Mosala to score in the 4.30

Today’s multi

50p ew trixie & 50p ew treble

River Pride 1.45 @ 6/1

Tilsitt 3.38 @ 8/1

Mosala 4.30 @ 10/1

Selected Goodwood – good to soft on this undulating , sharp and galloping track

1.10 Ivory Madonna didn’t come cheap, the sire is an influence for soft ground and Jim Crowley rides.

¼ pt win Ivory Madonna @ 9/2

1.45 River Pride ran a stormer last time out when held up down in trip and stayed on very strongly to be 2nd . Up 2 pounds but the return to this trip well in his favour and has run well on soft before .

½ pt  win River Pride @ 6/1

2.15 Stormy Atlantic won this last year and with the ground in his favour can double up and comes out one of the most favoured at the ratings . He runs well fresh and despite now being a 9yo is still worth his lofty rating of 108

¼ pt  win Stormy Atlantic @ 11/2

2.50 The useful Oman went down narrowly to Spirit Level, who has since hosed up under a penalty . He’s proven here and on the ground and expect another good run , probably front rank throughout .

¼ pt win Oman @ 10/3

3.25 At the ratings , Lone eagle is home and hosed , but returns after a 10 months break and when last seen , put in a very poor effort . Calling The wind is a very tough and useful type , who stays much further and will run his usual genuine race and exploit any chinks in the fav’s armour .

¼ pt  win Calling The Wind @ 5/1

4.35 The very reliable Sir Henry Cotton holds his form very well  and only failed narrowly over C&D last time . Up 2 pounds , but this well drawn front runner will take some reeling in and is fine on soft.

¼ pt  win Sir Henry Cotton @ 4/1

Selected Haydock – probably good ground on this flat and galloping track

2.00 Goobinator won really well over C&D off just a 2 pound lower mark and backed that up with a terrific effort in The Ceserawitch coming 4th  of 30  from a shocking draw. The faster they go the better for this late player .

¼ pt win Goobinator @ 6/1

3.10 A very good quality Group 2 Sprint with plenty of early pace on but I’m with one of those to make in as Flaming Rib looks an even better horse since joining Hugo Palmer . Go Bears Go is a tough and talented sprinter but best form on stiff tracks .

¼ pt win Flaming Rib @ 5/1

4.20 Variety Island has run well in both runs this season at this trip and mark and looks a nice longshot in a winnable heat .

¼ pt  ew  Variety Island @ 14/1

Selected The Curragh – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and stiff track

2.45 A good quality Group 2 sprint and the two British trained in Brad The Brief and Glen Shiel cannot at all be left out of calculations. A Case for You has developed into one of the top sprinters around and his latest win was A Group 1 success at Meydan , lifting a prize of £ ¾ million !! He has obvious claims but may not be fully tuned up for this and the consistent and useful Mooniesta , was only narrowly beaten by the useful Power Under Me over C&D last time, and looked a bit unlucky .

¼ pt   ew Mooniesta @ 6/1

3.55 Wordsworth comes out as the one to beat at the ratings but this trip is a minimum for him and a win rate of just 2 from 10 not great for a 109 rated . Jason The militant is 2 from 2 on the flat and is a top notch and tough hurdler  who comes here on the back of another big run over timber , and could just want this a bit more .

¼ pt  win Jason The militant @ 5/1

4.30 Mosala just doesn’t know how to run a bad race and his only unplaced effort last season was when 6th of 23 over C&D off this mark and beaten just a length ,coming home with the tank far from empty . Cracking ew play .

1/ 2pt   ew  Mosala @ 10/1

Selected York – good ground on this flat and galloping track

1.40 Oo de Lally ran very well on his comeback spin at Haydock on ground just too quick and with Harry Davies claiming 7 and on slightly slower ground , should go close from a good draw .

¼ pt  win Oo De Lally @ 11/4

2.55 Plenty of pace around but I’m with one of those to remain front rank and see it out well in the very consistent Night On earth , holding his form very well on turf and synthetics at this trip and Harry Davies aboard is no bad thing.

¼ pt  ew  Night On earth @ 7/1

3.30 This is a most winnable Group 3 as both Silence Please and Belive In love should have done far better on their comeback spins . Irish raider Mighty Blue preferred .

¼ pt win Mighty Blue @ 4/1

4.07 Just Janet did well on her debut giving every sign this longer trip would be in her favour and preferred over another giving out the right signals for 6 furlongs in Northcliff .

¼ pt  win Just Janet @ 5/1

5.15 This is far more about quantity than quality and this longer trip should hold no terrors  for the consistent Recall The show, who holds his form very well .

¼ pt  ew  Recall The Show @ 12/1

Selected Musselburgh – good ground on this flat and galloping , speed track

1.53 Waverley Star has a substantial pull in the weights for his narrow defeat ovr C&D by Eruption and should put the record straight .

¼ pt  win Waverley Star @ 10/3

3.03 Only 4 go and all of these 2yos are winning but as Jungle Time came off the pace last time to run a good race in a big field Listed race, is not just a speedball .

¼ pt win Jungle time @ 15/8

3.38 Tilsitt is holding his form very well and ticks plenty of important boxes in this winnable heat .

½ pt  ew Tilsitt @ 8/

Selected Lingfield – first 2 races polytrack, others – good ground on this undulating and sharp turf track

7.15 It’s not a deep race and we can expect Gherkin to run his usual honest race . He’s a bit high in the ratings now but this extra furlong unlikely to hold any terrors and can land a modest heat at good odds .

½ pt win Gherkin @ 7/1

7.45 Byefornow landed a small field Bath maiden on debut , and the form looks OK but carries the dreaded penalty. Grace Angel was beaten 7 lengths at Newmarket on debut , bjt not far behind the placed runners  and the 3rd went very close at Sandown . Preference is for recent Ripon 2nd Favourite Queen , and will be suited to this tricky track .

¼ pt  win  Favourite Queen @ 5/2

Selected Stratford – good ground on this flat and sharp track

7.00 A very open contest and a case can be made for all but at the odds , Jamacho is certainly worth a play . He’s a 3 times course winner , has the ground in his favour and is still learning at the chasing game and has won here over hurdles off a 6 pound higher mark .

1/4 pt  win Jamacho @ 10/1

8.00 Dhowin gained due reward for his consistent efforts with an easy win at Fontwell , staying on very well so this extended distance around a sharp track should suit very well, but preference is for Ask A Honey Bee , who was still in contention when taking a late fall in the Scottish Grand National .

¼ pt win  Ask A Honey Bee @ 7/2

8.30 The fav is Greystoke , who’s an Ok flat horse but is running to a level of just around 90 over hurdles so off an opening handicap mark of 104, easy to look elsewhere . Noahthirtytwored was successful in his first handicap and backed that up with a running on close 3rd at Newton Abbot , form which entitles him to land the Lucky Last .

½ pt win Noahthirtytwored @ 4/1
