Magna Moralia , 2.20 , cracking ew play

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Wind In Your Sails 2.40 @ 4/5

Magna Moralia 2.20 @ 9/1

Abate 7.55 @ 11/8

Selected Thirsk – good to firm on this flat and galloping track, speed track

2.40 Wind In Your sails , a well related expensive purchase , went down all guns blazing on quick ground at Windsor . She’s the only one of those with a chance proven on quick ground , brings the best form to the table , this C&D should suit and expect another prominent ride .

3/4pt win Wind In Your Sails @ 4.5

3.40 The ex-Irish Laakhoof has taken his form to a new level since switching to the minimum trip and improved on his first win when spreadeagling the field at Musselburgh , another speed track . Proven on the ground and has no penalty . Should have too much pace for rivals. Imperial Khan is not well drawn and a bit to prove as his win came at the stiff track of Beverley .

1/2pt win Lakhoof @ evens

4.10 Not a deep race at all and the clear form horse is recent Ripon winner Knightswood , likely to follow up with just a 3 pound hit .

1/2pt win Knightswood @ 5/6

4.40 Atomise is interesting as she has only recently joined the Master Of Sprinters Michael Dods , and she shaped up pretty well in her first run for her new stable , and the return to this trip well in her favour . She’s dropped to a very good mark and has a rare run in Class 6 . Nicely drawn

1/4pt  ew Atomise @ 12/1

Selected Market Rasen – good ground on this mostly flat and sharp track

2,20 Magna Moralia responded very well to the drop in the ratings and a switch of stable to be a close 2nd over C&D last time , in higher grade and the likely stronger pace today makes him a lovely ew play .

1/2pt ew Magna Moralia @ 9/1

2.50 A good quality Class 2 handicap and there’ll be no hanging around with very useful handicapper Hang On There sure to want to dominate as too will the 4 timer chasing Mullinaree as too will The Wounded Knee . Hang on There ran his customary good race last time at Aintree where he had Impulsive One a few lengths back in 4th , and as this one is an effective late player and switches to the capable Brian Ellison, for £40,000 , has longshot appeal .

1/4pt ew Impulsive One @ 14/1

4.20 Rocambolas put in a good run last time at Worcester in his first chase . The form looks solid and can overcome a 2 pound hit .

1/4pt win Rocambolas @ 7/2

4.50 As both recent winners in Belvedere Blast and Vision Of Hope have stiff penalties , this presents itself as a good opportunity for recent Cartmel 2nd Clean Getaway , who stays on the same mark . It was a selling handicap, but an above average one .

1/4pt  win Clean Getaway @ 4/1

Selected Brighton – good to firm on this undulating , sharp and tricky track

2.00 There was plenty of money for Havana Heat last time in his first handicap , and it only narrowly went astray going down a head . He stays on the same mark , but does switch from polytrack to quick turf , but should still land a modest contest .

2.30 The late playing Master Sully came out best of himself , Mr Fayez and Mr Pc over C&D last time , and no reason why the outcome won’t be the same on the same terms .

1/4pt double Havana Heat @ 7/4  Master Sully @ 6/4 – pays almost 6/1

5.00 As Marsh Bentham has a 3 pound penalty , drops in trip and switches from soft ground , worth a dabble on C&D winner Queen Sarabi , back down to her last winning mark , and could take some catching .

1/4pt  win Queen Sarabi @ 8/1

Selected Bath – firm ground on this undulating , sharp but stiff track

6.38 Toca Madera ran to a good level on debut here on quick ground and the slightly longer trip well in his favour . Very solid fav .

3/4pt win Toca Madera @ evens

7.13 A weak contest and despite Bailar Contigo having a slight edge at the ratings , firm ground and a drop in trip , makes this is a tough task. Kraken Filly landed a handicap over C&D last time and the double looks on .

1/4pt win Kraken Filly @ 7/4

Selected Goodwood – good to firm on this undulating ,stiff and tricky track

7.35 A fine opportunity for Frankness after a smart effort when a close 5th at Chester from a bad draw , and that’s not the only piece of form which makes her the one to beat .

1/2pt win Frankness @ 5/4

8.10 Despite both Age Of Sail and Later Darling having penalties for recent wins on turf , they are likely to fight out the finish against unconvincing rivals . Both of the principals ‘ victories resulted from them both changing tactics , the former front running , the latter held up. I liked the way came off the pace to win cleverly and the win came at Brighton , similar track to this .

1/4pt win Later Darling @ 4/1

Selected Haydock – good to firm on this flat and galloping track

6.45 King Of The Plains was fancied to give the useful Ghara a good race , and so he did , and as he’s proven at the trip and ground , looks another solid fav .

1/2pt win  King Of The Plains @ 10/11

7.20 The lightly raced filly Absolutelyflawless 3 wins from 8 runs and comes here on the back of a narrow defeat at Chester off around this mark , and again should run her race .

1/4pt win Absolutelyflawless @ 5/2

7.55 Abate took full advantage of an ease in the ratings to make all at Hamilton , winning with ease . He has no penalty , the extra furlong suits well and opposition well beatable .

3/4pt win Abate @ 11/8
