Today’s multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Optician 2.05 @ 4/1

Social City 1.45 @ 3/1

On The River 3.15 @ 5/1

Selected Stratford – good ground on this flat and sharp track

12.00 The mightily progressive and prolific youngster Hillview put in a career best last time when 7 pounds out of the weights, looking so badly handicapped but still beat a good field at Uttoxeter. This C&D winner is the likely victor today but 8/13 looks ridiculous as Aye Aye Charlie in particular won’t be a pushover .

No Bet

1.00Serjeant Painter looked out of it at Southwell last time but he stuck to his guns , knuckled down and won narrowly in quite a modest heat and the 3 pound hit looks about right but clear preference for the down in grade front running Cremant who brings much stronger form to the race .Cardboard Gangster won well at Perth last time off an 8 pound lower mark and over a much longer trip , and only got going in the last half mile. A very unlikely winner .

1/2pt win Cremant @ 15/8

1.30 Dual C&d winner Larch Hill was disappointing  over C&D last time , but did dispute a strong pace . With less competition for the lead , could well get back on track .

1/4pt win Larch Hill @ 7/2

1.59 All 3 of these novices won last time out and all three are hold up types ?? Could be messy .

No Bet

2.30 The lightly raced Maina Oscarina has showed enough in her two handicaps to be too good for a beatable field .

1/4pt win Marina Ocarina @ 2/1

Selected The Curragh – good ground on this undulating, stiff and galloping track

1.40 Some interesting newcomers here in Cyber Attack , a £200,000 yearling , related to a clutch of horses all rated in excess of 100 , and has a Group 2 entry , and another who catches the eye is Shelton , who only cost £10,000 as a foal but her value soared to £150,000 as a 2yo and has a Group 1 entry and has been steady in the market . Split my stakes .

1/4pt  ew Cyber Attack @ 25/1  1/4pt win Shelton @ 5/1

2.10 At the ratings the useful Order of Australia has a comfortable 6 pound buffer , but is getting no younger and only 1 win in the last 12 months . he’s up against a couple of prolific and useful types in Pearls Galore and Dr Zempf , who is 2 from 2 at this trip and was particularly impressive last time when given a very prominent ride .

1/4pt win Dr Zempf @ 9/2

3.55 PREMIUM RACE

4.30 After a smart debut when 2nd over C&D , Over The Rainbow is going to be hard to beat , but I can pass at short odds.

5.00 The fav is the lightly raced youngster Are we Dreaming , who won as she liked in a Bellewstown maiden , first time at this trip , running to a level putting her on a very generous handicap mark. She stalked the pace last time before putting the race to bed and with a handful of prominent racers , has an ideal strong pace to sit off .

1/2pt win Are We Dreaming @ 3/1

Selected Newton Abbot – good ground on this flat and sharp track

1.45 Looks very much a match but after a good 2nd last time when making more of his stamina, finishing 2nd at Ffos las , with Karanelle back in 3rd , who has landed a double since , Social City  preferred to the admirably consistent Appreciate , who’s now on a stiff looking mark .

1/2pt win , Social City  @ 3/1

2.50 Dindin is the likely winner in this weak handicap, but can chuck in a modest one every now and then .
No Bet

3.25 The very much back to form course specialist My Lady Grey is only a pound higher for a gritty win over C&D last time which gives her the nod over two likely tough rivals in Grageelagh Girl and Cresswell Queen .

1/4pt win My Lady grey @ 9/4

4.35 At the weights , Free Chakarte should get revenge over  Mucuna for her narrow defeat over C&D and that form is a bit stronger than Hill Station’s , still going well until taking a late fall over C&D last time .

1/2pt win Free Chakarte @ 9/4

5.10 Looks a three horse war between the in form trip of Kabrit , Oxwich Bay and Our Three sons and the nod goes to the tough front running tip , who should relish a return to this trip .

1/4pt win  Our Three Sons @ 11/4

No advice for Tipperary

Selected Redcar – good to firm on this flat and galloping track

2.05 Optician’s value improved from just £10,000 as a foal t £25,000 as a yearling and it looks money well spent as he was a close 4th over C&D on quick ground on debut , running to a good level and the 2 horse has won since .

1/2pt win Optician @ 4/1

3.15 The consistent Yeehah deserves a win but  first time blinkers not successful for the good stable and this C&D could be a bit sharp . On The river is another consistent soul worthy of a win and this C&D and ground likely to suit well .

1/4pt win On The River @ 5/1

3.50 The C&d winner Copper And Five was giving out good signals prior to his last race , which came over C&D , but ran below his best . Worth another chance with 4 pounds off his back .

1/4pt win Copper And five @ 8/1
