3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Cold Case 2.00 @ 7/2
Impressor 5.28 @ 9/1
Peachey Carnehan 4.10 @ 9/2
Selected Epsom – soft ground on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
With the ground going soft and this being a specialist track, just a few plays .
1.40 Arctician has run a number of solid races of late and despite that the handicapper is giving him a chance too . He handles soft ground , and a nice ew play .
1/4pt ew Arctician @ 11/1
2.15 After yesterday’s Legends race , where I managed to find the winner for My Premium Tip members in Absolute Dream at 14/1 adv, another novelty race , The Jumps Jockeys Derby , but this is much less competitive than yesterday’s contest . The fav is the Irish raider in Derry Lad , proven In the mud and brings very solid credentials to the table . Trained by Kevin Coleman , who does well in his jaunts crossing The Irish Sea, and ridden by top jumps jockey in Adrian Coleman , so obviously a family connection there , but despite coming all this way , the horse is far better going right handed , so at cramped odds worth opposing with the very much in form Thibault , rated 125 over hurdles, which is around 87 on the flat, so no wonder he sluiced in at Chepstow off a mark of just 64 and ran a cracker over C&D last time off this mark to be a close 2nd in The Amateur Jockeys Derby , and softer ground no issue .
1/2pt win Thibault @ 10/3
No Epsom placepot
Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and quite stiff track
4.10 Peachey Carneham ran a cracker over C&D last time, front rank throughout , just to be chinned by the lightly raced On Edge close home . The tip reopposes on just a pound better terms, but today’s softer ground likely to see an even better run .
1/2pt win Peachey Carnehan @ 9/2
4.45 After landing a soft ground double, Willingly predictably struggled next time over C&D , but with the griund in her favour , could just about make all .
1/4pt win Willingly @ 10/3
5.15 Shesadabber is a most reliable mare , who just gets out and tries to make all. She’s a little high in the ratings but runs this C&D well and softer ground no issue . Won’t fail for effort .
1/4pt win Shesadabber @ 3/1
Selected Donny – good ground on this flat and galloping track
Sorry for a late publishing , laptop froze than my write ups vanished !
1.25 PREMIUM RACE
2.00 1/2pt win Cold Case @ 7/2
3.10 1/2pt ew Urban Artist @ 8/1
3.45 PREMIUM RACE
5.28 1/2PT EW Impressor @ 9/1
Nothing I’d like to recommend risking hard-earned upon at Chelmsford City tonight , very tricky stuff while of course Laytown is always a no no .
Selected Southwell – all weather – tapeta
5.45 PREMIUM RACE
6.15 PREMIUM RACE
6.45 Galiac is a terrific racehorse , 2 wins and never out of the first 4 , in plenty of competitive big fields, in 7 runs this season and comes here on the back of another tremendous effort at this trip at Newcastle , when just giving best to another highly reliable sort in Menai Bridge . He had both Bringitonboris and Double Dealing about a length and a half behind in that race and with a 2 pound penalty, in theory , should be much closer today , but the tip’s consistency and great attitude makes him the bet . This is far from a 3 horse race and plenty have a good shout at their best , none more so than City Runner , a tapeta specialist , who was a cracking 3rd of 14at York last time off this mark .
1/2pt win Galiac @ 5/1
7.15 I’d rather just watch the consistent street Kid tonight on his 2nd run back after a lengthy break, despite bringing strong credentials to the table. The recent winners Buckshaw Village and Desert Land would do very well to double up with their penalties in this far deeper contest . Eagleway keeps some hot company but is smack on the same mark when successful over C&D much earlier in the year . Nice longshot .
1/2pt ew Eagleway @ 12/1
8.15 The switch to both nurseries and to the Mike Appleby stable saw a much improved effort from Michaela’s Boy , giving the useful Safari dream a fright at Windsor . Generously stays on the same mark and another good run very likely .
1/4pt win Michaela’s Boy @ 7/2
8.45 Dropping in the ratings and into a Class 3 for the first time , saw Equality beaten a short head by a well handicapped one returning to form last time at Windsor . Stays on the same mark and the low draw and the booking of top track jockey Daniel Muscutt , both positives .
1/2pt win Equality @ 7/4
