Selected Ayr – good to soft on this flat and galloping track

12.30 Atlantic Dancer was a surprise winner over C&D last season on similar ground and mark and worth risking fitness in a race which won’t take much winning .

Selected Southwell – all weather – tapeta

5.00 There has been significant support for the in form course specialist Marwari , who holds his form well despite frequent nudges up the ratings , but was has helped is a successful partnership with 7 pound claimer Billy Loughlane , who keeps the ride tonight . He’s down in trip to the minimum , but does have a C&d win  on his CV , but did have to work very hard for that win . Pepper Street has only a 3rd ever race in Class 6, winning his first and ran a solid race at Wolver last time when trying to make all and had plenty of competition for the lead . That again could be the story tonight, but he did hang on in there well last time for most of the race and is a nice ew play .

1/4pt ew Pepper Street @ 11/1

5.30 Despite both carrying stiff enough penalties , this looks to rest between the last time winners in Amourie and Starfighter , both hold up types , but as Sociologist is sure to bomb off, both should have an ideal pull into the race. The tip gets the nod as prior to his win  he had been running OK off higher marks .

1/4pt win Starfighter @ 6/1

6.30 If there’s any justice in the world , a deserved win will drop the ultra gallant Eagle Eyed Freddie, well drawn for a front runner , and not likely to be pestered early on , but his current mark leaves him vulnerable and preference is for youngster Capparis , a close 3rd at this trip at Wolver , when given a lot to do and looks a lovely ew play .

1/2pt  ew  Capparis @ 11/1

7.00 Last season , Six Strings put in a terrific series , only once out of the first 3 in 12 starts ! but did climb to a stiff mark and after some below par runs for his new stable , he’s dropping back down again , and comes here on the back of an encouraging effort here when 5th of 13 , beaten less than 3 lengths He’s down a bit in the ratings and the extra furlong will very much help.

1/2pt win Six Strings @ 8/1

7.30 Zealot comes here on the back of a right old demolition job at Kempton , making all and winning by a long looking 5 lengths . He’s up 5 pounds and previously was beaten a nose over C&d off his previous mark , but he has only been with Mike Appleby for two runs , so could easily justify very cramped odds .Another bang In form runner is the hat-trick seeking Ron O ,a cosy winner over C&D last time , and overcoming the 4 pound not impossible . Masqool is holding his form very well , despite frequent nudges up the ratings. He runs this C&d well and unlikely to be far away.

1/4pt  ew Masqool @ 9/1

8.00 Another big field handicap and another race with a short priced fav in the bang in form Min Till , who ticks plenty of boxes in terms of form , surface , trip and mark . He’ll have stiff opposition from both Falesia Beach and Grey Belle , but as they are both drawn wide , gets the nod .

1/2pt win Min Till @ 7/4

8.30 Funky Town Pinkie goes for the track hat-trick but would do very well to achieve it with a testing 6 pound penalty . Raiff was the subject of a huge gamble last time , which almost paid off . Unfancied and well beaten in  his previous two runs , he was gambled on from very long odds into 11/4 and only failed narrowly in his first ever race in Class 6 . He’s up 2 pounds , which looks fair and goes up half a mile in trip . Odds suggest his stamina is worth risking .

1/2pt win Raiff @ 6/1
