Selected Fakenham – good to soft on this undulating and very sharp track
12.55 Severely missed the boat in this modest handicap as I considered Sailed Away to be a lively longshot, in a handicap for the first time and having his first race for Stuart Edmonds , who is amongst the winners , does well with new intakes and has a good record here . Still having just a dabble .
1/4pt win Sailed Away @ 9/4
1.30 This looks a match between the admirable Ben Buie , 5 wins in his last 9 and put in a career best run last time when back up to this trip last time out , in the van throughout and kept on very well . The 5 pound hit will take some overcoming and the overnight rain is likely to have scuppered his chance . Scene One ended the season with an all the way win at Warwick in a novice hurdle putting him on a fair mark in his first handicap , and the in form stable who is the top stable here , is wasting no time putting him over fences . Gets the nod .
1/2pt win Scene One @15/8
2.05 The consistent Star Legend is 0 from 11 over hurdles but is rarely far away and in an modest looking novice hurdle , could have his day.
1/4pt win Star Legend @ 4/1
3.10 Youngster Kadex stepped up considerably up in trip , on easier ground and after a wind op to win with ease at Plumpton, and the 4 pound hit looks within range in a winnable heat . Looks another course winner for Lucy Wadham
1/2pt win Kadex @ 2/1

Selected Kempton – good to soft on this flat and sharp track
12.45 Not a competitive novice hurdle and as the form the two recent winners in Classic King and Queen’s Gamble is just Ok , preference is for Bhaloo , who brings good bumper form to the table and has his first run for Nicky Henderson . Concerning though that he’s just had 2 starts , a year apart and returns after another lengthy absence today .
1/4pt win Bhaloo @ 3/1
1.15 A very open looking novice handicap chase , and only 3 of these have experience over fences . I boil it down to 4 , all of whom are making their debuts over fences but have the form over hurdles to make an impact off their marks and over this kind of C&D . The list is : Earth King , Richill , Touchy Feely and Invincible Nao , but as the latter ran his best race over C&D over hurdles and as Gary Moore’s youngsters often improve for going over the larger obstacles . Worth a dabble at long odds .
1/4pt ew Invincible Nao @ 22/1

3.30 Petticoat Lucy has certainly improved since going over fences , 2 from 2 , and despite a 6 pound hit is looking ahead of the game and can get the better of more exposed rivals.
1/2pt win Petticoat Lucy @ 3/1
4.00 Worth trying recent Huntingdon winner Jack The Savage , who is just his second handicap , gave them a start and a beating at Huntingdon , so this C&D should be fine and the 3 pound hit is well swallowed up by the booking of an able 7 pound claimer .
1/2pt win Jack The Savage @ 4/1

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
4.30 The Pug will find the penalty and drop in trip against his hat-trick bid while the consistent Prince Ali is likely to be bang there again but off this mark , there’s likely to be something to pip him . Operatic Artist comes here on the back of a good 3rd here off this mark , and stays the extra yardage but is a maiden after 8 tries and the stable has a poor record using cheekpieces for the first time . The nod goes to recent close Newcastle 4th Red Treasure , goes well on tapeta and worth a try at this longer trip .
1/4pt win Red Treasure @ 9/2
5.00 The Godolphin horse Lenormand brings the best form to the table , but has been absent for 15 months , carries a penalty , is new to the surface and badly drawn , so well worth opposing with the well drawn Running Star , both runs were good and proven at the trip and surface.
1/4pt win Running Star @ 7/4
6.00 The extra furlong is the issue for the back to form pair in Second Collection and Admirable Lad , both running well here last time so the nod goes to recent Kempton scorer Lynwood Lass , just a pound higher and much better drawn than the close up 2nd Peachey Carnehan .
1/4pt win Lynwood Lass @ 9/2
6.30 Coast is well drawn to repeat his good run over C&D last time , but up a pound and won’t have a 7 pound claimer in the saddle tonight . There is still plenty of life in veteran Dodgy Bob , 2 wins this season and ran well over C&D from a bad draw last time . Well drawn to attack from flag fall .
1/4pt ew Dodgy Bob @ 9/1

8.00 Intoxicate has a stiff 5 pound penalty going in search of the hat-trick , but stiff opposition thin on the ground . Worth a try on the Hugo Palmer trained youngster Teddy’s Dawn , whose Ok runs In maidens puts her on a good looking mark . Proven on the surface, extra furlong will help and I’d have been more confident if it wasn’t for the able David Probert experiencing a long losing run at the track .
1/2pt ew Teddy’s Dawn @ 25/1
