Gumais one to get your teeth into in the 1.50

Today’s multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Gumais 1.50 @ 2/1

Bama Lama 2.25 @ 11/4

Don’t Fight It 4.40 @ 9/4

Selected Chepstow – good to firm on this undulating, galloping and quite stiff track

1.50 It’s a very weak nursery and a clear chance for yesterday’s close 3rd here in Gumais, who stays on the same mark and the extra furlong very much in his favour .

3/4pt win Gumais @ 2/1

2.25 A huge field for this low grade sprint and at the weights , C&d winner Peachey Carnehan is the one to beat , and comes here in good form , but the low draw is a major issue , as it is for Quarter Blue , another in form runner with a chance at the weights. Bama Lama is a regular here and is massively consistent , if luckless. From the best of the draw, this prominent racer can see it out the best .

1/2pt win Bama Lama @ 11/4

3.00 Hard to see the front running Willingly landing the hat-trick with a hefty penalty and away from her preferred soft ground . She’s not the only one who will be cutting an early dash , and this is likely to go to one of the late players . Glamorous Force is finally responding to help from the handicapper with a staying on 3rd over C&D last time and just preferred to the in form Coronation Cottage , who runs this C&D well .

1/4pt ew Glamorous Force @ 13/2

4.00 The front running Autumn Festival has won 5 times this season , well done to him , and comes here on the back of a demolition job over C&D when winning by 9 lengths but that came on soft ground and the 8 pound hit puts him out of his comfort zone . His other two chief rivals are also front runners , and both C&D winners in Connie’s Rose, who ran a brave race over C&D yesterday when 3rd and unable to dominate and Porterinthejungle , who is receiving plenty of help from the handicapper but just not seeing her races out. Connie for me .

1/4pt  win Connie’s Rose @ 3/1

Selected Ripon – good to firm on this undulating and sharp track

1.30 Girl Magic returns from a 3 months absence and her good win came on soft ground making recent winner Sparkling Red the one to beat.

3/4pt win Sparkling Red @ evens

3.10 PREMIUM RACE

3.40 C&D specialist Mark’s Choice ran a screamer in the recent Great St Wilfred’s Handicap over C&D when 3rd and 7 pounds out of the handicap ,underlining how effective he is here . He backed ghat up with a highly creditable effort in the Hamilton  mud, not his ideal track or ground , but is now up in the ratings by a stiff 6 pounds , but has run very well off this mark before over C&D , good enough to land this .

1/4pt  win Mark’s Choice @ 15/8

4.45 An uncompetitive finale and a short priced fav in the reliable Purple Reign , but mark is a bit high and ground a bit quick . Preference is for the admirable infiniti , 3 wins and a good 2nd this season , and despite her  stiff enough mark , this late player could upset the hotpot.

1/4pt win  Infiniti @ 9/2

Selected Epsom – good to firm on this undulating , sharp and tricky track

2.50 Looks a match but the form of Genesius is much stronger than City Spirit as he was aclose 2nd to Captain Kane, who scooted in next time under a big penalty .

1/2pt win Genesius @ 7/4

4.20 There is a stack of early pace in this which creates an  ideal race make up for the late playing dual C&d winner Otago, who’s now dropped to a most workable mark .

1/4pt win Otago @ 7/2

Selected Newton Abbot – good to firm on this flat and sharp track

4.20 Herecomeshogan was still in  with a definite chance when taking a late fall, doing well being front rank throughout , and this is a lesser assignment .

1/4pt win Herecomeshogan @ 4/1

5.40 A good pace is assured with the poorly handicapped Eltham Valley sure to go on , and the other 4 have clear chances , but the Jamie Snowden stable is struggling so recent course winner Bucko’s Boy is the first for the red  pen , and is also up 8 pounds . The absence if headgear and a further nudge up the ratings creates question marks around the admirably consistent Fire Lake , and as dual C&D winner Manor Park has a good weight pull for a C&D 2nd behind Fire Lake , gets the nod over the admirably consistent but creeping up the ratings Lady Reset .

1/4pt  win Manor Park @ 8/1

6.40 A chance can be given to many but the nod goes to recent C&D close 3rd Get The Appeal, who has a nice weight pull with the winner that day , the admirably tough front running Our Three Sons .

1/4pt ew Get The Appeal @ 6/1

7.40 Despite coming into his last race in poor form , there was money for Colonel Lesley at Stratford , and despite only scrambling home in a photo, there was a long way back to some reliable yardsticks. Most of these are hold up types so this prominent racer could have an easy time of things up front .

1/4pt  win Colonel Lesley @ 11/4

Selected Carlisle – good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

4.40 The consistent Don’t Fight It has a very healthy 6 pounds pull with Dixiedoodledragon at Musselburgh and the switch to a stiff track is no issue .

1/2pt  win Don’t Fight It @ 9/4

5.15 PREMIUM RACE

5.50 Not a great deal of  early pace around which makes C&D winner Gullane One of interest , especially on a winning mark , but has run poorly the last twice so preference is for the consistent C&D winner Hurt You Never .

1/4pt win Hurt You Never @ 11/1

6.50 Chinese Spirit is bang in form and comes here on the back of an excellent 2nd here in a competitive event , but does drop in trip and has an awkward draw. Royal Prospect is another with s good record here and this late player doesn’t look handicapped out of things .

1/4pt win Royal Prospect @ 6/1

7.50 Oh So Chic is a 14 race maiden but is rarely far away and this winnable finale could drop her way .
