Selected Leicester – hurdles course soft , chase course good to firm . The track is stiff and galloping

12.40 PREMIUM RACE

2.25 Worth a dabble at long odds on Abingworth in this ordinary novice hurdle . He’s with a top stable and shaped up well first time over hurdles at Lingfield in the mud , and the way he finished , this stiffer circuit well in his favour .

1/2pt ew Abingworth @ 50/1

3.00 Few come into this in encouraging form while the form horse , the useful Calico , shaped well first time over fences but the longer trip is the issue. Ashington comes here on the back of two good runs over hurdles and is now back down to his last winning mark . His form over fences is mixed but still ticks most boxes .

1/4pt win Ashington @ 3/1

Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack

2.05 Skip James returns from  2 months break and this C&D winner of a nursery would do very well to double up back in novice company with a penalty . Blue News has the form in the book to go close ,especially as his latest effort was a good run over C&D, but he’s now 0 from 5 and prefer the chance of Empty Metaphor, a few lengths behind Blue News last time but will have derived benefit from the experience and is a nice ew play .

1/4pt  ew Empty Metaphor @ 8/1

3.15 A handful of either recent C&D winners or horses going well , again over C&D , but all penalised , which gives the consistent C&D performer Trueba a good chance of a deserved success. Oh Cleo Looks to be very well handicapped on the strength of her good 2nd over C&D in a maiden for which she was favourite , in just her 2nd ever start , but maiden form doesn’t often convert favourably to handicap company .

1/4pt  ew Trueba @ 11/1

3.45 It wasn’t that long ago that Inflection Point was running big races , including over C&D , off marks around 90, but for some reason , the wheels fell off , and despite plummeting in the ratings , no sign of a revival , until last time out , in his first start for the up and coming stable of John McConnell when a close 3rd over C&d off his present , relatively lowly mark of just 63 . He has the best of the draw and a good 5 pound claimer takes the ride . Expect a prominent ride . Un Bacio Amcora is very well handicapped on the strength of a cracking 2nd in a maiden over C&D , first run for a new stable , and if reproducing that , would be a huge threat .

1/2pt win Inflection Point @ 11/4

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack

4.55 Abbey’s Dream comes here on the back of a good 2nd at Chelmsford City at this trip , the best form on show and well drawn to go one better .

1/2pt win treble  Abbey’s Dream @ 6/4, Perdika evens Tyndrum Gold 10/11- treble pays 15/2

5.30 Perdika has done exceptionally well to land 3 consecutive wins , all in maiden company , last time at Chelmsford City with a double penalty . Should be far easier in this nursery .

6.00 Tyndrum Gold looked good winning over C&D on debut and is preferred to the other debut winner In Stenton Gold, whose win came at Chester , 2 months ago.

6.30 Dionysian was a smart winner over C&D when last seen 2 months ago , and carries a penalty , and could struggle to give a stack of weight away to the filly Anisette , a strong finishing close 4th over C&D on her debut .

1/4pt win Anisette @ 3/1

7.00 Neither the debut winners in Estidana nor Whispering Romance ran to an even average level when landing weak maidens , and in another uncompetitive heat , the best form is brought to the table by Al Agaila , who returns from a 4 months break , but has good polytrack form and also ran well in her first race, so absence unlikely to be an issue .

1/2pt win  Al Agaila @ 5/2

7.30 PREMIUM RACE

8.00 An absolute crackerjack of the Kempton Stayers Final , and hard to rule practically anything out but considering the record of the back to form  Rainbow Dreamer over C&D, 5 from 6 , and was allowed to start at long odds when the return to his beloved Kempton resulted in him recovering from  a series of tame runs . His draw could have been kinder and is closely matched with the placed horses in that race in Island Brave , Withhold and Imperium , all tough and talented stayers , but the tip is still well treated on old form .

1/4pt ew Rainbow Dreamer @ 9/1

8.30 Barenboim has taken off good style since joining the good stable of David O’Meara, 2 good wins and 2 unlucky losses and comes here on the back of a running on 4th at Wolver , first try at this longer trip , and the exaggerated hold up tactics were overdone and came home like the clappers. This means that both his mark and this trip are no issues, but what could be is that he is a late player , as are all of the rest , except for the hard to fancy Further Measure, so this could develop into a sprint . Junkaroo was a long priced winner over C&D last time out when defying the worst of the draw . He’s another late player , but does have a stiff penalty and a rise in grade .

1/4pt win  Barenboim @ 5/2
