Selected Plumpton – good ground on this gently undulating and sharp track
2.15 Barrowmount has responded very well to the big drop in the ratings , coming here on the back of two big runs on good ground , the latest a most honourable 3rd of 18 at Exeter . In an uncompetitive heat , competition is thin on the ground and the only two also likely to figure in the finish are the luckless Sandalwood , cruelly losing his determine win in the Stewards Room last time , and up 3 pounds , but the top stable hasn’t been firing of late , understandable after a busy and successful season , while Hatchet Jack ran well last time , but wins don’t come easy .
1/2pt ew Barrowmount @ 7/1
2.45 Drying ground is no help to the consistent Not Another Muddle while Small Bad Bob is another who is consistent , but not looking like winning . This looks a match between recent winner Alto Alto , but the 5 pound hit and the longer trip could catch this dual course winner out and preference is for the in form veteran Paddy’s Poem , who always runs well here and lost little in defeat behind a progressive and prolific type last time .
1/2pt win Paddy’s Poem @ 11/2

Selected Killarney – good to soft on this flat and sharp track
2.55 On official rating this looks a match between the useful pair of Anna Bunina and the prolific Party Central , who is today’s short priced fav . He returned from a long absence to land a soft ground Gowran Park maiden on the flat , over a trip well short enough , but looks a prime candidate to bounce and preference is for the tip, crucially a smart C&D winner around this sharp circuit .
1/2pt win Anna Burnina @ 3/1
4.55 The Killarney National and good reasons to be with the consistent youngster Ballykeel after a terrific effort at Punchestown when going for home some way out , never stopped trying ,but was chinned close home . Just 2 pounds higher and this longer trip well in his favour .
1/2pt ew Ballykeel @ 11/2
Selected Ludlow – good to soft on this flat and sharp track

4.35 Happy Index did little wrong in his first handicap which came over C&D on similar ground , beaten less than a length , and is up against unconvincing rivals .
1/2pt ew Happy Index @ 9/1
5.05 The ultra consistent The Bold Thady just can’t nail one , but has gone very close a number of times and there is little wrong with his attitude .Not much to beat .
1/2pt win The Bold Thady @ 2/1
Selected Hamilton – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

5.15 Dutch Decoy progressed really well last season and comes here on the back of two very encouraging efforts in deep Newmarket handicaps. He is 2 from 2 at this track , and back down to his last winning mark , and his task is made a bit easier as 3 pound claimer Oliver Stammer returns to the saddle and has a great record aboard . I’m splitting my stake as Perseverants comes here on the back of two good efforts and looks likely to run his race again .
1/2pt win Dutch Decoy @ 5/1, 1/4pt ew Perseverants @ 11/1. Why not , a small rev fc
5.45 The front running Spoof has been nursed back to his best by the underrated Kevin Frost and comes here on a hat-trick . Up 5 pounds but the C&D should suit , as will the ground and won with authority last time and Billy Loughnane takes off a valuable 3 pounds .
1/2pt win Spoof @ 4/1
6.15 A chance can be given to many , but the well handicapped Ravenscraig Castle ran much better last time , and is preferred .
1/4pt ew Ravenscriag Castle @ 7/1
6.45 Another open race on a card with excellent prize money for this track . The consistent Don’t Look Back went down narrowly over C&D last time on similar ground and this mark , and no reason why he won’t be bang there again .
1/4pt ew Don’t Look Back @ 9/1
