Sebastopol holds his form very well and has clear claims but the nod goes to the strong staying Leapaway , just 3 pounds higher for a smart Warwick win last time and is a dual trac winner . The useful Hunter Across The line cannot be ruled out going handicapping on a fair mark but it could be happening all too quickly for Kauto The king , better served by a longer trip .

5.28 Neither Cremant nor Mulberry Hill have been seeing their races out well and this offers a good opportunity for the ex-pointer Kerosine Light , who is 2 from 2 over hurdles , is on a very fair mark and has been doing well winning over the minimum trip , considering he’s an out and out stayer and this longer trip very much in his benefit , and he’s won both of his races on speed tracks.

7.48 El Borracho had a busy and very successful time of it last season , putting together a series of 3 wins , 3 seconds and 2 thirds in 8 runs ! He was entitled to need his first start back and usual service was resumed with an easy all the way win at Uttoxeter . He’s 7 pounds higher , but very likely to get his own way up front and the opposition all have a bit to do. Recent winner Hurricane Ali has a very stiff 7 pound penalty and looking at his profile , that puts him on too high a mark . Koi Doiville will be finding things happening too quickly around this C&D off this mark while Scots Poet is on a stiff opening mark and Krypton Gold is a very stiff 9 pounds higher for an off the pace win at Ascot , so unlikely to figure around this speed track . The tip has won off higher marks than this and by the way Peter , another incentive to back my tip. El Borracho is Spanish for The Drunk !!

8.23 The front running Sir Tivo has plenty in his favour , he’s likely to have the lea to himself , bounces off quick ground and at his best on speed tracks. He holds his form remarkably well and lost little in defeat when a close 3rd at Warwick last time off a higher mark and grade in a race where there was plenty of competition for the lead. Armattiekan needs further as does Fearless and the ex-French Texard has chunks to prove on quick ground .
