Teescomponents Lad 2.10 @ 5/1

Shelir 2,25 @ 11/1

Sugar Baby 4.37 @ 5/1

Selected Perth – good to soft on this flat and sharp track

2.10 Teescomponents Lad holds his form really well and was a close 2nd in this last year . Goes well fresh, ground fine and competitive off this mark . Good chance of exploiting a winning opportunity .

1/2pt win Teescomponents Lad  @ 5/1

4.30 The lightly raced Lough Carra was well supported over C&D last time , finding just one too good, narrowly . Up just a pound and should be fine on drying ground .

1/4pt win Lough Carra @ 10/3

Selected Redcar – good to firm on this flat and galloping track

2.18 I was very much with Stephenie’s Saga last time in a Newcastle nursery , and ran pretty well , considering unable to get a clear run . She’s been dropped a healthy 3 pounds and is proven on turf . Longer trip promises to suit well .

1/4pt  ew Stephenie’s Saga @ 6/1

4.03 None of these are running to their best , but there have been signs of a revival of late by the very well handicapped Bollin Margaret, a 5 times winner last season , but hasn’t even gone close this term , but all could change today .

1/4pt ew  Bollin Margaret @ 15/2

4.37 The switch to turf has been the making of the bang in form Sugar Baby , who after landing a double at this trip, was very  unlucky last time when missing a beat at the start , but still came home strongly to be a close 2nd. There’s plenty of early pace around in this to suit his strong travelling style and this won’t take much winning and is preferred to the consistent but 15 race maiden So Smart.

1/2pt win Sugar Baby @ 5/1

5.08 The bang in form Key Look backed up a win at Catterick with a good 2nd at the same venue on ground soft enough and stays on the same workable mark in a race which won’t take much winning . I was with Magical Effect when winning by a long looking 10 lengths at Catterick on deep ground , where the margin of victory was mostly due to a smart ride by Jason Hart, but 11 pounds higher today , and no mud . I’d have been keener on the tip if it wasn’t for the out of sorts Tony Hamilton in the saddle .

1/4pt  win Key Look @ 9/2

5.38 Despite both of the hat-trick seekers in Miss Candy and Albesseingyer both having stiff enough penalties , the opposition is not screaming to be backed and as all of Albesseingyer’s best run  have come on stiff tracks , the tip gets the nod .

1/4pt  win Miss Candy @ 11/4

Selected Goodwood – good to soft on this undulating, sharp and tricky track

2.25 A good pace is assured with the penalised pair of Alazwar and Percy’s Lad sure to try and make all , but both likely to vulnerable late on off their marks and testing ground . Not many come into this with high hopes and you have to give a good chance to the ultra consistent Red Mirage, going well off this mark , but this extended trip could find him out . Shelir is a top notch handicapper and comes here on the back of a cracking win  at Ripon , giving them all a start and a beating , with two very reliable yardsticks in Boardman and Dutch Decoy filling the places. Only 3 pounds higher and looked a vey different horse switching to hold up tactics . Jason Watson keeps the ride and softer ground no issue .

1/2pt ew  Shelir @ 11/1

4.45 Lawn Ranger finally responded to the huge drop in the ratings with a close 4th at Newbury in a big field. Today’s softer ground will suit this C&d winner and another big run likely .

1/4pt   ew  Lawn Ranger @ 10/1

Been through the Kempton card with my usual care and focus and can only find one worthwhile play, but it’s for Members only .

Selected Southwell – all weather – tapeta

7.00 Miss Gallagher’s dame was a smart sprinter and even though she’s ran Ok in 3 maidens , her opening mark looks on the high side and new to tapeta, but has been well punted today .

1/4pt  win Miss Gallagher @ 5/2

7.30 Soi Dao deservedly broke her duck last time and is proven over C&D , but the 6 pound hit looks excessive . The consistent Bomb Squad was a very unlucky loser last time and stays on the dame competitive mark . Up in grade , but is proven over C&D , and this isn’t competitive .

1/4pt  win Bomb Squad @ 3/1

8.00 This is a very speedy 5 furlongs which should be ideal for the flying Sampers Seven , who’s run some big races a Chester of late , one from a shocking draw. Could be hard to reel in .

1/4pt win Sampers Seven @ 5/2

8.30 The lightly raced front running Arcadian Friend could well get the run of the race from the front , but will need to returning from a 2 months break and off a 4 pound higher mark for coming only 2nd . The consistent Typewritten is 2 from 2 here and was an easy winner over C&D last time , but the 7 pound hit has him out of his comfort zone , and the 2nd horse did nothing for the form last night . The lightly raced Glen Cove came from way off the pace to win over C&D last time , beating a useful yardstick in Al Gaiya , with 4 lengths back to the 3rd . Looks capable of overcoming the penalty .

1/2pt win Glen Cove @ 4/1
