Selected Bath – firm ground on this undulating , sharp and stiff track
1.30 The short priced fav is the Sir Mark Prescott unexposed youngster Gordons Aura , expected to do so much this better this term , as the majority of the stable’s 3yo do year in year out, finally upped to an appropriate distance and often on competitive marks, but he comes here with just 3 runs on the all weather to his name , returns after a 7 months absence and fast ground an unknown , so not enticing at evens . Hidden Depths is a 3 times C&D winner and despite now being on a stiff enough mark and unlikely to have the strong pace this late player likes to sit off , is still preferred .
1/4pt Hidden Depths @ 7/2
3.00 The fast ground will certainly favour 3 times C&D winner Ruby Cottage more than the rest of the field and she’s just a pound higher than narrowly missing out over C&D last time and star apprentice Harry Davies takes the ride and a valuable 5 pounds off the back of this late player .
3/4pt win Ruby Cottage @ 2/1

3.10 The free going Makaman has the best of the draw and has been unlucky not to score of late and last time lost his chance at the start when stumbling badly but previously lost little in defeat when front rank all the way at Hamilton only to be chinned by yesterday’s Ayr victor Earn Your Stripes . Up 2 pounds , but this isn’t demanding and could nab a deserved win.
1/4pt win Mokaman @ 9/2
4.40 The front running Autumn Festival is still on a workable mark which he showed with a close 2nd at Ponty on quick ground . He’s well drawn and very likely to have his own way up front. Some in form types in competition but C&D specialist Proud Archi isn’t one to have that much faith In and up 4 telling pounds for a rare success last time while this is much tougher for Stripzee , another course winner last time but stiff penalty and goes up in grade and True Blue Moon only won a claimer over C&D last time .
1/2pt win autumn Festival @ 2/1

Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
2.20 The best race on the card , a quite valuable handicap sprint and with so much early pace around , those up front are likely to be waving the white flag late on leaving it to the mor patiently ridden ones to take charge . Harry’s Bar is 4 from 7 here and when last seen in March , won a similar race with ease and is just a pound higher , but despite his excellent record here , his rider , adam Caffrey is 0 from 28 here ! When last successful, Harry’s Bar had the ultra consistent and progressive track regular Adam’s Barbour about a length behind . He’s 2 pounds better off and with different jockey’s allowances , 3 pounds worse off , but as Sophie Rutledge has ridden the tip to victory twice , that tips the scales .
1/4pt win Adams Barbour @ 7/2
4.20 A typical big field low grade handicap but despite a wide draw, grounds for being with Phoenix Open , who was a running on 3rd over C&D from a similar bad draw , and a pound lower today and comes here on the back of a mighty effort when 3rd of 22 in a Leopardstown handicap, again from a bad draw . Late player and Kieran Leonard has hit the frame with him twice from 3 tries.
1/4pt ew Phoenix Open @ 10/1
Selected Southwell – good ground on this flat and sharp track – speed track
5.40 Looks there for the taking but can’t find anything who’d take advantage .

6.10 Worth a chance on capable and decently handicapped hurdler, Rock The House , over fences for the first time against very beatable rivals .
1/4pt win Rock The House@ @ 8/1
6.40 A stack of In form runners and the fav is course specialist The Vollan , who would do very well to win this up in grade and in the ratings sharply .

8.10 Tara’s Day goes well over C&D . She remains on a good mark and if ridden for a late charge , could surprise .
1/4pt ew Tara’s Day @ 12/1
8.40 An even money fav in Presenting Pete , a good winner over C&D last time on his first start for John Mackie , but the 4 pound hit will test and the unexposed youngster Kalma, who was still bang there in her first start for David Pipe when carried out late on , looks a strong rival . Happy to watch .

Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack
5.50 The fav is track regular Dors Toyboy , but the penalty for a recent win won’t help and neither will the extra furlong Hellavapace comes here on the back of two solid runs and is proven on the surface and trip . Poor win record , just 1 from 21 and is badly drawn , but in a race where serious contenders are hard to find , worth chancing .
1/4pt ew Hellavapace @ 10/1
6.20 The penalty looks a stopper for recent C&D winner Kiribana while Liberation Point was gifted a claimer at Chester last time when allowed a soft lead and much tougher tonight in this Class 3 handicap. Excel Power started the season with two all the way wins and has had some very stiff tasks since . He ran well for a long way in a hot Epsom handicap and then took his chance in The Royal Hunt Cup,where he appeared to have little chance and didn’t show from a bad draw. He’s still 5 pounds above his last winning mark , which could be manageable and is 1 from 1 over C&D . Worth risking at nice odds in what looks a winnable heat .
1/4pt win Excel Power @ 8/1
