Mr Freedom for another win in the 8.40

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Bedford Flyer 7.10 @ 9/2

Mr Freedom 8.40 @ 6/4

Hi Clare 9.00 @ 3/1

Selected Lingfield – first 3 races polytrack , last 4 turf , going good to firm and the track is undulating and sharp .

2.00 We start with an unbackable favourite in the Sir Mark Prescott 3yo Blindedbythelights , a comfortable winner on his reappearance , yet another 3yo from his stable to succeed in his first handicap and going up to a more suitable trip.  He is up a telling 6 pounds and does switch to polytack , so for those reasons , there will be safer 1/4 shots in the next few days . Caraxes runs in famous colours for a top stable and hasn’t shaped up badly in his runs , and takes a drop in grade .

1/4pt ew Caraxes @ 10/1

2.30 Jalapa runs for a top stable and runs in the Frankel colours and is a full sister to recent Irish Derby winner Westover , so disappointing for connections that she starts in lowly company in her first handicap off a mark of just 67. She’s proven on the surface and you would expect her to be toon good for Class 6 rivals .

1/4pt win Jalapa @ 11/4

3.00 In a race full of late players , the consistent Daphne May could well have a soft lead , and this dual C&D winner could be away and gone .

1/4pt win Daphne May @ 7/2

4.30 With 3 of the 6 runners being prominent racers , a true run race is on and this should be fought out by Spirit Warning and Amathus , both late players and they were close up over C&D last time . the nod goes to the latter as Spirit Warning rarely sees the racetrack and could well bounce .

1/4pt win Amathus @ 4/1

5.00 Mojeyr was a smart winner on tapeta last time , given a prominent ride , giving her opening handicap mark a generous look but preference is for the well handicapped Magical Merlin , who is 1 from 1 in Class 5 .

1/4pt win Magical Merlin @ 5/1

Selected Southwell – good ground on this flat and sharp track

3.45 A modest novice hurdle and the consistent if luckless Shandancer has a fine chance to shed his maiden tag, could be 16th time lucky !

1/4pt win Shandancer @ 2/1

4.50 Looks very much a match but the form of Nadim has a lot more substance than Ez Tiger , and should oblige for fav backers .

1/2pt  win Nadim @ 5/4

Selected Windsor – good ground on this flat and galloping track – speed track

5.40 Painite runs in famous colours and for a top stable and as her value soared from £28,000 as a yearling to £120,000n as a 2yo, connections have obviously seen something they like . She did well on debut on quick ground at Nottingham just beaten by an odds on shot and despite a wide draw, she should be too good in an average maiden

1/2pt win Painite @ 15/8

7.10 Bedford Flyer comes here on the back of two big runs at York in competitive races , front rank throughout as usual , and keeping on well. He may not be able to lead these with the flying , yet badly out of form Night On Earth in the contest , but he will stay much better. The late playing Isle Of Lismore is a threat from a good draw.

1/4pt win  Bedford Flyer @ 4/1  1/4pt  rev Bedford Flyer – Isle Of Lismore

7.40 The hat-trick seeking Unlimited Data has a bit to do switching from the all weather and up 6 pounds , but at least is a specialist at this minimum trip . A good pace is assured with the down in trip pair of My Turn Now and Premiere Beauty sure to bomb off which will help the cause of recent Goodwood 4th Desperate Hero , that run coming in higher grade and at this trip and is taken to come off the pace for the victory .

1/4pt win  Desperate Hero @11/2

8.40 Mr Freedom was most progressive and reliable over hurdles last season, running big races off a mark of 120 , which is 84 on the flat . He recently was an easy winner back on the flat off a mark of 61 , which he couldn’t do before going hurdling . As usual , he was played late and with a good pace assured, can make light of a 6 pound hit .

3/4pt win  Mr Freedom @ 6/4

Selected Ponty – good ground on this very stiff , undulating and galloping track

8.30 The consistent Caesars Pearl had an impossible task last time up against the progressive Another Bear , but as usual , ran her race in 2nd .She previously was a good 2nd here and is taken to land a deserved win . Lord Abama is rarely far away , should like this C&D and is well drawn , but is 0 from  11 .

1/4pt win Caesars Pearl @ 6/1

9.00 The front running Hi Pearl comes here on the back of a typically genuine effort at Hamilton  from the front , beaten less than a length , and off this mark . Her stamina will be a huge asset around this stiff C&D. She’s very likely to have the lead to herself and is preferred to the in form pair of Pearl Eye and Tasever , who could struggle to get home on this demanding C&D .

1/2pt  win Hi Clare @ 3/1
