Ben Macdui to scale the heights

Todays Multi

Very close to a bigee yesterday , 2 winners @ 11/2 & 18/1 and a place @ 11/2 !

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Ben Macdui 2.25 @ 5/2

Hardy Angel 5.25 @ 3/1

Yerwanthere 3.15 @ 7/1

Selected Naas , good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.45 River Tiber created quite an impression  when winning on debut by a long looking 10 lengths on soft ground  , but he didn’t appear to have beaten much , carries a penalty and faces much quicker ground today . As you would expect , he’s up against a couple of costly and well bred newcomers . I wouldn’t advise going all in on the fav at 2/7 .

2.15 A competitive and good quality sprint but I’m with the British raider , the prolific Tees Spirit , who won first time out last season and took his mark from an average 71 to a useful 104 . He’s at his very best on a stiff track and quick ground and despite there being higher rated rivals in the field, anything crossing The Irish Sea is of interest , especially for this in form stable

1/4pt win Tees Spirit @ 6/1

3.15 The highest rated in the field , New Energy has disappointed just too often and is up against some progressive types. Yerwanthere was transferred to the top stable of Joseph O’Brien after winning on debut and won as he liked next time in a Dundalk handicap . Looks better than his progressive mark .

1/2pt win  Yerwanthere @ 7/1

3.45 The fav is the highest rated , the useful The Antarctic , but he’s another who’s disappointed a few times .Mauiewowie did well as a juvenile and carried on the good work with a fine comeback spin . Bred for the extra furlong and is preferred .

1/4pt win Mauiewowie @ 7/1

Selected Stratford good ground on this flat and sharp track

3.05 This is very much a match but with Book of Secrets continuing to have infrequent visits to the racetrack , and if anything , getting worse , clear call for the Irish raider Call Me Rocky after a good 5th of 18 last time in a good ground handicap .

1/2pt win Call Me Rocky @ 6/4

4.05 Shantou Secret has a fine record around this specialist C&D and despite a 6 pound hit , it merely puts her on last season’s mark when winning on similar ground .

1/4pt win Shantou Secret @ 9/2

Selected Ripon – good to firm on this undulating and sharp track

2.25 Ben Macdui has dropped like a stone in the ratings , but has run well in both starts for his new stable and comes here on the back of a fine placed effort in as far better race at Ponty and off the same mark can make an overdue return to The Winner’s Circle .

1/2pt win Ben Macdui @ 5/2

3.25 His Majesty’s Market Value looks relatively big odds to land an ordinary maiden bringing the best form to the table and proven on conditions

1/2pt win Market Value @ 11/8

3.55 Roaring Legend comes here on the back of a most solid 2nd off this mark and if handling slightly quicker ground , won’t be far away again .

1/4pt win Roaring Legend @ 4/1

4.25 A weak sprint handicap which looks at the mercy of Pinafore after a big run in a big field at Newmarket off this mark , but is odds on .

4.55 Showmedemoney is very consistent but now on a stiff enough mark but this longer trip could well suit and could open a few new doors . Not a deep heat .

1/4pt win  Showmedemoney @ 9/2

5.25 Not a deep finale and recent soft ground winner Highfield Viking has more on his plate on quicker ground and carrying a penalty . Preference is for recent Ponty 3rd Hardy Angel , who stays on the same mark and is proven over C&D and ground .

1/2pt win Hardy Angel @ 3/1
