Selected Stratford – good ground on this flat and sharp track

1,35 Since returning from his Winter break , Easkey Lad , who is now with the very lovely Rebecca Curtis , has put in two mixed runs , but both times found the trip too far . Looks a nice ew play now back to a more appropriate distance .

Selected Thirsk – good to firm on this flat and galloping track , speed track

2.55 PREMIUM RACE

4.05 The admirable Tamaska continues to hold his form very well and comes here on the back of yet another big run when a good 2nd at Musselburgh, but the 3rd horse hasn’t done much for the form and jockey Shane Grey is 0 from 3 when aboard . The prolific Cliffcake recently resumed duties with a distant 2nd at Nottingham , over further , and unlikely to be suited to this sharper test and quicker ground . Reputation has responded well to the drop in the ratings a couple of times of late , two good 2nds off around this mark and this late player looks a lively longshot .

1/4pt  ew  Reputation @ 12/1

5.15 With all of the recent winners in : Birkenhead , Lost My Sock , Harrogate , and Boudica Bay now all on testing marks , a good opportunity for the lightly raced Murbih , as his good 2nd at Ripon , at this trip and around this mark brings him very much into the argument and the booking of able 3 pound claimer Harry Russell will also help this prominent racer .

Royal Ascot – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track

2.30 Baaeed is a perfect 7 from 7 and is a very warm order , 1/6 , to extend is sequence and no reason why he won’t , tactically versatile , C&D winner and ground fine . He’s no use at those odds for most of us, but there will be some out there , boldly laying down bundles of readies for their bet of the week . You’d be getting about 15% on your money for 90 seconds work , still can’t tempt me.

3.05 A very hard race to predict as many of these juveniles are unbeaten , and who knows what they have left in the tank. A strong pace is on the cards with at least half a dozen front runners , with pace all across the track, so the draw unlikely to be an issue . I take close notice to juveniles who don’t have to lead to win and one of the favs is Persian Force , who is 2 from 2 and somebody knew what they were doing as his value zoomed to £225,000 as a yearling , and has won both starts coming off the pace , winning smoothly both times but at the odds I’m trying Irish raider Harry Time , another whose value rocketed , this time as a 2yo , and did very well to win in his only start , from a wide draw at the stiff circuit of Naas, giving them a start and a beating and worth a dabble at long odds .

1/4pt  ew Harry Time @ 25/1

3.40 PREMIUM RACE

4.20 The odds on fav is the easy 2000 Guineas winner Coroebus but despite him being the clear form horse , I’m of the opinion he’d do well to win as he’s a late player and it’s not easy played late on the round course here as the straight is fairly short . I’m with another long priced unexposed type in Aikhal , who is Aidan O’Brien’s only runner in the field , which says a lot as he must have plenty at home who’s run big races . He has the best of the draw and is a prominent racer and his runs do suggest the best is yet to come . Absence is no real issue .

Selected Beverley – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track

5.10 Dear My friend did well wining on debut at Carlisle but carries the dreaded penalty and goes up in trip which gives Sol Cayo , , just a length behind in that race , fine prospects of revenge with the weight pull and the longer trip also a positive .

1/4pt win Sol Cayo @ 10/3

6.15 Both Clarendon House and Moss Gill have at least 5 pounds in hand over Just Frank , but both come here under a cloud and decent chance of the tip opening up an unassailable lead .

1/4pt win Just Frank @ 10/3

6.45 Eligible’s recent win did come out of the blue so hard to be excited about prospects of doubling up with a penalty . Master Richard has been nudged up the ratings and this stiff C&D could well catch him out . The lightly raced Head Chef responded to the drop in the ratings with a good win at Ripon and certainly has prospects with just a 2 pound hit but the nod goes to the late playing Monsieur Jumbo , who’s been knocking at the door at this trip and mark .

1/4pt  win Monsieur Jumbo @ 6/1

8.15 Irv has never been the prolific type , and is just 2 from 34 ! and his last win came 2 years ago off a mark of 78 , but since then his fortunes have gone the wrong way , but off his plummeting mark , showed much more last time with a running on close 4th , and has been dropped another pound . Could be a most overdue return to the Winners’ Circle off a mark of just 55 .

1/4pt win Irv @ 4/1

Selected Brighton- good to firm on  this undulating , sharp and very tricky track

6.23 Nigg Bay has run well in his last two races , both here on quick ground. He’s not the easiest to win with , 3 from 50 ! but has  never been so low In the handicap and with a good pace likely , this could be this late player’s day .

1/4pt win Nigg Bay @ 4/1

7.53 Fieldsman is likely to bomb out and as he’s run well here before and remains on a fair mark , not out of this at all and is preferred to recent C&D winner Attache , who is now on a very stiff mark while the bang In form Above It all, is only 2 pounds higher for a soft ground win at Haydock , but issues with the quicker ground and this tricky track . Poetic Force nailed a deserved win here last time in a small yet competitive field but the drop in trip is an issue , as is the 3 pound hit . Run Forrest Run has a terrific record here , 2 wins and a 2nd in 3 tries , the 2nd coming last time out when narrowly beaten  and off around the same mark , given the nod .
