Selected Chepstow- good to firm on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
1.40 I’m keen to take on the short priced fav , recent easy Sandown winner Gert Lush with a 6 pound hit and switching to quick turf . The coast is clear for Richard P Smith to again has the lead to himself and just 2 pounds higher for a recent fast ground win at this trip and in a race for amateur riders , the jockey is well competent .
1/2pt win Richard P Smith @ 5/2
3.25 Airshow comes here on the back of an easy win at Goodwood , making all and has no penalty . He runs this track well and should be able to dominate from flagfall . Not a deep race .
1/2pt win Airshow @ 11/8
4.00 Jacqueline again got the better of Rhubarb over C&D last time and this prominent racer will have another track regular early pacer to worry about in Connie’s Rose , but this one is now a touch high in the ratings .
1/2pt win Jacqueline @ 2/1

Selected York – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.50 Plenty of early pace around in this apprentices’ handicap and the crucial question is whether recent Ponty winner Westernesse will stay the extra yardage , as he looks well capable of defying a 3 pound hit , but also , Ponty is a very different kind of track than York . Pledge of Honour put in a cracking series last season with 4 wins and 2 places from 6 starts , taking his winning mark from an ordinary 64 to a decent 73 . He comes here on the back of a good effort when 2nd at Donny at this trip . Fast ground suits and Harry Davies a very positive booking .
1/4pt win Pledge Of Honour @ 11/2
2.25 A very valuable seller and as the David Evans stable does very well in this kind of event , a chance is taken with the once raced Charlie Mason , whose debut came in a very hot Class 2 maiden at Haydock , a race he had no chance of winning , but what a drop in class.
1/4pt win Charlie Mason @ 14/1
3.00 Pink Crystal was most progressive last season but does return from an 8 months absence and is now on a stiff mark. Radio Goo Goo had to work quite hard to land the hat-trick last time which gives Distinguished Lady a chance as she was only 2 necks behind , after encountering some trouble , and could have the edge today with a slight weight pull .
1/4pt win Distinguished Lady @ 4/1
4.45 PREMIUM RACE
5.21 Wor Willie won 3 of his 6 starts last season and is back up to his most effective trip. He will have come on for his recent comeback spin and shouldn’t be troubled early on up front . Could take some catching .
1/4pt win Wor Willie @ 5/1

5.15 PREMIUM RACE
7.00 The hat-trick seeking front running Post No Bills won’t have an easy lead tonight , up in the ratings and grade and with both De Barley Basket and The Paddy Pie both sure to want a piece of the early action . This could be nicely set up for the capable veteran Barton Knoll, proven over C&D and ground and we can excuse a pulled up last time when very badly hampered .
1/4pt win Barton Knoll @ 10/1
7.35 The front running and admirably tough El Borracho is now just a bit high in the ratings and will be vulnerable late on , but as usual , will make a right fist of it . The former useful flat horse Father Of Jazz , has certainly got the hang of this jumping game and this late player is a C&D winner on a workable mark . Preference is for C&D winner Hurricane Ali , who’s only recently resumed duties and went very close at Warwick last time off around this mark , and the winner had his next race in his pocket until exiting at the final flight .
1/4pt win Hurricane Ali @ 11/4
8.10 Magistrato bounced back to form with a smart all the way win last time , and has subsequently left top trainer Paul Nicholls , so would just rather watch now with a small stable . He won’t be on his own up front as the prolific Blaze A Trail is likely to do just that , and he can keep the gallop going throughout . There was money for Lermoos Legend last time , back down to a good mark and on his preferred ground, and ran well to be a 2 lengths 2nd . Stays on the same mark and is preferred to the progressive late playing Blueberry Wine .
1/4pt win Lermoos Legend @5/2
8.45 A competitive finale but a 7 pound penalty will test Dicey Riley and Born Famous is 7 pounds higher for a win over fences , but is a good hurdler also, and hasn’t been with his stable long , and is 2 from 2 for them ! The nod goes to the consistent Emily Wade , just comes out best at the adjusted ratings .
1/4pt win Emily Wade @ 7/2

Selected Goodwood – good to firm on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
6.05 Lucky 15 was a good 2nd of 17 at Newbury before he won readily at Chelmsford City . He’s now up a stiff 6 pounds which makes the consistent Pink Lily of interest as she looks sure to have her own way up front , and was a close 2nd off this mark last time .Vegas Jack has stamina concerns .
1/2pt ew Pink Lily @ 13/2
6.40 The front running Wilderness goes a great end to end gallop . He’s a Salisbury specialist , so will handle these ups and downs, but this is a far more benign track, so could be vulnerable late on . He’s very well drawn and could well have his own way up front .
1/4pt ew Wilderness @ 7/1
7.15 The double looks a formality for the prominent racing Miss Mai Tai , up just 2 pounds for her Leicester win and the 2nd horse has gone close since . The opposition have plenty to find on current form .
3/4pt win Miss Mai Tai @ 5/4

Selected Fontwell – good ground on this sharp circuit
6.45 Another Mystery stepped up on previous with an all the win in a Market Rasen novice hurdle , a win that puts him on a good mark, but it was over further and he did have the run of the race, which he might have again . After a purple patch , Dynamite Kate is now just on too high a mark but the late playing duo of Coconut Twist and Happy Returns both have decent C&D form , and at the weights , the tip gets the nod .
1/4pt ew Happy Returns @ 9/1
7.20 The front running Pak Army goes for the 4 timer , but the 8 pound hit will surely test as will the likelihood of him having unwanted company up front . There was precious little between Fanfaron Dino and the consistent Tara Iti over C&D last time . Both have been nudged up the ratings , but the way the tip rallied late on , showed a streak of determination.
1/4pt win Fanfaron Dino @ 7/2
9.00 The lightly raced He’s A Latchico was pretty decent on the flat and was well supported to win well here last time , but the 6 pound hit and the extra yardage casts doubt about him achieving the double . Mrs Fedora was 7 lengths behind in that race , is 7 pounds better off and more likely to appreciate this trip.
1/4pt ew Mrs Fedora @ 6/1
