Asense 5.20 @ 5/1
Selected Yarmouth – very soft ground on this flat and galloping track .
As the vast majority of the runners have never faced ground this soft , this turns the card into somewhat of a lottery . I’m only having the one play , which is for Members only
Selected Musselburgh – good ground on this flat and galloping track – speed track
3.05 Le Beau Garcon has threatened to land one of these all season , but has come up short in all, but has gone close , including a close 3rd at Thirsk off just a pound lower and in higher grade . He’s at his best when stalking a strong pace, which will happen today , and has run this C&D well before . He drops into Class 5 company , at which his record stands at 2 wins and a place in just 3 tries. Won’t get a better chance of stopping the losing run .
1/2pt win Le Beau Garcon @ 4/1
4.10 Fair to expect another good run from the most reliable Glorious Angel , who holds her form very well . She’s well drawn for a prominent racer but will have unwanted company from the short priced fav Mubhijah , a facile winner at Carlisle on easy ground in a modest maiden , but on that performance , is on a very good mark in her first handicap, but on quicker ground on a more benign track , could struggle . If they do off too quick , the capable Rock Melody could profit , but it’s the Angel for me .
1/4pt ew Glorious Angel @ 12/1
5.10 The consistent Mra Baggerman can be relied upon to run her race , and runs this C&D very well. Not an awful draw and good chance of making every post a winning post. She runs well after a break and the fav He’s An Angel is finding it very hard to get his nose in front and despite the best of the draw , is far more effective over an extra furlong and on synthetics.

Selected Windsor – soft ground on this flat and galloping track
2.15 Hackman comes here on the back of a big run at Chester on easy ground , when beaten just a length , from the worst of the draw . He cost a packet as a yearling , is with a good stable and prior to his last run , had been set some stiff tasks . This much easier .
1/2pt win Hackman @ 11/2
3.45 PREMIUM RACE
4.15 PREMIUM RACE
4.50 An open looking sprint but a chance can certainly be given to the lightly raced Exquisitely . He caused a right old shock in a small field handicap on the Goodwood mud and backed that up with a fine effort to be beaten just a nose off a 6 pound higher mark at the same C&D but this time on better ground. This usually prominent racer blew the start last time , so her below par can be excused .
1/4pt ew Exquisitely @ 9/1
5.20 The front running Asense goes for the 4 timer and the 4 pound hit could have been harsher . Her three wins have come over a variety of trips and ground , but won very well at Bath last time on the mud , Disputing the lead and staying on strongly . Slight drop in trip but should be able to obtain her preferred spot front rank , and she’s very tough in the finish .
1/2pt win Asense @ 5/1
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
4.26 Palazzo Persico stepped up going handicapping for the first time with a big run at Chelmsford City , failing by just a nose . Up 2 pounds , and mixed messages about the extra furlong on breeding , but the draw’s OK and Oisin Murphy rides in a winnable looking nursery .
1/4pt win Palazzo Persico @7/2
7.00 Both Brazil Power and Elzaam Blue come here on the back of C&D wins but both have stiff penalties and bad draws. Both of Hieronymous’ wins have come here and returned to form last time with a good 2nd at Ascot , but that came after a lengthy break and is not known for backing up one good run with another . Follow Your Heart is a dual C&D winner , and just a pound above his last winning mark . He’s been improving his fitness since a break and last time showed his turn wasn’t far away finishing a close 3rd over C&D off this mark . Well drawn and a lively longshot .

7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.00 Marie Laveau is most consistent , but still a maiden after 6 tries and while she goes handicapping on a fair looking mark ,she’s short in the odds for me . Typical Woman holds her form well and shouldn’t be far away at nice odds in a modest looking affair .
1/4pt ew Typical Woman @ 10/1
8.30 First Company is rarely far away but just can’t nail one so I’m offering up another who comes here in decent form , proven over C&d and down to a good mark in the well drawn Haulfronhobbs, who herself is an 8 race maiden , but has the form to win this . Late player .
