Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta. The track is stiff and galloping

Cloch Nua 4.30 @ 14/1
Hidden Pearl 4.40 @ 8/1
Merweb 5.45 @ 14/1
1.00There’ll be no hanging around here as 5 of the 8 runners are known for front running , including the fav Lizzie Jean . Thundering holds his form well , is proven at the track and at this trip . He’s on a good mark and this late player looks good to pick up the pieces when the race falls apart .
3/4pt win Thundering @ 9/4
2.10 Rocket Rob has a massive 9 pound penalty for a shock win over C&D last time which brings Biplane into the argument as this course winner has a massive turnaround in the weights for finishing mid div . Distinction will again run his race and one of these will surely drop his way . The fav is the in form turf horse Fergie Time , and if handling this C&D could take some stopping as likely to be front rank throughout . The consistent Odds Socks Havana has found things tougher since being elevated to this mark . Consistent Distinction the play .
1/4pt ew Distinction @ 8/1

3.20 Many of these sprinters are now on stiff marks , and have only themselves to blame as they’re so wonderfully reliable and consistent .Hot Diggity Dog is not the easiest to win with but has a close 2nd over C&D on his CV and a pound lower today .
1/4pt win Hot Diggity Dog @ 5/1
4.30 There is a stack of early pace in this and it’s very likely the those up front will be waving white flags as the race gains interest . The well handicapped Cloch Nua is one of the few hold up horses in the field and has run some OK races of late .
1/4pt ew Cloch Nua @ 14/1
Selected Nottingham – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.45 Prince Of Bel Air wasn’t disgraced in his hat-trick bid when not ridden to advantage . He is now on a stiff mark , but so are both the other two last time winners , and this C&D winner gets the nod , likely to be hard to catch from the front .
1/4pt win Prince Of Bel Air @ 3/1
4.40 A race for apprentice jockeys aboard runners who are in the main consistent but wins hard to come by . Hidden Pearl is a 27 race maiden , but it looked lie celebration time last time out , which came over C&D , when sprinting into a 4 lengths lead, but did too much too early and could only manage 2nd . With a slightly more patient ride , this could be her day .
1/4pt ew Hidden Pearl @ 8/1
Selected Newmarket – good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
1.25 I’m with experience here as Metahorse did very well on debut to be a close 3rd at the tricky Chester and can put experience to good use .
1/2pt win Metahorse @ 7/4
2.00 Vaynor could struggle to double up with a stiff penalty and a drop in trip. The massively consistent Eight Of Diamonds has clear claims again but the front running Jalea Moon is doing little wrong and preferred at the odds .
1/4pt win Jalea Moon @ 6/1
2.35 With a stack of early pace around , the late playing and strong staying and reliable Devaste looks good to sit off the pace and Harry Davies claiming 5 aboard, a clear positive .
3/4pt win Devaste @ 7/4
3.45 Deodar had a facile task on his comeback spin but hasn’t been done any favours by the handicapper . Lord Rapscallion hasn’t won for 2 years , but ran very well at Epsom last time , but not known for his consistency .
1/4pt win Lord Rapscallion @ 4/1
4.20 The admirable Roxzoff , 4 wins and 3 seconds in his last 7 , is probably now on a testing mark, but will again run his race and this is not a big ask .
1/2pt win Roxzoff @ 7/4
4.55 A Chance can be given to most but the sole front runner Mr Chua , has run well in both starts this season. This C&D unlikely to be an issue and the booking of Jim Crowley catches the eye .
1/2pt win Mr Chua @ 7/2
Selected Leicester – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
5.45 It was only a weak affair in which Tribuna Uffizi broke his duck last time and you have to worry about the 5 pound hit and switching to a stiff circuit . The front running Lednikov sees this trip out really well and is only a pound higher for a recent , very determined win at Musselburgh and as he stays further should be fine over C&D but Johnny Egan takes the reins today and has a shocking record here . As Thunder Flash is another unlikely to appreciate the stiff circuit, worth a try on one of the longshots in Merweb. A winner at Bath just 3 runs ago off a 2 pound lower mark and unlucky at the same venue next time . Stiff circuit suits , as does quick ground for this late player .
1/4pt ew Merweb @ 14/1
6.15 The William Haggas I Am The Sea is the short priced fav in this uncompetitive handicap , but form is very ordinary and evens is easy to ignore , but saying that , who’s going to beat him ?
6.45 As usual Nikki’s Girl won’t be far away but found this C&D stiff enough when emptying out here a few runs ago coming 3rd off this mark . As Mostallim is now on a very stiff mark and Haseef not really firing , the nod goes to Sense Of Security , whose best run this season was a strong finishing close 2nd over C&D on quick ground at this mark .
1/4pt win Sense Of Security @ 9/2
7.15 The front running Devon Envoy goes for the hat-trick but the 7 pound hit will test . He’s likely to have the lead to himself and will like the ground and C&D but goes up to a grade in which he is 1 place in 5 tries ! Golden Duke is part-owned by a very good friend of mine , Billy , and we were prematurely cheering him home last time at Donny , until something came from the back and spoiled the day . Off the same mark, decent chance tonight .
1/4pt win Golden Duke @ 5/2
Selected Hamilton – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

8.00 It’s hard putting a line through any of the 4 , all looking to have equal looking chances which makes the rank outsider Ayr empress worth a dabble , especially as her record here is a win and 3 places from 5 tries .
