Shame on those languishing behind in the 2.15

today’s multi- 3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Storm Asset 2.05 @ 7/2

Unashamed 2.15 @ 9/4

Tregony 6.55 @ 9/2

Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack

1.05 Way of Life certainly has the bit between his teeth and goes for the 4 timer , but had to work hard to win over C&D a few runs back off a 7 pound lower mark than  today . Largo Bay has a terrific record here since handicapping , 2 wins and 5 places and out of the frame once , that came over a trio too short . He’s now on a stiff enough mark but did well to be 3rd at Kempton off this mark behind one who has won since under a penalty and gets the nod .

¼ pt  win Largo Bay @ 5/1

2.05 The short priced fav is the lightly raced Goldsmith , who came out of the clouds to be 3rd at Kempton , and likely to be held for another late charge today , but up a pound, first time hood a worry for this stable and not much early pace around so I prefer the highly consistent Storm Asset , 3 wins and 5 places in his last 8 runs and despite another nudge up the ratings , he’s a prominent racer , who’s 1 from 1 here and very determined and professional in the finish .

½ pt  win Storm Asset @ 7/2

2.40 The front running Queen Of Burgundy struggled off this mark last time despite having the run of the race up front and stays on the same stiff looking mark but is partnered by the find of the season in Harry Davies and his 7 pound allowance could make her hard to catch .

¼ pt  win Queen Of Burgundy @ 13/2

3.15 tricky stuff as shock turf winner Go Razzamataz has a bit to prove up in trip while Mumcat is on a fair mark in her first handicap , but tries polytrack for the first time . The admirably consistent Nikki’s Girl remains on a workable mark and shapes like she’ll cope with the extra furlong .

¼ pt  win Nikki’s Girl @ 3/1

4.20 The short priced fav is recent Wolver winner Blue Flame and as his best runs have come on tapeta, I’m with the lightly raced Diva Dancer , not beaten far at all in her first handicap last time which came here , giving the impression this longer trip would suit .

¼ pt   ew  Diva Dancer @ 8/1

Selected Ayr- good to firm on this flat and galloping track

2.15 Despite the big field , very hard to be excited about the chances of many . Unashamed did well on his recent comeback spin when 2nd of 17 at Thirsk at this trip on soft ground , but handles quick turf well enough and this prominent racer could take some catching .

¾ p  win Unashamed @ 9/4

4.30 Post Impressionist ran well on debut in what looked a warm Nottingham maiden on easy ground and it’s s bit worrying that his massive cost of £260,000 as a yearling , dropped to just £54,000 at auction . With today’s ground riding much quicker , worth a nice ew on Gurkhali Girl who ran well here on her final run of the season on fast ground and very much bred for this longer trip .

¼ pt   ew Gurkhali Girl @ 11/1

Selected Southwell – all weather – tapeta

1.55 Zephyna’s much improved 3rd came on soft ground at Ponty , so a bit to prove on today’s surface .Newcomer  Eddie’s Boy races in famous colours , is with a good stable, didn’t come cheap and related to a couple of all weather winners , one of those rated 100 .

½ p t  win Eddie’s Boy @ 2/1

3.05 The lightly raced Morning Symphony won well at Wolver over the weekend and another big run can be expected despite the 5 pound hit , as she’s proven both on the surface and trip. Autonomy is hard to catch right but if bringing his A game could land this as he has a good recent 2nd at Newcastle at this trip on his CV . Be Fair has been given a chance by the handicapper and fine at the trip and no reason why he wont act around here but I prefer the chance of the lightly raced Placated, who is 1 from 1 at this trip and won at Lingfield very much as she liked and worth chancing on the surface , as she looks ahead of the game .

¼ pt win Placated @ 7/2

4.40 The Mad Monk was a ready winner at Lingfield at this trip last time , and the 3 pound hit could have been worse but preference is for the lightly raced The Prince after a close 4th in his first handicap at Kempton and another worth chancing on this surface .

¼ pt win The Prince @ 5/1

Selected Windsor – good to firm on this flat and galloping track – speed track

5.55 The prolific I’m Mable is up a very hefty 6 pounds for her recent win at Chelmsford City , has yet to prove herself on fast ground and an inexperienced jockey takes over from Ryan Moore . Kool moe dee continues to drop In the ratings ,with not a great deal of response while Lordsbridge Boy returns to action on a 6 pounds higher mark than his last win . It was very hard to knock Atty’s Edge last season , 4 wins , 5 places and no worse than 5th in his 11 starts last season . He went well fresh last season and despite now being on a stiff enough mark , carries less negatives than the other likely winners .

¼ pt   ew  Atty’s Edge @ 8/1

6.55 The short priced fav is the lightly raced Darlectable You , who races  In the famous pink colours of Lord Lloyd-Webber , and when last seem , almost a year ago , ended up chasing shadows in a Listed event at Chester on easy ground , but was only 9/2 to land that race . She is a sister to a trio of top notch performers in Too Darn Hot, So Mi dar and Lah Ti Dar , but as this is just her 4th race in 3 years , may well not be the easiest to train or keep sound and not hard looking elsewhere . The hat-trick seeking Mercian Hymn is a massive 9 pounds higher for a win  at Kempton and the drop in trip and switch back to quick turf wont help returning from 4 months off and also the Sir Mark Todd stable is understandably not firing as he was under scrutiny for animal cruelty , which thankfully has been dropped . The penny seriously dropped for Tregony last season , landing a 4 timer , then was an unlucky 3rd and ended the season with a win at Newcastle . He’s now on a very stiff mark , but as he’s won half of his 10 starts m could well be open to more improvement and has a C&d win on his CV .

½ pt  win Tregony @ 9/2

7.55 Not a great finale and after two good seconds on the all weather Shabs ran an Ok race at Catterick on quick turf , good enough to land this modest heat .

¼ pt win Shabs @ 3/1

Selected Thirsk – good to firm on this flat and galloping track – speed track

6.35 Alethiometer ran well in all 3 races last season and after winning her maiden here on fast ground, ran well again next time out and the way she stuck on , this extra furlong should help . On a very fair mark and preferred over Come On John and Ba Na Hills who were both placed last time at this trip and off their marks but both on easy ground . Expect a prominent ride, never a bad idea here .

½ pt win Alethiometer @ 7/2
