Zara suits well in the 4.45

£1 trixie & £1 treble

Cluain Aodha 4.10 @ 5/2

Al Zaraqaan 4.45 @ 2/1

Selected Nottingham – very soft ground on this flat and galloping track

1.35 This looks a match between the hat-trick seeking Harswell Duke , 5 pounds higher for in the end a cosy win in the Leicester mud , but the field did finish in a bunch , and could have been in the right place at the right time , so preference is for the lightly raced Metabolt, who did wonders at Chester last time when unable to get a handy pitch and the jockey had to sit and suffer , but his mount stormed home to a be a closing 2 lengths 4th , that good run coming off this mark . He has an easy win on easy ground on his CV and can also front run and should put the record straight .

3/4pt win Metabolt @ 2/1

2.10 PREMIUM RACE

2.45 Wrenthorpe is a 4 time C&D winner in the mud , but hard to consider on what he’s achieved of late . The nod goes to the consistent Sir Benedict , on a workable mark and soft ground no issue .

1/4pt win Sir Benedict @ 9/2

3.20 PREMIUM RACE

3.55 PREMIUM RACE

5.05 Despite being consistent , on a good mark and also a mud lover , it’s very hard being with the very hard to win with Das Kapital. Parikarma comes here on a hat-trick after two wins at this trip at Brighton , the latest a smart win on soft ground , and the 3 pound hit could have been worse . Your Love Is King struggled at Brighton last time from the worst of the draw but in 4 runs here is a win and 3 places, handles soft ground and mark  workable and has a very able jockey in this race for amateur riders .

1/4pt win Your Love Is King @ 9/2

No advice for The Curragh today

It’s a very tricky card at Chepstow, with most races full of ifs , buts and maybes , and my only tip is for Members only .

Selected Fakenham – good ground on this undulating and very sharp track .

1.50 A 3 horse race and the fav is 6/4 and the outsider 7/4 but despite the worrying form of The Philip Hobbs’ horses , the prominent racing Dan’s Chosen likes the ground and a tight track , and remains on a good mark .

1/4pt win Dan’s Chosen @ 7/4

2.25 Gallopade was unbeaten in 2 bumper runs last season and carrying a penalty to victory in a bumper is always a good sign , and one of those wins was here , and it was a facile victory .

3/4pt in Gallopade @ 2/1

3.35 The front running Fairfield Ferrata ran a cracker on her chase debut at Worcester , trying to make all and sticking on very well to be beaten just 3 lengths by a pair of much higher rated mares. A win at Sedgefield raises hopes she’ll be fine at this track , and she’s travelled 350 miles to the races , and should be rewarded again most beatable rivals .

3/4pt win Fairfield Ferrata @ 13/8

4.10 The front running Cluain Aodha ran a cracker in his first handicap  , just going down by a short head and despite the 2 pound hit , the form is well good enough to land this .

3/4pt  win Cluain Aodha @ 5/2

4.45 The useful flat horse Al Zaraqaan is carrying on the good work over hurdles and comes here on a hat-trick, and remains on a well workable mark  . Likely to try and make all again , and around this speed track, the others will struggle to get close .

3/4pt win Al Zaraqaan @ 2/1

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack

4.50 A number of these have similar chances at the ratings , and it’ll be celebration time for connections of the winner , as all of the field are on long losing runs. Starshiba’s only win In 24 tries came over C&D almost 2 years ago, but certainly brings the strongest form to the table and disappointing if he can’t win this one well .

1/2pt win Starshiba @ 13/8

5.20 An open looking nursery but a stiff task for recent Leicester comfortable winner Aira Force , who is badly drawn and was previously a 3 lengths 2nd over C&D off a 6 pound lower mark . After two decent runs here in nurseries over an extra furlong , Pending Appeal was a cosy winner at this trip at Nottingham . the 4 pound hit keeps her in the picture , especially from a good draw .

1/4pt  ew  Pending Appeal @ 9/1

6.30 Lelabad finally broke his duck with a late flourish at Chelmsford City , but would do well doubling up now up in the ratings and grade . Fawn At Play was a runaway winner at Ffos Las on easy ground , now up 7 pounds ,but lightly raced and clearly has an engine . Raqraq was a 2 lengths 4th recently over C&D, in a better race  and on 4 pounds lower , this could be his chance .

1/4pt win Rabraq @ 9/2

7.00 Wadacre Grace comes here on the back of a running on 3rd at Chelmsford City off this mark , and the 2nd horse has gone close since . Not well drawn , but not much pace inside for this prominent racer and likely to improve for the extra furlong .

1/2pt win Wadacre Grace @ 5/2

7.30 The reliable Maytree Respite proved last time that he stays this far and should have the front to himself and could take some catching off a workable mark .

1/4pt win Maytree Respite @ 7/2

8.00 The consistent Typewritten, never out of the first 4 in his last 8 runs , and twice a winner during that period is now on a stiff mark and has a rare try on polytrack, not his best surface at all . This race has a winnable look to it and could go at rewarding odds to another bang in form runner in Largo Bay , 3 wins in his last 4 and last time was over C&D , battling hard and well for the win . He’s up 4 pounds but an able 3 pound claimer rides and looks an attractive play .

1/2pt ew  Largo Bay @ 9/1

8.30 Blazeon Five did well winning over C&D on his first try at this trip. The opposition is nothing special and this lightly raced type looks capable of the 5 pound hit .

1/2pt  win Blazeon Five @ 5/2
