Emily has the Dash to land the 3.55 at long odds

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Emily Dashwood 3.55 @ 10/1

Caius Marcius 4.17 @ 5/1

Hardy Angel 3.15 @ 8/1

Selected Chester – probably good ground on this flat and sharp track . Both a low draw and as handy position are usually the way to go here .

1.35 No shortage of early pace here , which won’t help those battling for the lead up front , but none of the late players come here in good shape. The short priced fav is the hat-trick seeking Lord Bertie , who lo on a very fair mark in his first handicap . This prominent racer has the best of the draw and should oblige short priced fav backers , but evens not for me .

2.10 Politico could  struggle with the extra furlong and carries a penalty .Foreign Exchange ran well tro be 3rd at this trip at Thirsk last time and appeals most .

1/4ptn  win Foreign Exchange @ 7/1

2.45 Plenty of in form types here but their penalties and drying ground are both against Profitable Edge and Sugar Hill Babe . Another Baar has disappointed a few times of late , but this is easier and this prominent racer is well drawn .

1/4pt win  Another Baar @ 5/1

3.20 A valuable Class 1 for stayers and the short priced fav is the Derby flop Military Order , but Godolphin keep the faith , and is being aimed at The St Leger , so they must believe this trip is in his range , I’m not so sure . The drying ground isn’t ideal for the useful Lone Eagle , but may try and make up and could take some catching .

1/4pt win Lone Eagle @ 10/3

3.55 Jabaara is the one to beat at the ratings , but even in a small field , the widest draw won’t help , and this sharp C&D doesn’t look to be in her advantage . Elionor Dashwood runs in famous colours and didn’t come cheap and landed her maiden making all at Haydock before struggling from a bad draw at Ascot . She has the best of the draw and as the other three runners have it to prove for various reasons , could be another in the very thick book entitled “ All the way winners at Chester drawn 1 .

1/2pt win  Emily Dashwood @ 10/1

4.30 Another handicap with a stack of early pace which will help the well drawn track specialist Roman Dragon but as he’s been off the track for 7 weeks, a long absence for him , preference is for the well handicapped , well drawn and back to form late playing Call Me Ginger .

1/4pt  win Call Me Ginger @ 8/1

5.05 The drying ground is an issue for both the in form pair of Zimmerman and It’s Good To Laugh , so the nod goes to youngster Brave Knight , who had plenty of use made of him last time off around this mark , and a more patient ride , may just work .

1/4pt  win Brave Knight @ 7/2

Selected Sandown – probably good ground on this stiff and galloping track

1.50 PREMIUM RACE

2.25 The vast majority of these useful fillies are closely matched at the ratings . Roman Mist is rarely far away , well drawn and this C&D should suit well.

1/2pt  ew Roman Mist @ 16/1

3.00 Dual Identity was a most unlucky 2nd in this last year and can go one better now back on the same mark . Late player .

1/4pt  win Dual Identiity @ 4/1

4.10 Classical Song’s good 2nd on debut came in the Goodwood mud , and the close up 3rd was turned over at Epsom recently when a warm order . Beautiful Love did well on debut when 3rd at Newmarket on good ground , and gets the nod .

1/4pt  win   Beautiful Love @ 11/4

4.45 An uncompetitive nursery and Spanish Blaze comes here on the back of two big runs in maidens , putting her on a good looking opening mark .

1/2pt win Spanish Blaze @ 7/2

Selected Beverley – good ground on this stiff and galloping track

2.05 Fulfilled comes here in fine form but the same can’t be said about jockey Hayley Turner, 71 days without a winner and 16 years with no winner here ! After a smart win at Donny , Aimeric ran a solid race at Royal Ascot  , but was beaten so far last time, something had to have gone wrong , Returns from a nice break and this isn’t deep .

2.40 PREMIUM RACE

3.15 The drop to the minimum was that Hardy Angel required to get off the mark , coming off the pace to win well over C&D and as he’s unexposed at the trip and up just 2 pounds , worth being with this well drawn runner .

1/2pt  ew  Hardy Angel @ 8/1

5.00 The prominent racing Poet’s Dawn is a 4 time C&D winner , has been oing well of late and this isn’t a deep examination .

1/2pt  win Poet’s Dawn @ 4/1

Selected Newton Abbot – good ground on this flat and sharp track

4.17 It’s a 700 mile round trip from Nicky Richards’ Cumbrian stables to the country’s most Southerly track . He’s made this trip 3 times before and every time returned hom with a win , and each time by the reliable veteran Caius Marcius , who has a 6 pound penalty for a hard fought win over C&D last time , but still hard to get away from  .

1/2pt win Caius Marcius @ 5/1

4.52 The front running El Boracho , ran them into the ground at Bangor last time , and despite the 6 pound hit , this prolific sort will take some catching .

1/2pt  win El Boracho @ 2/1

5.27 The reliable Getawayv Tom will again run his race and remains on a workable looking mark .

1/4pt  win Getaway Tom @ 3/1

Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack

6.15 The clear form horse in this weak looking nursery is the well drawn Monks Mead , who showed that his 150/1 !! victory in a Lingfield turf nursery was no fluke as he backed that up with a close 2nd at Windsor . Up another 3 pounds , but in the context of this race , no real issue and has all weather winners in the family .

1/2pt  win Monks Mead @ 3/1

6.45 Grey Gray comes here on the back of 3 wins from 4 races , including a C&D win last time out . He’s 5 pounds higher but does bring the best 5 furlong polytrack form to the contest .

1/2pt  win Grey Gray @ 4/1

7.15 Song Of Success is rarely far away and down slightly in class , can run these down late on .

1/4pt win Song Of Success @ 7/2

7.45 The lightly raced Club Manager came off the pace to win cleverly at Kempton . He runs in famous colours and for a top stable , and looks the one to beat here .

1/4pt  win Club Manager @ 6/4

8.15 Last Hoorah looked home and hosed over C&D last time , but was chinned by C&D specialist Finery , but on revised terms and as he’s likely to have an untroubled time of things up front , looks a good bet for The Lucky Last .

1/2pt win Last Hurrah @ 5/1

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta

6.00 After starting this season with a win at Lingfield, Weloof has held his form well off this slightly higher mark , and can land a winnable heat .

1/4pt  win Weloof @ 5/1

6.30 Looks very much a match but I prefer the Godolphin runner , whose value rocketed from £150,000 t0 £800,000 from yearling to 2yo . Debut run was OK , and is certainly one to watch for , given his pedigree .The short priced fav is New Chelsea , a good run on debut , but form only compares with that of the tip.

1/4pt win Age Of Time @ 9/4

7.00 Beenham has been holding his own in some contests , but first time visor is a concern for this stable. As Rogue Rosie needs a bit further , the able Ziggy’s Dream gets the call .

1/4pt  win Ziggy’s Dream @ 10/1

7.30 The three form horses in : Alpine Girl, Tallulah Myla and All In The hips are all hold up runners , but as there are a couple of out of form front runners racing , this should be a straight fight between the trio, with the determined tip getting the nod .

1/4pt  win All In The Hips @ 13/2

8.00 A weak looking nursery but both On Borrowed Time and Kaaress certainly have the stamina for this long enough distance for juveniles . Both are late players , but as she’s won twice , the tip gets the call .

1/4pt  win On Borrowed Time @ 4/1

8.30 Lexington Knight is admirably tough and consistent and is still holding his form despite another nudge up the ratings . He’ll give another good run for our money , in a winnable looking race.

1/4pt  win Lexington Knight @ 9/2

9.00 All of : Bold Territories , My Opinion , White Umbrella and Cheese The one bring solid C&D form to the table , but the late playing Tea Garden also has conditions to suit and gets the nod at the weights .

1/4pt  win Tea Garden @6/1
