Selected Worcester – good ground on this flat and galloping track

1.35 Chances of sorts can be given to all five but the lightly raced Bagheera Ginge landed a novice hurdles double last Autumn and was favourite for a hot Chepstow handicap , but failed to fire . After a tame comeback spin , first time over fences , showed a lot more like it last time when in with every chance until taking a late fall giving the prolific and progressive Chief Black Robe something to worry about . Very nice play at the odds for this prominent racer .

1/2pt win  Bagheera Ginge @ 11/2

5.05 Kapitaliste can be relied upon to run his race and is his own worst enemy as his consistency makes it impossible for the handicapper to ease him from his current testing mark , but this isn’t as deep race , and he runs this C&D well.

1/4pt win Kapataliste @ 5/1

Selected Hamilton – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.50 The dual course winner Lochnaver put in a much improved run last time , despite the ground being far quicker than preferable , but he did have an easy lead and that’s unlikely with Desert Quest in the field , especially as this one returns from an 8 months absence and likely to go a good gallop . Buford did well when held for a late charge over C&D last time out , beaten just a length off this mark , compensation awaits .

1/2pt win  Buford @3/1

3.30 The course regular Iris Dancer responded very well to the ease in the ratings with a fine 2nd over C&D on ground fast enough , beaten just a head when racing front rank throughout and kept going all the way . She stays on the same mark and had another C&D specialist Elladora 2 lengths behind and no reason for a reversal . Fine chance.

1/2pt win Iris Dancer @ 3/1

4.10 The admirably consistent Obama Gold remains on a workable mark , has no issue with this kind of C&D and ground fine and preferred to recent Brighton all the way winner  Mickey Mongoose who had the run of the race that day and the 6 pound hit looks a stopper .

1/2pt win  Obama Gold @ 13/8

Selected Royal Ascot – good ground on this stiff and galloping track

3.05 PREMIUM RACE

4.20 An absolute humdinger of a Group 1 and with the exception of the American trained 100/1 shot Classic Causeway , who’ll still pick up £13,500 for coming last , paying his airfare , the other 5 are very closely matched at the ratings , rated from 121-123 , very lofty and classy . Aiden O’Brien has kept the faith with Luxembourg who just got the better of Bay Bridge in a Curragh Group 1 last time and he is the pick today as he’s likely to get his own way up front .

1/2pt win Luxembourg @ 6/4

Sorry nothing of interest in a tricky Newcastle card

Selected Ripon – good ground on this undulating and sharp track

6.35 The luckless Anjo Bonita will again run her race , and on a fair mark in her first handicap but preference is for the Southern trained Khinjani , a good 3rd in her first handicap . Stays the trip well and this looks a decent opportunity .

1/4pt win Khinjani @ 7/2

7.10 Another Baar is a progressive and prolific young sprinter who is a dual C&D winner and for good measure overcame a 10 pound hit and a drop in trip to win at Beverley . Up another 6 pounds , but an able 5 pound claimer takes the reins tonight . Looks capable of another win , but the low draw may test .

1/4pt win  Another Baar @ 11/4

7.40 Captain Kane is racing like a winner about to happen as this consistent sort is very competitive off this good mark, 3 pounds below his last winning mark . He again ran well last time out behind Auld Toon Loon , just beaten over a length over a trip short of his best and this late player will have an ideal strong pace to chase and can go 2 from 2 over C&D .

1/2pt win Captain Kane @ 5/1
