Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
2.10 A weak opener and the clear form horse Cuban Grey is a C&D winner but remains a bit high in the weights , meaning I can pass at just 6/4
2.40 Triple C&D winner Red Walls has run some good races of late off higher marks , but it’s essential he obtains a handy berth , and from a tricky draw , again I’m passing .
3.10 The two winners In Eden Storm and Owl Island head the market and both look as if they have plenty more to offer but the field is full of lightly raced types who have already showed ability .
3.40 The consistent C&d winner written Broadcast has been eased in the ratings and should have little problem seeing off unconvincing rivals .
3/4pt win Written Broadcast @ 5/2
4.10 Too many ifs and buts in this 3yo handicap .
4.40 PREMIUM RACE
5.15 A nasty finale as the consistent Philos continues to have difficulty getting his nose in front and with a few rivals likely to improve over this longer trip, looks an easy one to swerve.
Selected Brighton – good to firm on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
2.23 Too many ifs and buts for me.
2.53 As the vast majority of these have showed their best form on the all weather , hard to know who will take to Brighton on quick ground the best .
3.23 The spritely veteran Fieldsman responded very well to a drop in the ratings with a close 2nd employing usual front running tactics and despite having a good record here , and on quick turf , he’s been kept exclusively to the all weather for a while , so I’d rather just watch him today . Despite a wide draw , the in form Diamond Cottage should also be front rank . and is another proven over C&D. With as good pace assured , the late playing back to form C&D winner Amathus is taken to finish late and true.
½ pt win Amathus @ 7/2

4.53 PREMIUM RACE
5.26 Course specialist Rivas Rob Roy responded very well to the big drop in the ratings with a good 2nd over C&D on quick ground last time, and this will take little winning .
3/4pt win Rivas Rob Roy @ 7/2
Selected Huntingdon- good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.30 As the front running Madiba Passion is the only one in the field with experience over fences , and has run some solid races over the larger obstacles . Now on a stiff looking mark but swayed by his experience .
1/4pt win Madiba Passion @ 5/1
3.00 Another race where I found myself going around in circles .
3.30 Buxted Too put together a fine series of runs on the all weather recently , winning 5 times taking his mark from an Ok 68 to a very decent 85 . He was still in contention at Aintree on good ground a few days ago when brought down and this average novice hurdle is up for grabs .
1/2pt win Buxted Too @ 9/1
4.00 Another race up for grabs , but no clear contender .
4.30 Hard separating Judicial Law, Ask A Honey Bee and Caius Marcius , but as the latter comes here on the back of 4 wins and a place in his last 5 , and only carries a small penalty , the latter gets the nod.
1/4pt win Caius Marcius @ 4/1
5.00 Easy to swerve a tricky modest Hunter chase .
5.30 The consistent late playing Delboy Trotter has returned from his break with a fine 2nd last time and despite a drop in trip , opposition not strong .
1/2pt win Delboy Trotter @ 2/1
No Huntingdon Placepot
Selected Hexham – good ground on this stiff , undulating and galloping track
5.50 There was little between Velasco , Tara Brooch and Something Golden over C&D recently but on quicker the ground , the latter gets the nod .
1/4pt win Something Golden @ 4/1
7.20 Plenty of the field come into this in good form but Onward Route has only recently resumed duties and will be fresher than most . This is his kind of ground and remains on a fair mark , and is a course winner .
1/4pt win Onward Route @ 5/1
7.50 With both Kildrum and Robert D’Ores are far more potent on softer ground and with San Lorenzo not firing of late , the consistent C&D winner Henry Brown has the ground in his favour and races off a good mark .
1/2pt win Henry Brown @ 5/2
8.50 Chemical Warfare was a good winner last time out at Newcastle , off this mark but over fences but wasn’t beaten far over C&D over hurdles last season and the ground remains in his favour .
1/2pt win Chemical Warfare @ 7/4
Selected Ayr – good ground on this flat and galloping track
6.30 There was little between Royal Countess, Flying Moon , Berry Edge and Grace’s Quest recently over C&D , in that order, on similar ground but the tip was taken to the front a mite too early and went down narrowly and is preferred to the very hard to win with Benny Edge .
1/2pt win Flying Moon @ 3/1
8.00 The much improved Judgement Call is a dual C&D winner , likely to have his own way up front and despite a 4 pound hit, is still preferred in a winnable heat .
1/2pt win Judgement Call @ 9/2
