He can make a Point in the 3.12

Today’s Trixie

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

At Liberty 1.55 @ 11/4

Nefyn Point 3.12 @ 5/2

Inver Park 4.50 @ 7/2

Selected Hereford – good to firm on this flat and sharp track

Another National Hunt card suffering with small fields . Just a few plays .

2.45 All 4 of these have quite recent winning form but Jen’s Boy is the strongest stayer of the quartet and the 4 pound hit looks within range .

1/2pt  win Jen’s Boy @ 13/8

3.55 The admirable Simply Red , 2 wins and 5 seconds in her last 7 starts ! at a variety of trips and tracks , will again run her race but is now on a stiff mark . Moliana has won 7 of her last 8 races , her only setback was when well held at Taunton in a competitive Class 3 event , a big ask , but should really have done better . She’s been  kept busy on the flat in The Channel Islands , winning as usual , and is only 2 pounds higher for her last handicap win .

1/2pt win Moliana @ 7/1

Selected Leicester – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track

1.55 You have to be very wary being with horses and jockeys with “ Losers “ profiles , and that is the case with long standing maiden At Liberty , 0 from 15 , but 5 seconds and 4 thirds and comes here on the back of a couple of close calls , one over C&D when looking for all intents and purposes that his turn had come , but did a bit too much early on and was nailed by a strong finisher , but there was 4 lengths back to the 3rd, and that run came off just a pound lower and Joe Brabham was in the saddle, who is another “ Loser “ , 0 wins in his last 49 rides ! but did little wrong when aboard the tip , and against beatable opposition , this should be both of their’s day .

1/2pt  win At Liberty @ 11/4

2.30 The Godolphin juvenile brings very useful form to the table , but does carry the dreaded penalty and this looks quite a deep maiden . There has been a stack of money for the newcomer Flight Plan , a £150,000 well related juvenile , while a close friend of mine , an excellent judge noted that Al Jabrey , who runs in famous colours ran well on debut , to be of interest today at 33/1 . I’m trying an ew on the consistent Utilis , a good 2nd recently in a nursery off a mark of 82 , at this trip and gave the impression a stiffer track would suit .

1/4pt  ew Utilis @ 7/1

3.05 Camacho Star has been well supported in both handicap runs , and has run well, but both on tapeta , so would prefer to just watch today . Fullforward is very consistent and hasn’t been far away on turf off this mark and at this trip and this could be his day .

1/4pt win Fullforward @ 3/1

4.15 The one to beat at the ratings is clearly To The Bar , who at least 17 pounds In hand over his opponents , but this is his first ever race on turf and was recently sold for just £2000. As Gordonstoun and Solar Prophet aren’t tearing up the track of late , Emerald Lady gets the vote , as she holds her form pretty well, which would be good enough to land this .

1/2pt win Emerald Lady @ 2/1

4.50 A very good quality Class 2 handicap , and most come here with a chance but clearly the one to beat is recent hat-trick scorer Inver Park , and comes here on the back of two big runs in massive fields , when running his race. Looks capable of landing this off just a 3 pound higher mark than his last win and both C&D and ground suitable for this late player .

1/2pt win Inver Park @ 7/2

Selected Huntingdon – good ground on this flat  and galloping track

3.12 Norley has a bit to prove up in trip , over fences for the first time and also remains on a stiff mark . Thundersocksundae remains 8 pounds higher for his win, which came over a much longer trip and his close 2nd over C&D came off an 11 pounds lower mark . This offers a fine opportunity for the back to form Nefyn Point , two good places runs of late at this trip and mark and expect a prominent ride . ,

1/2pt win Nefyn Point @ 5/2

4.57 This looks very much a match but as the consistent Presenting Yeats has a nasty 4 pound penalty for losing his race in The Stewards Room ,most unluckily , the nod goes to another consistent sort is Dellboy Trotter , and the booking of an able 7 pound claiming amateur , tips the scales .

1/4pt win Dellboy Trotter @ 2/1

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta. The track is stiff and galloping .

5.02 Understandable that prolific jumper Floating Rock is a warm order in this opener , coming here on the back of 3 very solid efforts , the last two at this trip and one at Wolver , so proven on the surface and the stiffer track in his favour , but doesn’t have much in hand over Tomorrow’s Angel or Monticello , as they were 4th, 5th and 6th at Ayr recently at around this trip . Happy to swerve .

No Bet

5.32 The fav is the bookies’ mate , Termonator , who’s pretty consistent but just 2 from 34 , and last win almost 2 years ago and comes here on the back of tame effort at Wolver , and should have done much better despite the wide draw. He’s well handicapped and has a good record here , but so easy to look elsewhere . The lightly raced Cease and Desist was a 2 lengths  4th over C&D a few starts back , so seriously has claims off a 3 pound lower mark and his below par run here last time can be excused over a trip too short .

1/4pt  ew Cease and Desist @ 22/1

6.02 Connections will be very keen to get a win from the well related Wonderful Times , who runs consistently to a decent mark of around 80 . She doesn’t look the most straight forward in the finish 3 seconds in 5 races , but still attractively priced considering the task ahead .

1/4pt win Wonderful Times @ 2/1

7.35 Wasdale won over C&D last time thus coming here on a hat-trick, but a stiff 8 pound hit will surely test in this open looking nursery . Chuck Taylor runs in  famous colours for a top stable and was a strong finishing close 3rd in a Nottingham nursery last time . This stiffer track will help but new to the surface , but the stable has had plenty of juvenile winners here , so gets the vote .

1/4pt  ew  Chuck Taylor @ 9/1

8.05 A tricky finale as there are pair  of runners , with good form over C&D , in the not too distant past , and now racing off much lower marks , but both Captain Vallo and Lezardieux have both been hot and miss of late , but the latter did manage a win in very deep ground at Chepstow and after an excusable next effort at Ponty , when badly drawn and never put into the race , ran as well as could be expected here last time to be a running on 4th of 14 .  Has a good record on this surface and shouldn’t be far away .

1/4pt  ew Lezardrieux @ 8/1
