Bernardo O’Reilly 2.50 @ 5/1

Copper Mountain 2.40 @ 5/1

Mah Mate Bob 3.00 @ 6/1

Selected Redcar – soft ground on this flat and galloping track

2.05 Pallas lord comes here with 2 wins from his last 3 races , both at Newcastle and returns to soft turf with a patchy record with underfoot conditions . Harvest Day also comes here in good form from the all weather , but is proven on the ground and this C&D off around this mark and this late player is preferred .

¼ pt win Harvest Day @ 9/2

2.40 Copper Mountain is another to come here on good form from the all weather and has seriously raised his game since being stepped up to a mile and this new mark may be within range judged on his latest start . He has a good run here in the book . 4th of 19 in a soft ground handicap over a trip way too short . Big chance today .

½ pt  win Copper Mountain @ 5/1

4.53 Al Quassim is another who’s been in top form on the all weather and comes here on the back of a good 3rd of  13 at this trip at Donny on easy ground and that’s good enough to land this winnable finale .

½ pt  win Al Quassim @ 9/4

Selected Windsor – currently good but could soften a bit . The track is flat and galloping – speed track

1.40 No doubting Fair And Square’s willingness as he comes here on the back of  3 seconds  and 4 thirds in his last 8 runs and this front runner has a decent effort on turf on his CV. This isn’t a deep race and you have to have concerns regarding the fav, Enlightenment on turf , as his smart win came on Wolver  and the dame was an all weather specialist . Could this be a deserved win for the tip, yes.

1/4pt  win Fair And Square @ 4/1

2.50 Bernardo O’ Reilly was given a far more positive ride , under today’s jockey Hayley Turner , and landed a big field Class 3 handicap with ease . He drops in grade and on that showing , the 4 pound hit may well not stop the double , especially if the rains come .

½ pt  ew  Bernardo O’Reilly @ 5/1

5.00 The once useful Green Power , 3 wins in the mid 90’s at his prime , looked regressive and unlikely to collect again , but bumped up to a mile , landed a Kempton handicap and went close over the same C&d next time , off a 2 pound higher mark than today . He was less effective on the Southwell tapeta next time but was given a more prominent ride than usual . Last season he ran well in a soft ground handicap at around this mark at Yarmouth and nice outsider in a winnable heat .

¼ pt  ew Green Power @ 11/1

Selected Kelso – good to soft on this undulating and sharp track with a long galloping straight .

3.00 The front running Mah Mate Bob always gives value for money and is a very determined soul. He’s been dropping in the handicap despite some respectable efforts and could take some catching around a track he runs well and optimum ground conditions.

½ pt  win Mah Mate Bob @ 6/1

3.35 Bavington Bob is yet another incredibly prolific sort for the small stable of Ann Hamilton , but drying ground , a stiff mark and this easy track could find him out . The admirably consistent Cash To Ash will no doubt give it another good try from the front and was a good 2nd over C&D on similar ground a few starts back off a higher mark . A deserved win could be on its way .

¼ pt  win Cash To Ash @ 9/2

4.10 Cedar Hill has a terrific record  here, 4 wins and 2 places from 8 tries and this 127 rated chaser can race off just 110 switching back to hurdles which makes him of obvious interest at juicy odds .

¼ pt  ew  Cedar Hill
