Tralee Hills 5.00 @ 9/1
Ginato 7.55 @ 7/1
Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
1.00All of Harbour Vision, Critical Thinking and City Wanderer bring decent track form to the table , without really looking like winning , and all three are on long losing runs . Weloof has a habit of popping in when least expected and won over C&D last time , but the 3 pound hit will test and has never backed up a good run with another . Headora finally broke his duck at the 18th attempt , the race coming over C&D when getting the better of Harbour Vision, and despite being 2 pounds worse off , winning form could be the key factor in this modest heat .
¼ pt win Headora @ 11/2
2.15 He’s been nudged up another 2 pounds and has a rare try on tapeta , but the consistent Gherkin holds his form very well and did nothing wrong on his recent comeback spin . Gustav Graves was the subject of a successful gamble over C&D last time, but those involved in the plunge had a bit of a sweat on as he lost his pitch early , but stayed on well to land the spoils , and could struggle to double up with the 5 pound hit.
¼ pt win Gherkin @ 5/2
2.50 When last seen , 2 months ago , Strategic Fortune was only landing a Classified stakes and resumes duties on a 5 pound higher mark . Too Shy Shy has run some good races off higher marks of late and put in a bold show from the front when 4th at Lingfield , finishing just behind a trio of reliable yardsticks . That was his first run for his new stable and in a modest heat well worth a dabble .
¼ pt ew Too Shy Shy @ 14/1
4.00 The hat-trick seeking Captain Kane has just a 3 pound penalty to overcome but the perennial slow starter , Ghurkhali Warrior is 2 pounds better off for the length defeat and this in form type gets the nod . Cicely disappointed last time , but had probably been to the well once too often and this dual C&D winner returns from a 2 months break, just a pound above her last winning mark , and not out of this .
¼ pt win Ghurkhali Warrior @ 4/1
4.35 This really should be a case of Lopes Dancer just turning up as his three opponents are nowhere clos to the level of form this dual C&D winner is in .

Selected Newmarket – good to firm on this undulating, stiff and galloping track
1.50 Subastar brings the worst form to the table but is still the short priced fav . He is In fairness 1 from 1 and has a Derby entry , but has to find at least 11 pounds to trouble his rivals and the nod goes to the highest rated in the field in Hoo Ya Mal , who shaped well on his comeback spin , chasing home tomorrow’s 2000Guineas even money fav Native Trail and had some useful yardsticks held behind and bred for the longer trip .
½ pt win Hoo Ya Mal @ 3/1
2.25 Gubbass won last season’s very valuable Super Sprint and ran well on his comeback spin in S group 3 , proving his stamina for this trip and holds a clear favourite’s chance .
½ pt win Gubbass @ 11/8
4.45 Carolus Magnus came into his latest run , 2 from 3 over C&D and was far from disgraced just beaten over a length . He’ll be straighter for the run and the find of the season , Harry Davies, takes a valuable 7 pounds off his back . Expect his usual prominent ride .
½ pt win Catolus Magnus @ 9/4

2.40 PREMIUM RACE
3.50 The vast majority of these come into this in tepid form , at best , and this looks a match between the prolific Chipsted , not disgraced off this mark in his recent comeback spin , and the lightly raced and consistent Twilight Madness , who gets the nod on this speedy C&d .
¼ pt win Twilight Madness @ 5/2
5.00 Mellow Magic finally gained reward for a series of good placed efforts , breaking his duck at the 8th attempt on easy ground at Windsor , but has to be tested on a 4 pound higher mark . Tralee Hills came from way back to be 4th , beaten just over 3 lengths and this late player enjoys a handy 4 pound pull . He won 3 times last season , and while he’s better on easy ground , does have good enough form on fast turf to be a factor in a race where few count , and has run well here before .
½ p tew Tralee Hills @ 9/1

Selected Punchestown – good to soft on this undulating and galloping track
3.40 Alpha Male runs in this race for the 4th time , and comes out so far with a win and 2 seconds and his recent prep race will have him spot on for this and preferred over the only real danger in An Droichead Gorm in form but the C&D form of the tip makes him the one to beat .
¼ pt win Alpha Male @ 5/2
4.15 PREMIUM RACE
6.35 Very much a match between two of the best Hunter Chasers around in last gasp Cheltenham victor Billaway and the prolific and much younger Vaucelet , who has the edge on this speed track .
½ pt win Vaucelet @ evens
7.10 El Fabiolo’s excellent close 2nd behind the very useful Jonbon is clearly the best form on show and big hitters will be rubbing their hands at 4/6 . At those odds , I’d rather watch .
7.45 A massive field and English trainer Harry Fry went close yesterday in a massive field handicap hurdle , and the vast majority of the British trained horses have acquitted themselves very well . He runs Great Name That , who like practically all of these are lightly raced and impossible to fully assess, but as he was bought for £100,000 after winning a point, has to be worth a dabble .
¼ pt win Great Name That @ 7/1

A card for Hunter Chasers .
4.40 A rare race for Hunters over 2 miles and as the useful Envoye Special was a close 2nd in this last year , I make him the one to beat over the in form fav Envious Editor .
½ pt win Envoye Special @ 2/1
5.50 PREMIUM RACE
6.25 The very consistent Fifty Shades again ran his race in this last year finishing a decent 3rd and a similar showing makes him entitled to go close again .
¼ pt ew Fifty Shades @ 10/1
7.35 The Cheltenham Marathon and of course a specialist event which clearly suited Sam Red last year , as he defied odds of 100/1 to be a good 2nd . Nice longshot .
¼ pt ew Sam Red @ 14/1
8.10 This looks the most competitive race on the card and the short list is very long but I’m again with a longshot in Clondaw Westie , who holds his form well , has been unlucky in the Aintree Foxhunters in the last two seasons and was a decent 2nd in this last year .
¼ pt ew Clondaw Westie @ 20/1

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . the track is stiff and galloping
7.55 This is definitely there for the taking and the luckless Ginato can be forgiven a below par effort in the mud last time and previously this hold up type was a close 2nd over C&D , 3 races on the spin .A lack of early pace won’t help and also the jockey is presently struggling but still hard to ignore .
¼ pt ew Ginato @ 7/1
