Selected Newton Abbot – good ground this flat and sharp track
2.17 The consistent and in form Hooper is on a very good mark , handles this kind of C&D well and this won’t take much winning but with first time blinkers , often a warning sign for inmates of the Nicky Henderson stable , I can pass at short odds .
2.52 Both the progressive and prolific Bathiva and the very tough Mercian Prince will go off like the clappers , which would make the late playing Romanor of interest , but the stable record after wind ops is not good . The tip lost nothing in defeat when a close 2nd to the much revived Kauto The king over C&D , and has been in top form racing in France of late . Very determined in the finish .
1/2pt win Mercian Prince @5/2
3.27 A good pace is assured with Every Breakin Wave and Maria Magdalena sure to go out hard and neither have been knocking on the door of late . Both Faint Hope and Loved Out are in form late players and at the ratings the lightly raced youngster gets the nod .
1/4pt win Loved Out @ 9/2

Selected York – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.50 On official ratings , the short priced fav Mighty Ulysees has a couple of pounds buffer , only , and considering his last win was in a Listed event , and the 3rd horse has done nothing for the form , I’m trying a longshot in the back to form Finest Sound , a prominent racer , who handles fast ground well and looks well overpriced for his chance .
1/4pt ew Finest Sound @ 22/1
2.25 Kept going around in circles in this fielndishy difficult valuable 3yo stayers handicap .
3.00 As far as the ratings are concerned , you can throw a blanket around the whole field, just 3 pounds between them . Sacred has had a light season and didn’t have the luckiest of runs at Glorious Goodwood last time when behind 3 of these , but only just . Back to a more conventional track , this late player can have her day .
1/4pt win Sacred @ 10/3
3.35 PREMIUM RACE
4.10 PREMIUM RACE
4.45 Rocket Rodney is firmly established as one of the best juvenile sprinters around and this late player can defy a small penalty against much inferior opposition .
3/4pt win Rocket Rodney @ 13/8
5.20 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Chester– , good ground on this flat , sharp and low numbers in the draw have a clear advantage
Today’s Chester multi
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Sampers Seven 4.15 @ 8/1
Riversway 4.50 @ 9/1
Titan Rock 3.40 @ 3/1
2.30 The joint favs are both front runners and both carry penalties and both have stamina concerns , therefore , despite having a bit to find on official ratings, the consistent Queen Of Uplands , could surprise , staying on the best .
1/4pt win Queen Of Uplands @ 9/2
3.05 Very rare having a German raider at Chester , but the globetrotting Loft is a useful sort , and too good for outclassed rivals .
3/4pt win Loft @ 11/10
3.40 The well drawn Positive Impact is the likely front runner , but struggled off this mark late on last time , under a very able 5 pound claimer , so the booking of Harry Burns , unlikely to make a difference . Titan Rock has caught the eye more than once of late, running on well ,often from bad draws. Well drawn today and could lie handier , and has gone very close over C&D before off around this mark .
1/2pt win Titan Rock @ 3/1
4.15 Sampers Seven is a real flier and comes here on the back of a terrific effort here when managing to lead from a bad draw and only gave best late on to be 3rd . Much better drawn today and could be away and gone.
1/2pt win Sampers Seven 8/1
4,50 Plenty of early pace around in this sprint handicap and unlikely that something will be able to go all the way , and this has a very winnable look to it. Riversway was a cosy winner at Donny on her first try at the minimum trip , coming off the pace to win well . Up in grade , but is unexposed , up just 3 pounds and not badly drawn.
1/2pt ew Riversway @ 9/1
5.25 Not a deep finale and a good chance for C&d winner Call My Bluff , who ended last season on a high , 2 wins and a 2nd, and a cracking 3rd here earlier in the season , shows that he’s not handicapped out of things just yet .
1/2pt win Call My Bluff @ 4/1
Selected Sandown – good ground on this stiff and galloping track
2.05 A valuable fillies Group 3 and practically all of these come here in top form. Not much early pace in this, so despite having quite a bit to find on official ratings , the reliable, tough and strong staying Random Harvest , could well dictate from a good draw, and will certainly run all the way to the line .
1/4pt ewRandom Harvest @ 22/1
2.40 This looks a 3 horse war and impossible to be sure which if Defence of Fort , Desert Hero or Silver Knott is the superior , but ss the tip came impressively off the pace to win on debut at Ascot on quick ground , ticks a few more boxes.
1/4pt win Defence Of port @ 10/3
3.15 Shadwell has seriously scaled down their operation so anything wearing the famous blue and white silks has to be of interest . Zainalarab did well winning at Chester from a wide draw and carrying a penalty , and goes handicapping on a fair mark , but 6/4 too skinny .
3.50 PREMIUM RACE
5.00 The Toff wasn’t beaten far in a big field nursery last time off around this mark and despite this looking tricky , looks twice the odds he should be.
1/4pt win The Toff @ 6/1
Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack
4.40 After plummeting In the ratings, Twilight Secret has bounced back to form with two big runs on the all weather , the latest a good 2nd at Chelmsford City , in a far better race , but now on a 6 pound high mark so preference for the reliable Porfin, not handicapped out of things , despite a recent win on turf , and is a far better all weather horse .
1/4pt win Porfin @ 7/2
5.50 It’s not unusual for juveniles to rattle off sequence in nurseries as frequently a few drop under the radar off generous opening marks . After landing a double, Talamanca was held yesterday at Wolver , off a 6 pound lower mark than tonight . That should hand it on a plate to recent close nursery 3rd Paddy Brunty , and this is uncompetitive .
1/2pt win Paddy Brunty @ 9/4
7.20 This is very weak and it will be disappointing if the well bred for plainly modest Coconut Bay can’t land this . Not beaten far in her first handicap over C&D , and this is much easier .
1/2pt win Coconut Bay @ 5/1
Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack
4.51 Street Poet is very much a regular here and despite being a few pounds high in the ratings, will again run his race, probably from the front in this field, despite the wide draw, and though modest , is a trier .
1/4pt win Street poet @ 5/1
5.26 Rock Girl was entitled to shed her maiden tag last week in a modest heat , despite starting at relatively generous odds . She’s just as good on polytrack and well drawn to attack early again . and her penalty is swallowed up by the very able 7 pound claimer Connor Planas .
1/4pt win Rock Girl @ 2/1
6.00 Considering that the fav , al Khazneh , only had 2 lengths to spare over an unlucky looking Pembrokeshire at Kempton , and the latter is 4 pounds better off and when taking into account apprentices allowances, then and now , is now 14 pounds better . Has to be a decent play at long odds .
1/2pt ew Pembrokeshire @ 18/1
6.35 Should be easy for the expensive Lil’ Frank , with surface and longer trip expected to suit on pedigree .
7.05 The step back into handicap company off a slightly higher mark is no help for recent C&d winner Company Mix while the ultra reliable Miss Bella Brand , will run her race , but is still high in the ratings . Noteable has yet to strike , but has gone close a few times , including when a close 4th behind Bondi Girl at Leicester and now 3 pounds better off . First time on the surface , but worth a go at long odds in a winnable heat .
1/4pt ew Noteable @ 14/1
