Platinum too stylish for these in the 1.00

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Platinum Prince 1.00 @ 2/1

Sapphire’s Moon 2.40 @ 9/1

Raddle and Hum 2.50 @ 15/8

Selected Brighton – good ground on this undulating , sharp and tricky track

1.00A good opportunity for the reliable Platinum Prince to follow up a win at Nottingham off a 3 pound higher mark . He gave them a start and a beating that day , and still won comfortably , and the placed horses have run well since. He was ridden by Anna Gibson that day and she keeps the ride in this race for apprentices , and can still claim 7 pounds . A good pace is assured and he’s run well in two tries around here .

3/4pt  win Platinum Prince @ 2/1

2.40 Hard to see Red Alert doubling up his recent win here , going up in trip and with a stiff 4 pounds hit . The late playing Sapphire’s Moon beat higher rated rivals in a modest heat over C&D , and has run well off much higher marks than today . She has yet to run a bad race at this trip and with a good pace assured , an attractive ew play .

1/2pt  ew  Sapphire’s Moon @ 9/1

3.10 The front running Hellavaheart certainly deserves a win for some bold efforts of late , but only run here wasn’t great . All of It’s How we Roll , Temur Khan and Silver Bubble have good form over C&D and the 8 times course winner Junoesque , is coming back down to a more appropriate mark , but still not firing totally , and of course won’t have the front to himself with Hellavaheart in the field. Temur Khan was a most unlucky 2nd over C&D last time and despite a 2 pound hit , this late  player has an ideal race make up with a strong pace to chase, but the overnight rain leans me towards another late player in Go On Gal, placed in 2 of 3 tries here and on the same mark as a  long priced win at Catterick last year at this trip and on easy ground .

Selected Newton Abbot – good ground on this flat and sharp track

Just the one play with the handicaps looking most tricky .

3.00 Geordie Des Champs comes into this on the back of 3 good runs , nor beaten far at all in any , and this extra yardage will be very much in his favour .

Selected Perth – possibly soft ground on this flat and sharp track

2.50 Raddle and Hum is highly consistent , but continues to find a couple too good. The overnight rain is in his favour and is likely to try and make all . He has recently run two big races at this track and a deserved win can come his way . Castletown is another consistent sort , who runs this track well , but is a pushover in the finish while recent narrow C&D winner  Get With It has both a 5 pound hit to overcome and softer ground a further issue.

3/4pt  win Raddle And Hum @ 15/8

4.20 The admirably prolific and consistent pair of Glen Ava and Lake Shore Drive , both run this C&D very well, but softer ground a likely issue . For Jim comes here in winning form and despite this C&d winner having a 4 pound penalty , soft ground holds no terrors .

1/4pt  win For Jim @ 11/2

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . The track s stiff and galloping

5.30 PREMIUM RACE

6.00 It was a very warm looking York maiden in which Sigmund was a highly promising running on 7th of 17 . This stiffer test will suit and encouragement from the pedigree for this surface . Very solid fav.

3/4pt win Sigmund @ 5/6

6.30 PREMIUM RACE

7.00 The very consistent Haveyoumissedme was an excellent 2nd over C&D in the Northumberland Vase , and has held his form well since . Just a pound higher and this prominent racer is the one to beat .

1/2pt win Haveyoumissedme @ 7/4

8.00 The clear form horse is the consistent if luckless Red Astaire ,proven both at the trip and surface and only has The Crisford newcomer in Kingori to beat .

1/2pt win Red Astaire @ 13/8

8.30 Over half of the field will be battling for early domination which makes it likely that the winner will come off the pace . The well handicapped Yaahobby is a course winner and came from some way off the pace to be 3rd at Southwell in a rare try at the minimum trip, and this stiffer finish will help.
