Just Don’t Know 2.35 @ 7/1

Eldorado Allen 2.30 @ 25/1

Selected Newcastle – probably good to soft on this stiff and galloping track

11.45 The former Irish pointer , youngster Snake Roll has made quite an impression in both of his hurdles runs , comfortably bringing the best form to the table and this C&D likely to suit . Looks good for short odds players .

1/2pt win Snake Roll @ 4/5

12.15 There will be no hanging around with at least a quartet of front runners, which include the penalised recent Kelso winner Coral Blue and the consistent Lone Star , and the heavy competition for the lead won’t help any of those trying to dominate . Rockman is up 2 pounds for his good 2nd to Coral Blue but I’m interested in one which was a bit further back in that race in Timetotalk , beaten 14 lengths , but did as well as he could for a late player around that sharp circuit . Nice pull in the weights , softer ground a plus as too is a more conventional and stiffer track .

1/4pt ew Timetotalk @ 18/1

12.50 Another race with plenty wanting to lead ,which won’t help those up front but will suit the late playing , consistent , if luckless Edmond Dantes , 2nd in 3 of his last 4 races ,nudged up the ratings again, but brings good form to the table and this C&D and ground both in his favour .

1/2ptwin Edmond Dantes @ 5/2

1.25 Cruz Control ran really well in all 3 bumpers last season . His good stable has made this long journey before to their advantage and bred to jump a hurdle .

1/2pt win Cruz Control @ 13/8

2.35 The ultra consistent Just Don’t Know is on a testing but certainly a workable mark and this prominent racer will be suited to the likely strongly run race and both ground and C&D in his favour .

Selected Wetherby – probably good to soft on this flat and galloping track

12.27 Court at slip was a close 3rd over C&D last time out over hurdles , in a good looking race . Stays on the same mark and worth risking first time over fences as recent C&D soft ground winner Aire View Lad will be out of his comfort zone with a 5 pound hit as too will Sedgefield marathon winner Sir Apollo .

1/4pt  ew Court At Slip @ 12/1

1.00Not a particularly deep handicap and on the strength of a cracking close 3rd here in a competitive novice hurdle , the lightly raced Curly Ginger ran  to a level making his opening handicap mark look pretty generous

1/2pt win Curly Ginger @ 3/1

1.35 A high quality Class 1 handicap and many come into this with a good shout . The fav is Shan Blue who on his reappearance last year over C&D was way clear when taking a late fall. He ran a good race in  his last race of the season , which was an Aintree handicap when a distant 2nd to one who has gone on to run very well this season in Listed races , and was clear of the rest of the field, so this front runner can’t be ruled out. The prolific and progressive Into Overdrive was beaten just a length by today’s King George Fav L’Homme Presse but Windsor Avenue wasn’t far behind and as a good pull In the weights and hard to ignore at long odds as he runs this type of track well.

1/4pt  ew  Windsor Avenue @ 25/1

2.10 PREMIUM RACE

2.45 Another race with plenty of early pace , so again probably wise looking for a smooth traveller to come off the pace . The lightly raced of late youngster Dalyotin backed up a soft ground win at Sedgefield with a cracking effort at Kelso when a close 2nd under a 7 pound penalty , splitting a pair of very reliable yardsticks . Drops in trip and drying ground won’t be ideal but this race could well be set up for a stayer .

1/4pt  ew Dalyotin @ 15/2

3.20 Brentford Hope has a lofty flat rating of 102 , so disappointing that his hurdles runs come out at around 113 , his opening mark , which gives him a chance of course , but hasn’t convinced sufficiently in those efforts. After an Ok 2nd in a small field Ayr novice hurdle, youngster Chapel Green put in a much better run in a competitive Kelso event , a run which gives him ew claims off a fair opening mark.

1/4pt  ew  Chapel Green @ 8/1

Selected Market Rasen – soft ground on this mostly flat and sharp track .

11.55 Many of these drop into selling company for the first time and at the odds , a risk is taken with the very well handicapped course specialist in Lucky Robin , who was in the process of running a big race over fences at Sedgefield, until taking a late fall . The switch to hurdles is no major issue but he does want the ground to dry out , which is certainly possible .

1/4pt  ew Lucky Robin @ 14/1

12.30 The exciting Chasing Fire is 3 from 3 and with no chinks in  his armour and in a very ordinary novice hurdle , number 4 beckons, but is 1/3 !

1.40 PREMIUM RACE

2.15 Plenty of in form types here but the lightly raced youngster Copper Beach did little wrong on his handicap debut when beaten just a length , and will be a more potent force on today’s softer ground .

1/4pt  ew Copper Beach @ 6/1

2.50 An ultra competitive Lincolnshire National but the well handicapped Small Present ticks plenty of boxes. He’s won twice off marks of 129 over hurdles , and is off just 125 today. He’s only had as few tries over fences and both times ran pretty well . Makes longshot appeal in yet another race with a stack of early pace which will suit the late players, of which the tip is one .

1/4pt  ew Small Present @ 14/1

No Market Rasen placepot

Selected Fontwell – soft ground on this sharp track

11.57 The ex-Irish pointer Givega looked really good at Lingfield in the mud but that was his first run  for 18 months and 2nd race back for long time absentees is the acid test , so I wouldn’t advise a big hit at odds on . Forest Jump showed definite signs of ability in bumpers last season and  was travelling well when falling in a competitive Ascot novice hurdle last time ., In an uncompetitive event , appeals at long odds .

1/4pt ew  Forest Jump @ 33/1

12.52 PREMIUM RACE

1.07 Not a deep race and a good opportunity for the consistent front runner Rose Sea Has to upgrade some decent efforts in defeat.

1/4pt win Rose Sea Has @ 10/3

1.42 Youngster Teddy Blue ran a cracker last time in a hot looking Class 1 handicap at Newbury , on ground far too quick and this C&D winner will relish the return to soft ground .

3/4pt win Teddy Blue @ 7/4

2.17 This looks good for Aviles who brings he best form to the table in an ordinary event and no issue with softer ground .

1/2pt  win Aviles @ 5/4

2.52 This looks a 3 horse war between hat-trick seeking Clonvalla , who gave fav backers a few anxious moments early on , but in the end , knuckled down and got the job done in the Lingfield mud , but the 6 pound hit could be a stopper . Born At Midnight , 2 wins and a 2nd in his last three , landed a modest heat last time and is another with a stiff 6 pound penalty . Jefferey’s Cross comes here on the back of 3 successive seconds one of those when successful at Warwick but lost the race in The Stewards Room and has certainly done enough to land this winnable heat .

1/2pt  win Jeffery’s Cross @ 11/4

3.27 Blue Shark and Walkinthewoods are bang in form youngsters but both now on testing marks, for what they have achieved . Kenny George saves his best for this C&D in the mud and has dropped to his last winning mark and ran well here on his seasonal reappearance .

Selected Huntingdon – good to soft on this flat and galloping track

12.05 The ex-French ,Grillon De Monty,  who won his first three races , comes here on the back of a fine effort on  his debut run for the top stable of Dan Skelton , trying to make all at this trip and around this mark on soft ground, and just a few lengths shy at the line . Compensation  awaits.

1/2pt  win Grillon De Monty @ 2/1

1.47 Poker Master certainly deserves an extra carrot as he’s won 5 of his last 6 , 4 of them here and is versatile ground wise . He’s up another 4 pounds but is still looking ahead of the game around here .

1/2pt win Poker Master @ 4/1

2.22 PREMIUM RACE

2.57 This is likely to concern the back to form pair of Fox’s Socks and No Worries with the latter getting the nod after a smooth success first time over fences and likely to be up to the 5 pound hit .

Selected Kempton – soft ground on this flat and sharp track

12.45 The only certainty in this is tat it’s going to be run at a ferocious pace with so many at their best when dominating and with so much competition for the lead , it’ll take those up front way out of their comfort zone. Former Champion stayer Paisley Park can still go a bit and this race is tailor made for this strong stayer .

3/4pt win Paisley Park @ 9/2

1.20 Despite having a bit to find on official ratings, the front running 5 timer chasing Gelino Bellini should have an easy time of things up front and relishes the mud .

1/2pt win Gelino Bellini @ 11/4

1.55 No point in opposing the new Superstar 1/7 shot Constitution Hill .

2.30 The King George and the fav is the highest rated in L’Homme Presse but ALL of his runs , and wins have come on stiff tracks and despite the ground being in his favour, he could well be struggling for pace around this sharp C&D . The prolific and very useful Bravemansgame won over C&D last year in the previous race in the mud and looked good on his recent comeback spin winning at Wetherby but the ultra tough and consistent Eldorado Allen was only a few lengths behind in  that race and also better off at the weights . Lovely longshot .

1/2pt  ew Eldorado Allen @ 25/1

3.05 Tricky stuff but the return to handicaps off a fair mark gives the edge to the consistent West Cork .

1/4pt win West Cork @ 9/2

3.40 A wide open finale but the soft ground loving Optimise Prime bounced back to form with a smart win at Lingfield and current mark looks manageable .

Selected Wincanton – good to soft on this flat and galloping track

12.18 A tricky opener but the consistent Eureka Creek looked good in his first chase at Uttoxeter , and his first since a  wind op and could well be ahead of the game despite the 7 pound hit .

1/4pt win Eureka Creek @ 5/2

1.28 Sizeable Sam has a terrific record here , 3 wins and 2 places in 5 tries ! He comes here in top form suffering a narrow defeat at Exeter on good ground but is 3 pounds higher and stamina not copperbottomed on soft ground , but should still be good enough .

1/4pt win Sizeable Sam @ 7/2

2.03 Ede’iffs Elton is another in form course specialist , but with no issues with the ground at this trip, a more confident selection .

1/2pt win Ede’iffs Elton @ 4/1

No Wincanton placepot

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta

1.50 A tricky opener but holes can be picked in the chances of many . Recent Lingfield winner Raintown is proven over C&D and on a fair mark in his first handicap .

1/4pt win Raintown @ 5/1

2.25 The ultra freliable C&D winner Grace Angel  is probably on a stiff enough mark presently and carries a penalty but well drawn to attempt an all the way win and with her terrific attitude , could fight them all off

1/4pt win Grace Angel @ 4/1

3.00 A good quality Class 2 sprint and the pair to beat at the ratings can both be taken on . Art Power continues to disappoint in the main while the drop in trip most unlikely to help the bang in form Tinker Tot. Exalted Angel is a very useful sprinter and well effective over C&D and comes here in fine form . Likely to stalk the front running Lord Of The Lodge before staying the best .

1/2pt win Exalted Angel @ 10/3

3.30 PREMIUM RACE

4.45 Busby comes here on a hat-trick and after his cosy win last time , which makes him 4 from 4 over C&D , looks capable of defying a 4 pound hit, especially with an able 7 pound claimer in the saddle .

1/2pt win Busby @ 5/2

5.20 I’m happy taking on the short priced hat-trick seeking fav in Haku with a very hefty 7 pound hit . The late playing Crimson King has dropped to a good mark and plenty of encouragement from his recent comeback spin .
