Stick With the Bear in the 2.10

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Bearwith 2.10 @ 2/1

Music Drive 3.30 @ 11/2

Centre Court 6.30 @ 3/1

Selected Southwell – good ground on this flat and sharp track

3.05 Encashment is ultra consistent but just can’t nail one . She stays on the same workable mark and the same 7 pound claimer rides and last time it looked like finally being her day when galloping all over her rivals and pushed into a 2 lengths lead , but never being in that position before , she idled and ran down close home . If the young rider times it better , not a lot to beat .

1/4pt win Encashment @ 11/4

3.40 A strong pace is on the cards which will suit the late playing and very well handicapped Sermando , a good 3rd at Chepstow last time and has form here and on drying ground .

1/4pt win Sermando @ 4/1

Selected Cheltenham – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.45 Well worth a try on the useful Northern challenger in the consistent Malystic , rarely far away and his good form on stiff tracks hold hopes that this tough track will suit .

1/2pt  ew Malystic @ 8/1

3.30 Music Drive was all the rage here last time , but could manage only 3rd , but it was still a good effort coming a 2 lengths 3rd and the slightly longer trip in his favour , and bang there on official ratings .

1/2pt win Music Drive @ 11/2

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . The track is stiff and galloping

1.35 It was less than two weeks ago when Queen Of Ipanema tried her first handicap , and was well supported to leave modest maiden form behind , and came home pulling  a truck at Wolver at this trip. She has won her next two assignments , without breaking sweat , and races today off a mark of 75 , and her first win came off just 52 ! She’s a late player and again she’s the one to beat , but at odds on , an opportunity to search for a lively longshot . The Nu Form Way landed 3 wins in 7 starts and when allowed to , runs his race off his present mark and his only try here was a vey respectable 3 lengths 4th of 9 over C&D In higher grade . A special mention to the rank outsider in Norman Kindu as a very close friend of mine is one of the owners . He won on the flat on good ground in a stayers handicap , which augured well for a career over hurdles ,but his form was very in and out and the owners were dissatisfied with the trainer’s work and now runs for Rebecca Menzies . He does handle the surface and is well handicapped ,so may well not be the forlorn hope he looks at the odds .

1/4pt  ew The Nu Form Way @ 28/1

2.10 Not for the first time, Bearwith totally blew the start last time out , which came over C&D , but performed wonders to be a good 2nd . This is certainly more about quantity than quality .

1/2pt win Bearwith @ 2/1

5.35 Pocket The Packet goes for the course hat-trick, but the 6 pound hit and extra furlong need to be overcome . Preference is for recent C&D winner Slippin Jimmy , who will be still be competitive with the 3 pound hit .

1/4pt win Slippin Jimmy @ 10/3

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta

4.55 The in form Big Impact , no issues with trip or surface and on a winnable mark has a shocker of a draw for a prominent racer while the back to form Rose Bandit , stays on the same mark , well drawn , but longer trip the issue . Kaths Toyboy won as he liked last time and the switch to tapeta no issue and the 5 pound penalty is swallowed up by a handy 5 pound claimer . Well drawn .

1/4pt win Kaths Toyboy @ 9/4

5.30 Few here set the pulses racing and worth trying the luckless Mumcat , who’s run some good races over C&D of late , in better contests . Only concern he has his first run for a different stable and was moved on quite cheaply , but still worth a dabble .

1/4pt win Mumcat @ 7/1

6.00 The ever dependable Sir Rodneyredblood is very likely to get his own way up front and the switch to tapeta no issue and the young 7 pound claimer gets on with him well .

1/4pt win Sir Rodneyredblood @ 7/2

6.30 Centre Court comes here on the back of two narrow defeats when going from the front . He’s up 4 pounds , but should have his own way up front and has less to prove than most .

1/2pt win Centre Court @ 3/1

7.00Poet finally responded to the drop in the ratings with a respectable 5th over C&D. Form certainly good enough to take a hand in this modest heat .

1/4pt ew Poet @ 7/1

7.30 Plenty of in form types but not much early pace on which makes the hat-trick seeking Double Time of interest . He did very well to win at Chelmsford City last time from the worst of the draw beating a very much in form rival in Alpha Cru . He’s up 4 pounds but handles tapeta and from the best draw , could land the hat-trick .

1/2pt win Double Time @ 5/1

8.30 an uncompetitive finale and a decent chance can be given to the consistent late playing City Escape , unlucky here last time and both the longer trip and ease in the ratings both In his favour .

1/2pt win City Escape @ 6/1

Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack

5.15 In a race more about quantity than quality , the 4 times C&D winner Rocky Dreams has been holding his form well despite going up in the ratings and a slightly lesser run last time can be attributed to being ridden by an inexperienced jockey . Regular rider’s on tonight.

1/4pt win Rocky Dreams @ 9/2

6.45 On the strength of a good 2nd over C&D last time , the lightly raced Ceallach is the short priced fav ,but the 4 times course winner Dalvey has a good pull in the weights and wasn’t far away in 4th . Lovely longshot .

1/4pt ew Dalvey @ 20/1

7.15 This will take little winning and despite a 2 pound ht for his recent C&D 2nd , Chutzpal should still go one better .

1/4pt win Chutzpal @ 3/1
