Today’s Multi – going very well with this feature this month
3 £1 doubles & £2 treble
Out from Under 3.30 @ 6/4
Retirement Beckons 2.15 @ 7/4
Shahbaz 5.10 @ 5/2
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
1.30 PREMIUM RACE
3.30 It’s not a deep race and the luckless Out From Under can gain due reward for some consistent close calls of late . This prominent racer has a polytrack pedigree and with Harry Davies claiming 5 , is going to be hard to beat .
3/4pt win Out From Under @ 6/4

Selected Hamilton – soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
2.15 The ground has come very much right for the ultra consistent Retirement Beckons , who is also a 3 times C&D winner . he’s up 2 pounds for a good win last time , but with the ground being the chief factor and will be well handled by the capable Mark Winn .
1/2pt win Retirement Beckons @ 7/4
3.15 PREMIUM RACE
4.15 The form horses in Lumberjack and Yorkindness both returns from breaks and are unproven on soft ground , and the latter , today’s odds on fav , is 0 from 7 and looking easy to take on, despite this looking weak . Worth a dabble on soft ground bumper horse Scottish Wind , at least we know he’ll handle the ground .
1/4pt win Scottish Wind @ 11/1
4.45 A couple of lightly raced Southern trained horses head the market and of course both Wilkins and Glam De Vega demand maximum respect . Wilkins is trained by top trainer William Haggas , who is 4 from 4 in handicaps here ! and this one showed much improved form at Ponty last time, but was 2/7 to get the job done, so opposition hardly awesome , and significantly previously floundered in the Windsor mud. Glam De Vega runs for another top trainer in Roger Varian , another with a good record here but not in handicaps. He had to work quite hard to get the better of 77 rated Kaatib last time and is another whose form on soft ground is a worry . Crownthorpe finally responded to chunks of help from the handicapper with a win at Carlisle last time beating the amazing course specialist Detective , who has won since . He’s 3 pounds higher and nowadays is very hard to predict , also his form on soft is erratic , but in what looks a winnable race appeals at long odds .
1/4pt ew Crownthorpe @ 20/1
5.20 A tricky finale with a number of these hard to predict but if on a going day could be very dangerous , these include Taxmeifyoucan and Millie The Minx. Ralphy Boy Two is very reliable and comes here on the back of a close 2nd off around this mark here over a slightly shorter trip, staying on well and also handles soft ground , but a win record of just 1 from 26 is off-putting . Haven Lady holds her form well and is 1 from 1 here and handled soft ground well last time , and gets the nod .
1/4pt win Haven Lady @ 5/2

Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack
5.10 The clear form horse is the well drawn Shahbaz , running well in both races , both at this trip and on pedigree , the switch from tapeta to polytrack, no issue .
1/2pt win Shahbaz @ 5/2
6.20 Cooperation is 2 from 2 for his present stable, and looking improved , but does switch from quick turf . The consistent Intervention could need this returning from a 4 months break and while Twilight Secret has no penalty for a back to form win last time, it did come at Wolver and in lower grade . The Nail Gunner hsas certainly improved since racing at this trip and after a comfortable all the way win at Wolver , ran very well over C&d last time, just beaten a length by Miss Bella brand , but is 4 pounds better off and last time had no peace up front , which could be very different tonight .
1/4pt win The Nail Gunner @ 8/1
7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.05 The 5 times C&D winner Engrave finally responded to the huge aid from the handicapper , with a close 2nd over C&D and stays on the same mark, but won’t be ridden by a 7 pound claimer tonight, which leads me to the consistent C&d winner Boasty , who holds his form well despite being on a tough enough mark . He’s not well drawn for a prominent racer , but there’s not much early inside ,and does see it out well .
1/4pt win Boasty @ 5/1

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
7.10 It’s a very weak event and very few are shaping up at all well. Jenny Ren landed a similar race over C&D earlier in the season and has run some decent races over C&D in better company . She is a very late player and with a steady pace likely and under a jockey not firing, just a dabble , despite this being there for the taking .
1/4pt win Jenny Ren @ 6/1
7.45 By a process of elimination, the prolific and reliable Cathayensis, looks capable of defying his new mark against rivals all with something to prove .
1/4pt win Cathayensis @ 9/4
8.55 The ultra reliable Bankawi certainly deserves a win coming into this on the back of two close 2nds , trying every inch both times . He’s up 2 pounds , which is enough for a low grade handicapper , but is proven here and well drawn and may get away with it in a race where there are few dangers . Dawahy had little to beat when successful recently here , and the 6 pound hit looks most excessive and more of a danger is the in form Alwajd, two good runs off around this mark of late
1/4pt win Bankawi @ 9/2
