” Buc” n good bet in the 1.50

Today’s Multi – yesterday 2 winners 6/1 & 10/3 & 16/1 3rd

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Bucanero Fuente 1.50 @ 3/1

Our Sam 4.01 @ 15/2

Catwalk Model 2.20 @ 7/1

Selected The Curragh- good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.50 A couple of these in this juvenile Group 2 return to the fray after excellent efforts at Royal Ascot, the pick of those performances being Bucanero Fuerte’s excellent one length 3rd of 20 at this trip , when front rank throughout and kept going all the way . Surprisingly he’s not fav and the market leader is the lightly raced Aiden O’Brien runner Unquestionable , who looked good last time , but it was only a 6 runner race and has to prove he’s up to the tip’s level.

3/4pt win Bucanero Fuerte @ 5/2

2.25 Michael Dodds is a genius at transforming sprinters through the ranks and he crosses The Irish Sea with the useful and consistent Commanche Falls , who has the edge at the ratings , but evens no inducement . Tango Flare is interesting as this unexposed sprinter comes here on a hat-trick .

1/4pt  ew Tango Flare @ 10/1

3.00 A massive field for this valuable handicap sprint and surprisingly not much early pace . Michaela’s Boy is fav to lead them along with another English raider in Sheikh Maz Mahood another likely to be front rank . It’ll be hard work making all so this could go to the lightly raced Run Ran Run, a smart winner over C&D last time on similar ground and just 2 pounds higher .

1/2pt  ew Run Ran Run @ 11/2

3.40 The Irish Derby and you won’t get rich backing the 1/3 fav Auguste Rodin , a good winner of the Epsom equivalent , and the 2nd horse has won impressively since . The lightly raced White Birch was 3rd at Epsom , coming from a long way back . This C&D will suit more and even if he can’t outstay the fav , looks most solid ew .

3/4pt ew White Birch @ 6/1

4.15 Another valuable handicap and again I’m with a lightly raced one in Rahmi , who beat 19 others over C&D last time . The 4 pound hit will test ,but is far better drawn today and taken to double up .

1/4pt win Rahmi @ 4/1

4.50 This has a very winnable look to it and should be fought out by two unexposed fillies , who both ran very well at Royal Ascot , finishing practically alongside each other . The drop in trip may not be ideal but Adelaise gets the nod over Yerwanthere .

1/4pt  win Adelaise @ 9/2

5.25 Understandably Tarawa is a warm order in this valuable Listed race , but I can pass at evens .

Selected Uttoxeter – good ground on this undulating and sharp track with a long galloping straight.

2.30 Plenty of in form runners here but with a strong pace expected , the two in form late players in Al Zaraqaan and Noahthirtytwored can fight this one out . The tip was an Ok miler on the flat but amazingly has taken to fences like a duck to water , 2 from 2 in this discipline , and there looks more to come .

1/4pt win  Al Zaraqaan @ 4/1

3.12 A valuable stayers chase and I’m going for one of the longshots in Captain Tommy . His performances were a tale of woe , until a return to good ground and a huge drop in the ratings , saw him win very well at Bangor and followed up with a good 2nd at Stratford . He’s up 7 pounds , but has been rated higher than today in the past and runs this C&D very well. Lovely longshot .

Selected Cartmel – good to soft on this undulating and sharp track with a ,long run in.

2.05 The prolific Grey Skies comes here on the back of a narrow defeat over C&D . Just a pound higher and the softer ground will suit . Tactically versatile .

1/2pt  ew Grey Skies @ 11/2

2.40 Castel Gandolfi is highly consistent and claimed a deserved win at Kelso last time . He’s up 4 pounds but today’s ground will suit and looks another good ew play .

1/2pt ew Castel Gandolfo @ 15/2

3.21 Jimmy Moffat trains just over the road from the track and is by some way the top trainer here . Alqamar is a 3 time course winner and recently resumed duties with an encouraging effort in his first try at this much longer trip . Will strip fitter and worth a play .

1/4pt win  Alqamar @ 11/2

4.01 The hat-trick seeking Classic Lady has a nasty 7 pound penalty , switches to softer ground and wins have come at the very stiff and totally different track from today at Hexham . I’m sticking with Jimmy Moffat again in Our Sam , a good 4th in a far better contest over C&D last time . Softer ground also helps . Shantou Spirit has his first run for the Moffat stable and this in form late player is worth a fc .

1/2pt ew Our Sam @ 15/2  1/4pt  rev fc Our Sam – Shantou Spirit .

Selected Windsor – good to firm on this flat and galloping track

2.20 Mighty Gurkha got back on the scoresheet with a wide margin win at Leicester , but the 8 pound hit and a switch to a more benign track both against him. The lightly raced Catwalk Model has put in two big runs at this trip and ground and on similar speed tracks , form that puts her on a very good mark in her handicap debut .

1/2pt win  Catwalk Queen @ 13/2

2.55 Reminder beat the luckless Lady Dreamer over C&D last time , but revenge should be on with a 7 pound pull .

1/4pt win Lady Dreamer @ 11/4

4.45 Naasma is up 3 pounds for a good win at this trip on polytrack and her turf form is good enough to outstay her rivals.

1/4pt win  Naasma @ 9/4

5.20 The odds on fav is the hat-trick seeking Kimnkate but the stiff penalty and switch to a speed track , could well find her out . Honeymooner ran very well in a far better race from the front and could take some catching. The in form Congruent is taken for the juicy rev fc.

1/4pt win Honeymooner @ 10/1  1/4pt rev fc Honeymooner – Congruent
