Angle is the right way to go

Today’s multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Atlantic Storm 1.35 @ 7/4

Gangway 9.00 @ 6/1

Angle Land 5.05 @ 5/2

Selected Southwell – probably good ground on this flat and sharp track

1.35 Looks very much a match but Atlantic Storm, who crucially runs this specialist track very well , brings much stronger form to the table than chief danger Captain Ivan .

½ pt win Atlantic Storm @ 7/4

2.45 The consistent Kings Creek was either looking like a winner about to happen or one never to happen , it all depends on your point of view , as he was frequently placed but wins very elusive, but it all came right over C&D last time , staying on well to land the spoils , and only 3 pounds higher today . He was previously 3rd over C&D just behind Tara’s Day , who has run well here before , but this one is partnered by a very inexperienced rider . Espinator finally came good last Summer landing a hat-trick and recently resumed duties with an encouraging effort at Ffos Las off his new mark , 13 pounds higher than his previous ! and not out of this. The nod goes to the consistent Motion In Limine whose close 3rd at Perth at this trip represents stronger form . Both Brianna Rose and Shore Shanty bring decent recent form to the contest and both go up in trip , and hard to know whether this will be of benefit or not .

¼ pt  win Motion In Limine @ 4/1

Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack

Selected Windsor – very soft ground on this flat and galloping track

5.05 The front running Angle Land was allowed to start at very long odds at Goodwood last time out despite previously winning well at Lingfield on the all weather, but she ran a belter to be 2nd of 11 in higher grade . She is proven over C&d and crucially in the mud .She looks well capable of being away and gone with so many of the field likely to struggle in the ground .

½ pt  win Angle Land @ 5/2

6.15 PREMIUM RACE

6.45 The only time the admirably consistent Lyns Boy encountered soft ground , she severely bombed out . Live In The moment ran many a big race last season without reward and ran pretty well in The Epsom Dash at the weekend . He’s down to a good mark and is at his best on soft ground.

¼ pt  win Live In The Moment @ 7/2

No Windsor placepot

Selected Ponty – probably good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

6.30 PREMIUM RACE

7.00 The ultra reliable Charging Thunder was a brilliant 2nd of 18 at York last time out , looking unlucky not to win . He’s up 2 pounds but this C&D is still well enough handicapped to gain compensation . Both King Francis and Matchless are now racing off marks far too testing to be able to beat the tip .

½ pt win Charging Thunder @ 11/8

7.30 Since dropping to 5 furlongs , Elegant Erin is 2 from 2 and despite a further 5 nudge up the ratings , this late player is taken to land the hat-trick . The prominent racing King Of Tonga holds his form very well , 2 wins and 3 seconds In his last 6 , and runs this C&D very well , but the tip has yet to reach his ceiling . The consistent Stalngrad is a long standing maiden and the drop in trip unlikely to change his fortune .

1/2pt Win Elegant Erin @ 5/2

8.00 The back to form hat-trick seeking Bavardages goes up to a trip at which he is 0 from 2 and recent Musselburgh winner Mahanakhon Power , drop In trip, which can’t help and his win came a bit out of the blue . Both only have 2 pound penalties but still preference for the front running , well handicapped and back to form Bit Of A Quirke , but his form here is a real mixed bag . so was his form prior to his latest , but he has dropped to a very good mark .

1/4pt  win Bit Of A Quirke @ 7/2

9.00 Prior to his last race , Autumn  Festival had put together a cracking series of efforts and despite now racing off a stiff enough mark , could be relied upon to run his race , but last time at Haydock , he was kept wide and hung violently right , which effectively put him out of the contest and with his present tough mark and signs of quirkiness last time , happy to look elsewhere . Gangway is another to have his held his form very well this season , 2 wins and 2 places . He comes here on the back of a good run at Nottingham , as usual making the running , and had them stretched until giving best late on , but only beaten 2 lengths . The drop in trip around this stiff C&D could make him hard to catch . The lightly raced Billy is only 3 pounds higher for his long odds win at Haydock and not out of this and neither is Fiftyshadesaresdev , a cracking 2nd of 17 on easy ground at York, but it came off a 5 pound lower mark and over a shorter trip.

½ pt win Gangway @ 8/1
