Multi – 50pew yank , 6 £1 doubles & £1.50 ew acca
Selected Fakenham – good ground on this flat and sharp track – speed track
1.00With the ground in his favour much more than his rivals and after a good 2nd recently off this mark , front running Obey The rules could be hard to catch .
½ pt win Obey The rules @ 2/1
2.10 Restitution got the better of both Glimpse of Gold and Vocal Duke in an untidy race last time and the form looks suspect which makes C&D winner Sorbet the one . He’s only 3 pounds higher for his last win, which came over C&d and backed that up with a solid 3rd next time off this mark . Goes well fresh and has the ground in his favour .
½ pt win Sorbet @ 7/1
3.20 A chance can be given to many in this competitive Veteran’s Chase but the handicapper has given The willing Minellacelebration a good chance and he’s been running better than his finishing placings suggest , and this C&D should suit this prominent racer .
¼ pt ew Minellacelebration @ 14/1
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Kaatib 1.39 @ 11/2
Roman Mist 4.05 @ 10/3
Light N strike 2.52 @ 9/4
Selected Redcar – good to soft on this flat and galloping track
1.39 Simon Crisford has a terrific record here 5 wins in 12 and 4 from 6 in 3yo maidens . Kaatib brings the best turf form to the table finishing 4th in a competitive Nottingham maiden on similar ground , doing well from the worst of the draw and this resolute galloper is very likely to be potent on this straight track .
¾ pt win Kaatib @ 11/2
3.24 the late playing Danielsflyer has a C&D win on his CV off a higher mark and some recent form pretty good. He certainly fits the race requirements more than most .
¼ pt ew Danielsflyer @ 8/1
3.59 Woven comes here on the back of two excellent 2nd off this mark in good quality handicap sprints , but this late player has a shocking win record , so just a dabble, but really , this should be his day .
¼ pt win Woven @ 3/1
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
2.20 All 6 of these won last time , all are with top stables except for Amy Murphy’s Golden Mayflower, I’m sure one day Amy you’ll be training classic winners , so despite Morning Poem winning well on debut over C&D , makes scant appeal at even money .
2.55 Another race full of unexposed 3yos running for top stables in famous colours . Saga has the best form but up in tip and new to synthetics while both Maljoom and Bayraq are proven on the surface and the latter looks overpriced for his chance .
¼ pt win Bayraq @ 11/2
3.30 Many of these are now on stiff marks , but the likes of Handy Sailor and Diamond Bay have become hard for the handicapper to pin down . Preference is for last time track winner Stay Well , who won first time out last season and beat a good one in Bandinelli when last seen , winning here at around this trip , and worth chancing this prominent racer off a 5 pound higher mark .
½ pt win Stay Well @ 11/2
4.05 The very wonderful Roman Mist started her winning run off a mark of just 66 and went on to put together a terrific sequence , ending the season with a terrific 2nd at Lingfield in a Class 1 event, running to a level of 101 , and surpassed that last time when a close 2nd over C&D on her comeback spin . She is well worth her Newmark of 101 and nobody wants it more in the finish .
½ pt win Roman Mist @ 10/3
4.40 PREMIUM RACE
5.15 The late plating Capote’s Dream won 5 times last year and resumes duties on a stiff looking mark of 92, but is 2 from 3 here , Jim Crowley rides and with so much early pace about has a cracking race make up .
½ p t win Capotes Dream @ 9/2
No advice for Cork
Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
2.26 Despite the wide draw, Los Camachos comes to life over this C&D and another good run expected .
¼ pt ew Los Comachos @ 10/1
3.10 Meng Tian did it well over C&D on his comeback spin and could well double up with just a 3 pound hit .
¼ pt win Meng Tian @ 5/2
4.11 A competitive handicap sprint with a stack of early pace , which wont help those up front but the well drawn C&d regular Red alert can go with a strong pace and see it out well , and remains on a workable mark .
¼ pt ew Red alert @ 11/1
Selected Huntingdon – good ground on this flat and galloping track
3.05 Looks very much a match and around this track , on quick ground , Point Him Out looks good to get the better of the hard to win with Transatlantic , who would appreciate longer trip / softer ground .
¾ pt win Point him Out @ 6/4
Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating, stiff and galloping track
A tricky card and just having the one play .
3.45 Wayfinder will find this company much tough with the 6 pound hit . Smarty Wild was going really well until falling at Kempton in a far better race and taken to outstay the capable Patrocolus .
¼ pt win Smarty Wild @ 7/1
Selected Fairyhouse – good to soft on this undulating and galloping track
2.05 A tricky opener but Marvel Fan has run two big races of late , and was a close 2nd over C&D last time off a slightly lower mark .
¼ pt win Marvel Fan @ 11/2
3.50 PREMIUM RACE
5.00 PREMIUM RACE
5.40 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Plumpton – good ground on this mostly flat and sharp track
2.52 The useful and reliable Light N Strike has held his form really well and is 1 from 1 over C&d when destroying the field on good ground .
¾ pt win Light N Strike 9/4
3.27 The Yellow mini has dropped to a good mark and has at last , the ground in her favour .
¼ pt ew The Yellow Mini @ 9/1
4.02 As his in form opponents have a bit to prove either off new marks or up in trip , classy handicapper ,Annual Invictus , who runs this track very well , should be too good .
½ pt win Annual Invictus @ 2/1
4.37 Brown Bullet is rarely far away and runs this C&D well and a far better chance than the odds suggest in this small field .
¼ pt ew Brown Bullet @ 7/1
5.12 You would expect the unexposed C&D winner Blade Runner to have far too many gears for the plodding Timely Gift .
½ pt win Blade Runner @ evens
5.47Jumping Cats has dropped top a good mark and certainly wasn’t beaten for stamina over C&D last time and a more prominent ride could yield returns .
¼ pt win Jumping Cats @ 5/1
