Rosenzoo , 5.30 , has the smell of a good priced winner

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Rosenzoo 5.30 @ 7/1

Lil Guff 8.15 @ 10/1

Mostly Sunny 7.45 @ 6/1

Selected Bath – good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

2.50 The short priced fav is Irrelevant after his demolition job at Kempton in  higher grade but is 6 pounds worse off with the consistent Go Your Own Way , who was 2 lengths ahead at this trip at Chepstow . Not a deep nursery .

1/4pt win Go Your Own Way @ 7/2

4.35 City Manager disappointed at short odds last time , looking very much as he found the penalty too much , and has his first run ever on quick turf , Cherry Cola is admirably consistent , including over C&D , and a deserved win could be on .

1/4pt  win Cherry Cola @ 9/4

Selected Carlisle – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

2.40 Not a deep nursery and a chance can be given to Neverstopdreaming , who’s run pretty well in both nurseries. Eased in the ratings and conditions are likely to be in her favour.

1/4pt  ew Neverstopdreaming @ 7/1

3.50 This will take little winning , and despite being raised 3 pounds for a deserved win last time , Hostelry will as usual , run her honest race and should prevail .

1/4pt win Hostelry @ 11/4

Selected Uttoxeter – good to soft on this undulating and sharp track with a long galloping straight .

2.25 The lightly raced Isabella Bee did well when 2nd at Newton Abbot last time , but the 5 pound hit looks harsh . Pittsburg has been in tremendous form over fences and looks on a tough enough mark switching back to hurdles , but he does look improved .

1/4pt  win Pittsburg @ 4/1

4.10 The 5 pound hit is against the consistent Enthused while the consistent Call Me Rocky should again  run  his race , but the Milton Bradley horses are way out of form . Glorious Zoff is a useful handicap hurdler , who remains on a workable mark and preferred to the hat-trick chasing and improving Simply Red .

1/4pt  win Glorious Zoff @ 11/2

5.20 The 10 pound hit lashed out to Horizon D’or for a win in a weak race will take some overcoming while softer ground could hold back the reliable Jack The Farmer . Sunshine Girl holds her form well and mark , ground and trip all in her favour . Eaton Lady returns after a 2 months break , and is another who’ll find the ground soft enough .

1/4pt ew Sunshine Girl .

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack

5.30 Primetime won his last race thanks to the Wolver Stewards , but has a 6 pound penalty and switches to polytrack . The C&D winner American Dream was close up in that Wolver race , so has clear claims tonight but preference is for recent Newcastle close 3rd Rosenzoo , who stays on the same mark and this costly purchase is related to some very useful middle distance horses , so this longer trip well in his favour .

1/2pt win Rosenzoo @ 8/1

6.00 PREMIUM RACE

6.30 The unraced runners don’t appear to be anything special , judged on purchase prices so a clear chance for the consistent Sparklight , proven here and form good enough to land a modest ,maiden .

1/2pt win Sparklight @ 2/1

7.00 High Handed is related to some very useful types , such as the 117 rated Lily Langtree and runs in the colours of a high profile owner , but was allowed to start at 50/1 when running very well to be a close 4th over C&D in her recent debut . I’d rather have a play on the Richard Hannon newcomer , a ploy which came up trumps yesterday for this author with a 22/1 winner. Sighter’s value went from a decent £33,000 as a foal to £80,000 as a yearling , always a good sign , is related to some useful all weather types and well drawn .

1/4pt  ew Sighter @ 25/1

7.30 PREMIUM RACE

8.30 The prolific Silver Nightfall won very well over C&D last time , first time at this trip and the 4 pound hit could be within range as the race she won was plenty competitive . Draw could have been kinder .

1/4pt  win Silver Nightfall @ 6/1

Selected Southwell – all weather – tapeta

Yet another treat with a stack of competitive and valuable handicaps in The Racing League .

5.45 Commander Crouch is ultra consistent and tonight could be the night he finally breaks his duck . He was a good 2nd at this trip last time , off this mark , and plenty of his rivals have stamina doubts . Untried on the surface but still preferred .

1/4pt  win Commander Crouch @ 9/2

6.15 Aphelios was well supported when winning at Kempton last time but could struggle up in the ratings switching to tapeta. Quite a few of these bring good recent form to the table and present marks fine and also proven on the surface . There is a shortlist of 4 : the fav Imperial Dream , who came off the pace to win at this trip at Chepstow , and has no penalty , and stays off this good mark . He’s proven on the surface , but stall 1 is hard to win from here , receiving all the kickback . The late playing Yasser has been holding his form well and showed he acts on the surface with  a close 4th last time , but has the widest of draws, not ideal for a late player . Irish raider Half Nutz , hasn’t won for a while but has been consistently close up , except for last time at Newcastle , when this usual late player was ridden too close to the pace . The selection is the verry consistent G’daay , who hasn’t run a bad race since the visor was fitted , was a close 2nd off around this mark last time and nicely drawn for a prominent racer . Lovely longshot .

1/4pt  ew G’daay @ 16/1

6.45 The combination of the longer trip and rise in the ratings may well make this beyond the reach of recent Newcastle winner Billy Mill while Baltimore Bay is bang in form , but just a tough high in the ratings . The late playing Dionysius comes here on the back of two good efforts, the latest when behind Billy Mill , when he had no luck whatsoever . He’s down in the ratings again and a useful 5 pound claimer has been booked .

1/4pt  win Dionysius @ 4/1

7.15 You can make a case for many of these and I’m happy to row in with the consistent Tyger Bay , who recently returned from a break with a decent effort . Nicely drawn , on a fair mark and handles the surface .

1/4pt  ew Tyger Bay @ 12/1

7.45 There is a stack of in form runners  in this stayers’ handicap but the nod goes to the prominent racing Mostly Sunny , a close 4th last time , off this mark, in a hot York handicap , and in 4 tries on tapeta, comes out with a win and 2 places. I’m a bit worried about the first time cheekpieces , a negative for the stable .

1/4pt  win Mostly Sunny @ 6/1

8.15 If you blink , you’ll miss this , 5 furlongs on the straight track , and any number of contenders but Lil Guff continues to hold her form very well , and up just a pound for a short head defeat last time . There is a stack of early pace in this , and she could be well drawn high and is one of the few in the field who can go with the pace and see it out well .

1/2pt  win  Lil Guff @ 10/1
