Newcastle – all weather – tapeta, the track is stiff and galloping track

1.15 Very hard to be sure in this with so many of these 3yos going up in trip and trying the surface for the first time . The admirably consistent Tenjin never out of the first 4 in all of his 7 starts on the all weather , and placing in both tries on this surface, comes here on the back of 2 very big runs and his patient style of racing will be an advantage in a race stacked with early pace. I can’t understand why the hood has been removed as he’s taken to it well , but the stable knows best and still hard to ignore at long odds .

1/4pt  ew Tenjin @ 25/1

1.50 Most of these are taking on a bit more than they chew and this should be fought out by the pair with the highest ratings in Shaquille and Shouldvebeenaring , both in good form and both proven on the surface but as Shaquille is a prominent racer and there’s a stack of early pace , this will set it up beautifully for the late playing tip .

3/4pt win Shouldvebeenaring @ 7/2

2.25 The step up in trip has been the making of Berkshire Rocco and as he holds recent decisions over the majority of the field , looks a very solid fav .

1/2pt win Berkshire Rocco @ 11/8

3.00 Irish raider Freescape has been keeping warm company in Meydan in Group races and his form is well good enough to land this and surface no issue .

1/4pt win Freescape @ 8/1

3.35 The extra furlong on this stiff circuit could well catch the short priced fav out , and I’m with another Irish raider in San Andreas who benefitted by the switch to hold up tactics last time , winning very well and will be suited by sitting off the likely strong gallop .

1/4pt win San Andreas @ 11/2

4.10 Looks very much a match but the nod goes to Queen Aminatu whose form is slightly stronger than Manaafith .

1/2pt win Queen Aminatu @ 13/8

4.45 Surprisingly there is little early pace in this good quality sprint which will certainly help the few racing on the sharp end , one of those being the useful C&D winner Diligent Harry , whose rating gives him a fine chance of success anyway .

1/2pt win Diligent Harry @ 5/1

Lingfield – all weather – polytrack

1.30 The prolific Buxted Too has run his best two races over C&D and despite now racing on a testing mark , ticks more boxes than most and in this apprentice handicap is ridden by the excellent Billy Loughnane .

1/4pt  ew Buxted Too @ 12/1

2.40 The consistent Aussie Banker is now racing on a stiff enough mark but preferred in a winnable heat as Will Buick is 2 from 2 aboard .

1/4pt win Aussie Banker @ 11/2

3.15 Aberama Gold ran a cracker when last seen over C&D , going down narrowly , Nicely drawn and another good run likely .

1/2pt ew Aberama Gold @ 11/1

3.50 The prolific Civil Law’s programme is very much pointing to this as a realistic target . This late player ran pretty well in this last year , considering he was given a lot to do , Ryan Moore won’t make the same mistake .

1/4pt  ew Civil Law @ 9/1

Selected Bath – probably soft ground on this undulating, sharp but stiff track

1.40 Mintana comes here in good form from the all weather and has run well before on a stiff track and easy ground .

1/4pt  ew Mintana @ 10/1

2.15 Shesadabber loves the ground and could well benefit from the stable switch while Enraged comes here in fine form and another who handles soft but at the odds , it’s hard to ignore the reliable Mary Of Modena , another with soft ground form in the book .

1/4pt  ew Mary Of Modena @ 18/1

2.50 Not a deep race and the in form Fast Forward should be good enough and has form on soft .

1/4pt win Fast Forward @ 11/2

4.00 Worth a dabble on the in form Trusty Scout in a winnable heat , another who won’t fear soft ground .

1/4pt ew Trusty Scout @ 25/1

4.35 Most of these come here in good form from the all weather but unproven on soft ground . Zakram ran some good races last year on stiff tracks on soft ground and a lively looking longshot .

1/4pt  ew Zakram @ 14/1
