General Medrano 3.30 @ 9/4
Selected Fontwell – good ground on this sharp track
1.30 Grandad’s Cottage certainly has the look of a bouncer , 2nd race back after a lengthy absence while this trip doesn’t bring the best out of dual course winner Quinta Do Mar . Fable is either very good or the opposite and comes here on the back of a fine win at Bangor at around this trio, beating a useful Irish mare. Could well be up to the 4 pound hit .
1/2pt win Fable @ 5/2
2.00 Not an especially deep race and despite now being on a stiff enough mark and racing on ground plenty quick enough , Bolsover Bill wasn’t disgraced last time in similar circumstances and gets the nod .
1/4pt win Bolsover Bill @ 4/1
2.30 The race of the day , the valuable Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle , and a case can be made for all five but at the ratings and on his preferred sound surface , the useful veteran Sceau Royal gets the nod .
1/4pt win Sceau Royal @ 4/1
3.30 Kansas Du Berlais has yet to replicate his useful French form , which came on very deep ground . General Medrano was an easy winner over C&D last time on good ground , his first run since a wind op and can carry his penalty to victory .
1/2pt win General Medrano @ 9/4

Selected Hereford – good ground on this flat and sharp track .
Very small fields ad the short priced favs in those races likely to oblige . Just the one play .
2.50 Le ligerian caused a bit of a shock in his first race for the Tizzard stable, winning well at Plumpton on good ground . Longer trip and a manageable looking penalty both in his favour . The hat-trick seeking Jobsgreen Lad could well struggle on the quick ground and his current mark. Blacko the clear danger .
1/4pt win Le Ligerian @ 5/2

Been through the Naas card with my usual great care , but can’t find anything worth having a play on.
