3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Jaafel 5.00 @ 5/1
Army Of India 5.45 @ 9/2
Highjacked 6.45 @ 4/1
Selected Southwell – all weather – tapeta
1.50 The short priced fav is winning hurdler Pittsburg , a good 2nd here over a mile and this much longer trip likely to show him in a better light but the consistent International Law is rarely far away, despite now being on a stiff enough mark but Harry Russell’s 3 pound claim certainly helps.
1/4pt ew International Law @ 8/1
2.20 The fav and clear form horse is Villalobos but is creeping up the ratings and unproven at this longer trip and on this surface . Hammy End is very consistent and can be excused a lesser effort last time at Wolver when racing front rank over a longer trip and just emptied out . Previously he was a good 3rd here at a slightly shorter trip , and a pound lower today .
1/2pt ew Hammy End @ 15/2
3.20 The switch to this C&D brought about a much improved effort by at the time the maiden Run Teddy Run, beating a big field by a long looking 3 lengths , and the 5 pound hit looks within range . This isn’t a deep race and his main rival is the track hat-trick seeking Win Win Power , but both wins have only been in classified races and he’s been shoved sharply up the ratings .
1/2pt win Run Teddy Run @ 2/1
Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . The track is stiff and galloping
3.45 Not a deep race as the recent winners in the race , First Snowball and Oscar Doodle are now on stiff marks . Pallas Lord comes here in consistent form , has dropped a few pounds in the ratings and has a rare pop in Class 6 , a grade where he’s won half of his 6 races , and wasn’t beaten far over C&D recently .
1/2pt win Pallas Lord @ 11/2
4.15 Recent shock winner Endofastorm would do well to follow up in this better race and with a penalty . End Zone and Broctune Red are both regulars here and when crossing swords, there is usually little between them , which looks the case today , but as End Zone’s usual cheekpieces are missing , good enough reason to support the tip .
1/4pt win Broctune Red @ 11/2
4.45 It wasn’t the deepest handicap ever when The Angelus Belle was successful over C&D , and the 6 pound hit makes the double plenty tough . The lightly raced Champagny was only beaten a length in that race and is the call with the 6 pound pull . Gilded Moon is an unlikely winner up sharply in the ratings and down in trip .
1/4pt win Champagny @ 7/2
5.45 The admirably consistent Bellagio Man ran a good race at Wolver when dropped to this trip, but cruelly raised 3 pounds which turns my attention to the in form Army Of India , whose last run can be ignored as he came out of the stalls still wearing the blindfold ! Previously had run two big races , one over C&D and can dispute and sees it out well. Bert Kibbler was 2 from 2 last year and obviously hard to train and returns from a year off , on a much higher mark and for a different stable, not good signs . Modular Magic was a very unlucky 2nd over C&D last time , but this is a much better race .
1/2pt win Army Of India @ 9/2
6.45 A great opportunity for the luckless Highjacked to get back on the scoresheet after very good 2nd over C&D in higher grade. Hard fancying any of his rivals .
1/2pt win Highjacked @ 4/1
Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
5.00 After landing a double over C&D, Jaafel did very well to be beaten just over a length off this 11 pound higher mark by Hightimeyouwon , that race being over a shorter trip , and the tip was unlucky not to collect . Despite a wide draw, the tip looks good on that last run ,to gain deserved compensation and land his 3rd win in 4 races .
1/2pt win Jaafel @ 5/1
5.30 Some useful types compete here , despite it being only worth £8000 . San Andreas is the likely winner as he has fitness assured and likely to have his own way up front and is a 4 time course winner .
1/2pt Win San Andreas @ 6/5
6.30 Dream Today is very much a regular here and rarely fails to run his race , and this could drop his way as his chief rivals are either on stiff marks, dropping in trip or up in grade .
1/2pt ew Dream Today @ 7/1
