3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Guilded 3.34 @ 6/1
Misscall 2.07 @ 6/1
Mark’s Choice 4.14 @ 8/1
Selected Ayr – good to soft on this flat and galloping track
1.14 Quite open but the tip has a very rare run in Class 4 and comes here in his usual good form .
1/2pt win Rebel At dawn @ 7/2
2.24 With Aasser and the admirably consistent Truly Acclaimed now on stiff marks, drawn to the well handicapped Flash The Dash after an improved run last time .
1/4pt ew Flash The dash @ 9/1
2,59 Happy could have been drawn better but had a similar adverse draw at York recently but still managed to get to the front and as usual run his race . Last time out he was a close 3rd at this trip on soft ground off this mark and taken to make all .
1/2pt win Happy @ 11/2
3.34 A valuable Class 1 sprint and at the ratings the one to beat is the down in class Guilded , who has been holding her home in some hot races and in calmer waters today , and as she’s proven on the ground, looks a very good bet , especially at the odds .
3/4pt win Guilded @ 6/1
4.14 The in form Nearly A Gonna is sure to try and make all and the easy to take on Shark Two One also likely to get stuck in early , a strong pace for certain which will help course winner Mark’s Choice , who showed at his beloved Ripon two starts back that he is not far off peak form .
1/2pt win Mark’s Choice @ 8/1
Selected Newmarket – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
2.07 Not a deep race and well worth chancing Misscall on better ground after an excellent 2nd last time in the Goodwood mud, not the first time she’s hinted that wins can come off around this mark . Mickael Barzalona an eye catching booking .
1/2pt win Misscall @ 6/1
3.52 An open event but nothing wrong with the chance of the consistent if luckless Dashing Rat , a close 3rd here off around this mark when last seen .
1/4pt ew Dashing Rat @ 16/1
4.32 The admirably tough and consistent Brazen Bolt has fine claims of another win and was beaten just a nose last time , off this mark , but Dashing Dick is holding his form well and his close 2nd last time off this mark makes him a very solid ew play .
1/2pt ew Dashing Dick @ 13/2
5.09 A chance can be given to many in the finale but the front running Antiphon sees this trip out well and was only a chinned a nose last time off a similar mark .
1/4pt ew Antiphon @ 7/1
Selected Redcar – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
3.22 Many of these are now racing on stiff enough marks so worth chancing the capable Asadjumeirah going up in trip .
1/4pt ew Asadjumeirah @ 14/1
4.02 After a good 2nd on his comeback spin Maybe Even Never , never got into a big field handicap when upped in trip and will be happier on the ground than the others with a chance .
1/4pt win Maybe Even Never @ 3/1
5.13 Not a deep low grade sprint and worth giving Eldeyaar another chance as he’s been unlucky the last twice and his previous run reads well in the context of this race and has been eased in the ratings .
1/4pt ew Eldeyaar @ 10/1
Selected Perth – probably good ground on this flat and sharp track
2.17 Castletown gets the nod over Fanamix in what looks a match .
1/4pt win Castletown @ 2/1
2.52 Wolfspar impressed winning over C&D last time and the 6 pound hit could be Ok but preference for the consistent Fathers Advice , two good placed efforts here and only weakened late on at this trip at Hexham , so the return to an easier track in his favour .
1/4pt ew Fathers advice @ 9/1
5.23 There was precious little between Pammi , Go Bob Go and Young William over C&D last time and off the same marks should be the same story ,making the tip a nice ew play .
1/4pt ew Young William @ 11/2
Selected Royal Ascot – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
2.30 The vast majority of these 2yos are in the category of “ Could Be Anything “ but there is still an even money fav in Alfred Munnings , and considering no knowing for sure what he’s up against , looks a shocking bet , win or lose ! Alzahir shaped up really well on debut splitting a couple of fancied Godolphin youngsters and this expensive purchase is preferred .
1/4pt ew Alzahir @ 8/1
3.05 PREMIUM RACE
3.40 PREMIUM RACE
4.20 We could practically hear the cheers down under when Nature Strip destroyed a good field in The kings Stand a few days ago and The Australian runner in this is the prominent racing Home Affairs , who beat Nature Strip narrowly two starts back and last time had an impossible task in a handicap when badly drawn .
1/2pt win Home Affairs @ 5/2
5.00 PREMIUM RACE
5.35 PREMIUM RACE
6.10 The last race of a truly excellent Royal Ascot , despite yours truly finding winners hard to come by and all that was missing was Her Majesty , but doctor’s orders and all that . This is the longest flat race in the calendar and at the ratings the one to beat is dual course winner and classy stayer Trueshan , but fast ground no help to him . Others with a clear chance at the ratings are The Irish raiders Falcon Eight and Wordworth , and cases can be made for this pair but despite having to find a chunk at the ratings , Reshoun loves it here and was unlucky in the handicap , raced over a slightly shorter trip , a race he won last year . With the C&D and ground very much in his favour , likely to outrun his odds .
1/4pt ew Reshoun @ 25/1
Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack
5.18 The consistent Arpina has a couple of recent 2nds on her Cv , both here and in better class, handicap company and has run her race from a wide draw before .
1/4pt win Arpina @ 6/1
6.20 Gigi’s Beach is the clear form horse , 3 wins in his last 5 and despite a nasty 5 pound hit , this C&D hasn’t a lot to beat .
1/4pt win Gigi’s Beach @ 3/1
7.30 Have to have strong doubts about Janus doubling up, up in trip, no places from 5 tries, up in the ratings and also 2nd race back after a lengthy absence , so likely to bounce . The drop in trip is an issue , but the Sir Mark Prescott youngster Captain Howse likely to be too good for modest opposition .
1/4pts win Captain Howse @ 11/4
8.00 The consistent C&D winner Party Island gets the call over the penalised C&D winner Forge Valley Lad .
1/4pt ew Party Island @ 2/1
8.30 Quite a good quality and competitive handicap for the finale and I’m with the well drawn likely front running Boasty ,holding his form well off his new mark .
1/4pt ew Boasty @ 7/1
Selected Haydock – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
7.43 Can’t find much wrong with the chance of the consistent Mountbatten , who made all carrying a penalty on quick ground at Wetherby , which puts him on a workable mark and longer trip unlikely to be an issue .
1/4pt win Mountbatten @ 12/1
8.15 The usually reliable Star Shield has been struggling of late , but better last time and now down to a winning mark, looks a nice ew play in a winnable race .
1/2pt ew Star Shield @ 8/1
8.45 Andaleep isn’t the first horse to be coaxed back to top form under the guidance of the Kubler team , and taking advantage of a huge drop in the ratings , won comfortably at Goodwood , and the 4 pound hit still puts him comfortably within his other winning marks . Not a deep race .
1/2pt win Andaleep @ 7/2
