Selected Newmarket – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.50 PREMIUM RACE

3.00 Torcello runs this track well but must have soft ground , which isn’t out of the question .

1/4pt ew Torcello @ 11/1

3.35 A very valuable Group 1 for fillies and despite her astonishing progress this season , the ultra consistent and reliable Astral Beau still has it to do at the ratings but with the ground likely to soften , will have her ideal ground . Worth a dabble .

1/4pt  ew Astral Beau @ 40/1

4.45 Final Watch has had excuses of late and runs this C&D very well and any softening of the ground will suit .

1/4pt win Final Watch @ 11/2

Selected York – good ground on this flat and galloping track

2.05 There’ll be no hanging about in this with all of Zip, Able Kane and Gweedore sure to bomb off and none are well enough handicapped to stay there . The admirable Northern Express has progressed into a top handicapper and won’t mind the ground softening but is closely matched with the late playing Bopedro , who relishes soft ground and given the nod . Another Investment sluiced in over C&D last time but the 11 pound hit must be a stopper .

1/2pt  ew Bopedro @ 6/1  1/4pt  rev fc Bopedro – Northern Express

2.40 A valuable and competitive Group 3 sprint for fillies and despite having it to find with most of these on official figures , the much improved Radio Goo Goo just doesn’t know how to run a bad race and could surprise .

1/4pt ew Radio Goo Goo @ 16/1

3.15 The expensive Nighteyes brings the best form to the table and on pedigree , should handle softer ground .

1/2pt  win Nighteyes @ 3/1

4.25 PREMIUM RACE

4.55 There is an absolute stack of early pace , all across the track but one of the pacesetters , in the revitalised Glory Fighter , keeps it going well and still on a workable mark , Soft ground suits. With so much early pace around this in theory should suit the late players and the most likely candidate is the capable Papa Don’t Preach .

5.30 The in form late playing A La  Francaise’s best form has come on easy ground on stiff tracks , but has gone well on speed tracks before and gets the nod in a winnable finale .

1/4pt win  A La Francaise @ 7/1

Selected Ascot – good ground on this stiff and galloping track

2.15 Sly Madam has held her form well off her new mark and any ground softening is of benefit .

1/4pt  ew Sky Madam @ 8/1

3.25 A wide open handicap but at the odds worth trying Good Gracious , a close 4th last time and the top stable has a great record using first time blinkers .

1/4pt  ew Good Gracious @ 16/1

4.00 Sumo Sam takes a drop into handicap company and could just be too good for these , especially if the rains come .

1/4pt win Sumo Sam @ 8/1

5.10 The lightly raced Havana Pusey went close off this mark in a recent soft ground handicap which gives her claims in an open finale .

1/4pt win Havana Pusey @ 11/2

Selected Chester – good to soft on this flat and sharp track

6.55 After landing just a seller , Gray’s Inn stepped up considerably on his first start for Jack Channon with an excellent close 3rd in  a Class 2 at Haydock at this trip and as he’s proven on soft , this prominent racer will take some beating .

1/2pt win Gray’s Inn @ 7/4

7.30 Dark Pine comes here in fine form , including a close 2nd here on soft ground . Off around the same mark , but this time ridden by an able 3 pound claimer , and over a more suitable trip, looks a nice ew play . He’s a hold up type, who are hard to win with but is rarely far away .

1/4pt ew Dark Pine @ 7/1

8.05 Count d’Orsay comes here on the back of an easy ground win at Hamilton , and the 2nd horse has won well since. Up 4 pounds but goes well here and his record at this interim trip is 2 places from 3 tries . Soft ground suits well .

1/4pt win Count d’Orsay @ 7/2

Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

7.10 Not a deep race and worth chancing the reliable Bantry to go one better than his recent  close 2nd over C&D on easy ground off just a pound lower.

1/4pt win Bantry @ 5/1

8.55 An uncompetitive finale and a good opportunity for the consistent and luckless Turner Girl to nail a deserved win . No issues with trip, ground or mark and her form is stronger than the other market leader in Pfingstberg .

1/2pt win Turner Girl @ 2/1
