Today’s Catterick multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Turner Girl 1.30 @ 7/2

Tanzanite 2.00 @ 2/1

Wades Magic 3.00 @ 10/3

Selected Catterick – good to firm on this undulating and sharp track

1.00An uncompetitive juvenile maiden and the clear form horse is the consistent Delirious Dream, 2nd in his last two runs, but both over an extra furlong and didn’t look to be crying out for a try at the minimum . Premier Option stepped up on a modest debut with a close front running 2nd at Ripon , so should be fine with the Catterick undulations and well drawn for the mini- upset .

1/2pt win Premier Option @ 11/4

1.30 Many of these are severely struggling to get their noses in front and even the in form Valley of Flowers, running with plenty of zest of late , could struggle with the longer trip, especially from the worst of the draw. The lightly raced Turner Girl , makes the 400 mile round trip for the Ed Dunlop yard , whose tried here 10 times before , with no luck , which is a bit of a worry , but that aside , has strong claims . She did well coming strongly off the pace to be 2nd at Newmarket , and last time ran as well as expected in a small field , raced at a dawdle . She’s down a lovely 2 pounds from that good run at Newmarket , so handles undulations , and the longer trip a bonus.

1/2pt  win Turner Girl @ 7/2

2.00 Tanzanite comes here on the back of a cracking effort here from a bad draw , keeping on very well , looking very much that the extra furlong will suit . Well drawn to take up an ideal handy pitch and doesn’t have much to beat .

3/4pt  win Tanzanite @2/1

3.00 The admirable Rain Cap comes here with 3 wins in his last 4 , 2 of them over C&D ,  but does have a stiff 5 pound penalty to overcome and this late player is badly drawn , but in fairness , won from a similar berth last time. The prominent racing Wade’s Magic was narrowly beaten over C&D 2 starts back on quick ground , then had to give best to Rain Cap , again over C&D on soft ground , but 7 pounds better off for the length defeat . Well drawn to attack early and this should be his day .

1/2pt  win Wade’s Magic @ 10/3

4.00 It’s very hard seeing the in form Monaadhil making an impact from a shocking draw and a good chance can be given to the in form Stoney Lane, who backed up a gutsy win at Beverley with a good 2nd in a handicap over C&D from a bad draw. Again the draw could have been kinder but he brings more solid looking form to the table than the two dangers in One Last Hug , who has a rare run on a sharp track , and the jockey struggling for a winner , and the luckless Regal World, who has the best of the draw, but often ridden patiently , and needs the gaps to appear .

1/2pt  win Stoney Lane @ 5/2  1/4pt  rev fc Stoney Lane – Regal World

Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack

1.10 The admirably consistent sir joseph Swan comes here on the back of another fine run, this time at Kempton , off this mark and was just outstayed In the latter stages , and the trip is the concern today , despite being partnered by the excellent Simon Walker in this race for amateur jockeys. Iconic Mover stepped up ion previous with a good 2nd at this trip also at Kempton, in a race run in  a quicker time than Sir Joseph Swan ! . Expect another prominent ride and could surprise .

1/4pt   ew  Iconic Mover @ 8/1

Selected Musselburgh – good to firm on this flat and galloping track – speed track

2.20 It’s a weak nursery and Don’t Fight It is 4 pounds higher than his win at this trip at Catterick, and ran as well as could be expected over C&D last time in a much deeper heat . Likely to try and make all and could have just too much toe for the other form horse in How Exciting , a modest 2nd at Beverley last time , so could find this speed track against herself , and a line through the consistent Gemcutter , gives her a bit to find with the tip .

1/4pt  win Don’t Fight It @ 2/1

2.50 The ex-Irish Acongagua Mountain is 1 from 1 at this the minimum trip, that was on his first start for Iain Jardine , running to a level which makes his mark of 49 looking well manageable, but this is a deeper race and has been unlucky in the draw. Canaria Prince won very well ovr C&D last time and from a good draw could be up to defying the 4 pound hit, but the jockey booking could have been more positive . The late playing Tanasoq is getting no younger and this once useful sprinter is a C&d winner and with a strong pace assured , could take advantage of a good mark in a first ever run in a 0 -55 and Paul Mulrennan knows how to win aboard him .

1/4pt   ew  Tanasoq @ 6/1

3.20 The two of most interest here are C&D winner Gift Of Raaj, who is holding his form well despite nudges up the ratings, but the booking of a capable 5 pound claimer helps . The other is the consistent Haizoom , who’s run many a good race off around this mark and also here , and shapes like the longer trip would suit. You can draw a line through his last run when the jockey went off far too quickly .

Split stakes –

1/4pt win Each Haizoom @ 9/2  Gift Of Raaj @ 5/1  1/4pt  rev fc

3.50 The consistent Clotherholme runs this track well but still a little high in the ratings . The front running How Bizarre is very well drawn and is a triple course winner , but last win was over 2 years ago . Desert Dream is another in form runner , close up the last 3 times , all at this trip and mark . He’s another on a long losing run but looks pretty safe ew  .

1/4pt   ew  Desert Dream @ 11/2

4.25 I’d very much rather just watch the in form and lightly raced City Vaults dropping down massively in trip but the consistent Carachristi brings very solid credentials to the table , The consistent Doomsday is a pound or two too high m but has run well over C&D before and looks way overpriced for his reasonable chance.

1/4pt  ew Doomsday @ 14/1

No Musselburgh placepot

Selected Sedgefield – good ground on this undulating and sharp track

5.50 The front running Finisk River has responded very well to the drop in  the ratings with 2 seconds and a win in his last 3 , and off just a pound higher mark is certainly the one to beat . Chief danger is certainly the well handicapped Imperial Elysian , who was still going well until taking a late fall , but as the was is first race for almost 2 years, looks a prime candidate to bounce .

1/2pt win Finisk River @ 13/8

6.20 The late playing Cawthorne comes here on a 4 timer , but when last seen over fences , was all out to prevail off a 5 pound lower mark than tonight . The front running Tonto’s Spirit has responded pretty well to the ease in the ratings and tis dual C&D winner could be very hard to catch .

1/2pt  win Tonto’s Spirit @ 2/1

7.20 Since switching to front running , the once hard to win with Larry Looby comes here on a 4 timer  and could well be up to defying the 6 pounds hit , and this C&d looks likely to suit this dour stayer .

1/2pt  win Larry Looby @ 13/8

7.50 This is highly winnable and a chance taken with the well handicapped but hard to predict C&D winner Golden Town .

1/4pt win Golden Town @ 7/1

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack

6.00 The longer trip is the issue with recent easy winner The Mouse King and while penalised 7 pounds , an able apprentice aboard swallows tat up , but this still looks a close call between a pair of in form types in the well handicapped Subjective Value and the consistent Non stop . At the ratings , tips just gets the nod .

1/4pt win Subjective Value @ 4/1  1/4pt rev fc Subjective Value- Non Stop

7.00 Should be a breeze for the odds on Godolphin runner Sense Of Power

7.30 Quite an open handicap but the switch to polytrack not in the favour of East End Girl , who missed all of last season, but usual service resumed with a win at Newcastle with Qoya close up , an unlucky looking 4th . The lightly  raced Whimsy comes here on a hat-trick and is likely to have her own way up front . She’s 5 pounds higher for her last win , but it was most easy peasy and could be up to the penalty .

1/4pt  win Whimsy @ 4/1
