3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Hildegard 7.30 @ 4/1
Judgement Call 3.40 @ 7/1
Spirit Of The Ash 2.30 @ 5/2
Selected Musselburgh – good to firm on this flat and galloping track. Speed track
2.30 A weak classified stakes for openers and a recent close 3rd over C&D in a handicap by the late playing Spirit Of Ash represents the strongest form and has every chance at these weights .
1/4pt win Spirit Of Ash @ 5/2
3.40 Judgement Call holds his form very well and can be forgiven a lesser effort last time on unsuitable mud. He’s now on a stiff enough mark but a recent 2 lengths 5th of 13 in higher grade at York reads very well , especially as for once he fluffed the start .
1/4pt win Judgement Call @ 7/1

Selected Southwell – good to soft on this flat and sharp track , speed track
Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
5.25 The fav is the well drawn and consistent Brequet Boy , who has moved to Archie Watson since Keithy Dalglish’s decision to leave the sport . He is a course winner but of late has looked held off his new mark , but very fair to expect improvement joining a good stable . In this race for amateur riders, he’ll be well handled by Brodie Hampson but slight preference is for dual course winner Point Louise , whose latest tame effort can be forgiven , as she’s been struggling on turf for some time . There’s plenty of early pace about to help this late player , under a very experienced jockey .
1/4pt win Point Louise @ 5/1
6.00 The consistent Tokyo Dreamer brings the strongest form to the table and proven at the trip . Her draw could have been kinder , the jockey could be in better form and tries tapeta for the first time , but still preferred at nice odds .
1/4pt win Tokyo Dreamer @ 5/1
6.30 The consistent Magic Gem returned from a lengthy absence with a fine win over C&D in a Classified and should still be competitive off just a 3 pound higher mark, but how will he fare 2nd run back after an absence . The fav is Hezahunk , but despite a good effort on polytrack last time, doesn’t fill one with confidence considering how rarely he sees the racecourse . Bluebell’s Boy continues to get plenty of help from the handicapper and ran well for a long way at Newcastle last time and this well drawn prominent racer will appreciate the further ease in the ratings and this more benign track.
1/4pt win Bluebell’s Boy @ 5/1

7.30 Not a deep race and after a closing 3rd in a better race at Kempton , the lightly raced Hildegard is taken to open her account . Switch to tapeta has to be taken on trust but well drawn and a capable 5 pound claimer rides .
1/2pt win Hildegard @ 4/1
8.00 The late playing and very well handicapped Asadjumeirah continues to knock at the door , including over C&D . He’s on a losing run as is the jockey at this track , but holds a clear chance .
1/4pt win Asadjumeirah @ 4/1
Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack
6.20 A low quality sprint handicap, further complicated by it being for apprentice jockeys , The fav is the well drawn recent Wolver winner Bungle Boy , up 3 pounds , but that’s not bad in this modest heat , but below par in all runs on polytrack . With a stack of early pace around worth a dabble on triple course winner Jumeira Bridge , a hold up type , and despite being a few pounds high , shouldn’t be far away .
1/4pt ew Jumeira Bridge @ 12/1
6.50 Commander Of life runs in Derby winning colours and ran to a good enough level last time at Kempton , which is the best polytrack form at this trip in the field, but this race is full of runners from top stables .
1/4pt win Commander Of Life @ 4/1
7.20 Never This way runs in famous colours for a top stable and goes handicapping on a very fair mark . He handles the surface and the step back up in trip likely to suit . Draw could have been kinder .
1/4pt win Never This Way @ 7/2
