bid , finishing behind shock winner Translink , but a lot was made of him that day and he bounced back to form with a cracking effort at Sedgefield when running the bang in form Finisk River to a neck when ridden a lot more patiently , and another good run expected with conditions and probably C&D to suit .
1/2pt win Presenting Pete @ 4/1
Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
5.25 A strong pace is on the cards which wont help the back to form but still hard to win with Harbour Vision ,with a bad draw and other front runners serving it up . A late player seems the place to go in this , and the prime candidate is the well drawn in form Point louise , who has been tried over a variety of trips of late but is a C&D winner and this late player is 5 pounds lower tonight .
1/2pt win Point Louise @ 5/1
7.30 The 80 day break is no issue for C&d winner Dayman , who won first time out this season and ran well when last seen off this mark on the Lingfield polytrack , and this isn’t a strict examination .
1/4pt win Dayman @ 5/2
