1.40 as Jean Genie is hard to catch right and also with his stable struggling , looks a match between the in form and reliable pair of Lelantos and Gethepot , but as the latter has experience over fences , and was looking good for the win last time in his first chase , until taking an unlucky last fall , and as he’s proven at the track, gets the vote .

4.35 The lightly raced Bells Of Standford signed off with a smart win at Ayr , and the 4 pound hit could have been worse but returns from a 5 months absence and with the stable not firing and also the horse doesn’t go well fresh , time to look elsewhere . Cobbs Corner ended the season with a good 3rd at Fakenham , but that was also 5 months ago and is another likely to need the run . Miss Bamby was a winner at this trip on just a pound lower at Hereford and ran well for a long way in her recent pipe-opener and preferred .

Selected Leicester – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
1.25 A very tricky opener as in this big field nursery , plenty go handicapping for the first time , and no doubt there will be a few lurking on good marks , finding this easier than the maidens they’ve been trying . The fav is Granny B , who didn’t come cheap , and ran well for a long way In deep looking Ayr nursery but when 5th in a Ponty maiden , Poppy Carew , another who didn’t come cheap and with a good stable , was only 3 lengths behind , and the 5 pound pull gets her much closer . Worth a dabble at long odds .

It’s hard enough finding winners at Brighton but adding another variable in soft ground, results in the majority of the races here today being In the lap of the Gods .
1.33 Lethal Angel has become a standing dish here , her last 3 wins coming over C&D , but a massive 8 pounds higher and soft ground unlikely to suit., and was beaten over C&D by the prolific Mary Of Modena , and 6 pounds worse off today . Mary of Modena handles soft ground , and as she’s just 2 pounds higher gets the nod. Bama Lama is rarely far away and was placed I this race last year off a higher mark while the front running Willingly has lived up to her name of late with 3 wins In her last 4 , all on soft ground and just 3 pounds higher today .

6.00 Not a deep looking or quality nursery and well worth a try on recent Kempton 4th Oasis Power , which came in a far better race and looked likely to appreciate this longer trip . Tapeta debut but stable rarely targets here but have been successful .

She’s taking on mostly newcomers , the pick being the Godolphin juvenile Castle Peak, typical for the syndicate , cost a packet and well related , but experience counts for plenty and to be beaten , something will have to run to a level of around 80, which takes some doing on debut .
