3.45 Despite a very poor effort in a maiden, there was huge confidence behind Ehteyat in his first handicap , going up in trip at Southwell and demolished what was just modest opposition . The 5 pound hit looks well within range but does drop in trip by a half mile , but in a race for amateur riders has the best in the field with Simon Walker . Raiff has run two good races either side of this trip , both times narrowly beaten and this late player stays on the same mark. Would be a very solid ew play but ridden by an inexperienced jockey . Just a dabble .

3.55 The versatile mare Effernock Fizz is absolutely thriving over jumps and was only narrowly defeated in a Class 2 handicap at Cheltenham in a good field off a lofty mark of 133 and previously was victorious in The Welsh Champion Hurdle , off the same mark , both times making all . She’s a regular here , despite the fact she is 0 from 17 , but did go close over C&D last March off a 4 pounds higher mark . This may be a pipe opener for her to resume duties over the sticks, but still long odds considering her profile .
